Facebook lost daily users for the first time in its 18-year history which CEO Mark Zuckerberg believes was caused by the TikTok boom.'People have a lot of choices for how they want to spend their time, and apps like TikTok are growing very quickly,' Zuckerberg said during an earnings call Wednesday, according to the Washington Post.Facebook reported a drop of nearly 500,000 in daily logins during the last three months of 2021. Zuckerberg reiterated that Meta - the company that owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp - is pushing hard to develop its short-form video Reels in an effort to compete with TikTok.

I left during the run-up to November 2020 when it became obvious that my opinion was no longer welcome on FB. But long before the election I began realizing that their 'Al-Gore-rhythm' even when I was simply posting a joke limited which of my 'friends' actually saw it to read and I got so little feedback that I lost interest - who wants to tell a joke only to themselves? Zuckerberg is a pretentious character (which I can live with) but ANY business hijacked by one side of the political divide at the expense of real/potential customers better be selling air and water.

TikTok? Much more likely that it was the censorship of differing voices and the $500 million Zuck coughed up to cheat TaliBiden into the WH. I was on Fakebook for about 3 months when it first started but only logged in a very few times. I found it really creepy when boyfriends from high school back in the late 60s started trying to friend me. And that was long before all of the communist crap started.

Fakebook has run its course. Conservative users are having everything censored by the Guardians of Information except for cat and dog pictures. Censorship and security has made it nearly unusable with information obviously being sold from users' accounts. Zuckerberg will be selling off pieces of his Hawaiian estate by the time summer arrives here. He has just invested heavily in his newer and shinier enterprise, Meta. These remarks are not anti-semitic, Whoopi.

Fakebook is increasingly worthless. I only ever see just a few percentage of my "Friends" pictures of food, lost dogs, & cute grandbabies. I long ago started using Facebook Purity app, which helpfully eliminates all of Suckerberg's propaganda "news", games, etc. Then he stared sticking ads in the feed. He's not getting a dime from me.

Businesses should focus on providing the best possible goods and services. The corporate practice of going woke and alienating many of your customers is senseless and self-destructive. Facebook is finally experiencing some policy repercussions. Now is the time for a competitive service to expand and dump it into the ashbin where it belongs.

My wife has facebook on our computer, because of her groups of friends. They claim it's the easiest way to plan outings and girl trips. To me, it looks like a bunch of narcissists saying look at me and their friends replying how beautiful they or their kids are. I don't understand why normally sane people think their friends want to know where they are dining and see pictures of the meal. It's also one of the few places you can post a picture of your homely child and have everyone tell you how beautiful they are. When my younger sister, who has passed away now, tried to get me to join, so we could communicate, I explained that we had phones and email for that. That's how my oldest sister, who also never joined FB, and I, still communicate.

Censureship by the irresponsible media doesn't work out well. The drop in numbers of msm TV 'news,' viewers proves that. Zuck has ignored the lesson to be learned from that because he has continually rapped the knuckles of his own customers too many times with his overzealous subjective leftist, 'fact checkers.' The original freedom of speech concept was merited but then Zuck perverted that 1st. Ammendment Right.

FaceBook is losing users because they have violated their unwritten contract with users to freely and fairly share information. When users posts are blocked or labeled suspect by nannies for apparently political reasons, they are enraging half their audience. When what has been labeled misinformation is continually revealed as the true information elsewhere, FB is revealed as a nasty and utterly stupid bully. It surprises me they haven’t lost tens of millions of users. When a viable alternative reaches a certain critical mass of users, Facebook will go the way of MySpace. And good riddance.

Rescuers inched closer Friday to reaching a five-year-old boy trapped for three days in a well in Morocco, in an operation hampered by concerns about ground stability that has captivated the North African country. The boy, identified as Rayan, fell into a 32-metre (105-feet) shaft, located outside his home in the village of Ighran in the northern province of Chefchaouen, on Tuesday evening. Search crews first used five bulldozers to dig vertically to a depth of more than 31 metres, according to Morocco's official MAP news agency.

The board then waived the procedure stating the status of the material as indefinitely approved, unable to be challenged after two years per the stated policy. Parents needed to be punished for raising concerns!Towards the end of the meeting, board member Sarah Smylie implied that parental concern is a “distraction” from real work. To imply that parents are only doing this for the sake of “distraction” is incorrect.

The new mutant—called the VB variant—has infected at least 109 people, according to a study by Oxford University. The strain damages the immune system and weakens a person's ability to fight everyday infections and disease faster than previous versions of the virus. It means those who catch this strain could develop AIDS more quickly. The VB variant also has a viral load between 3.5 and 5.5 times higher than the current strain, meaning infected people are more likely to transmit the virus

Administrators at Georgetown Law are considering implementing a “cry room” on campus, so that offended students have a place to go to if they “need to break down” over comments made by law scholar Ilya Shapiro, who has been placed on administrative leave by the university this week after daring to question Joe Biden’s “affirmative action” Supreme Court nomination process. The call for a cry room comes after students took offense to constitutional law scholar Ilya Shapiro’s tweets criticizing President Joe Biden’s “affirmative action” Supreme Court nomination process.
