President Joe Biden will launch a slate of new actions Thursday aimed at combating rising crime and gun violence in major metropolitan areas across the country. Biden will announce the new programs during a visit to New York City on Thursday with Mayor Eric Adams and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul."The President is committed to serving as a strong partner for communities on the frontlines of the fight against crime. That’s why his American Rescue Plan gives cities and states historic levels of funding that they can use to put more cops on the beat, and invest in community-based violence prevention and intervention programs," the White House said in a statement.

Fool me once, Joe. You think people want to see more good money given to blue states to waste while the DAs just do what they want, flaunting laws? You want to do something? (I know you don't) You arrest those DAs for not upholding the laws on the books. Everyone knows this "for show" crap is worthless.

Typical Democrat. First they create a problem that didn't exist so they can then look like heroes by coming up with a solution that was already in place until they cancelled it, like by defunding the police, as an example. Of course the solution is always at twice the price with lots of pork.

Other inanimate objects that menace society with their violence: vehicles, aircraft, ladders, wet floors, and thousands of others. There is no “gun crime.” People commit crimes using any of an uncounted assortment of methods. Shall we register or ban computers? They cost more people in terms of crime than any other single source. This isn’t a thing problem. It never has been. This is a people problem. Until you solve the issues that plague society (see the Bible for stories of the exact same behaviors), then crime will continue. It’s a soul and spirit thing, not a thing, thing.

Effective gun control is not that complicated -it just takes political courage which will never be shown. First -no bail or very high bail for any crime where a gun is involved. Second mandatory 20 years in prison for conviction of any crime where a gun was involved. Third mandatory life imprisonment for any crime where a person was injured or killed by use of a gun. Very shortly after enaction gun crimes would drop rapidly.

Simply throwing a lot more federal money into the Democrat run cities will not stop so-called “gun violence” that really under the criminal law amounts to just plain old aggravated assaults and murders perpetrated by irresponsible violent criminals who consider those crimes to be an everyday reality in their “community’s” homicidal culture. Since the Democrats politicized street crime, fraudulently blaming the police, those criminals now believe that they are entitled to be cut loose by ultra liberal Democrat prosecutors to strike again targeting police officers and anyone else they decide to assault and murder. Notice that the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats always cast blame on a gun and not on the perpetrator as it is much more likely than not that the perpetrator is a member of a “community” that the Democrats consider as being necessary for them to seek support from to keep them, the Democrats in political power.

Lots of Federal spend, spend, spend that sounds like something but is really spinning wheels around doing nothing to actually solve the problem of CRIMINALS COMMITTING CRIMES AND GOING UNPUNISHED! Why doesn't Biden direct the Liberal DA's to FOLLOW THE LAWS and prosecute criminals once they are arrested. Why doesn't Biden encourage State Legislatures to review failed bail reform laws which release criminals to reek havoc on the streets of the USA without fear of prosecution. Why doesn't Biden JAIL then DEPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS who commit crimes (any crime!). Criminals rule the streets and they know it. Law enforcement has been rendered impotent by flaccid DAs whose limp enforcement of laws criminals to live like kings. Biden and other liberals have allowed this with their permissive policies.

These crime-ridden Democ'RAT-run cities, where decent American Culture has been displaced by Urban Thug Culture, have demonstrated, over and over, that they don't need more GUN Control. What they need is THUG Control. The old saying rings true: "When Guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have Guns." But, just like Obama's 'Fast & Furious' gun-running operation, controlling crime is not their objective. Their objective is Disarming the Law-Abiding Citizens. It's a crucial step on the way to Tyranny. Ask the Citizens of Australia.

The rush to blame every instance of hate on the right is hardly a new phenomenon. Things are so absurd that we’ve even seen the rise in black-on-Asian hate crimes attributed to Donald Trump saying “China virus.” You know, because minority groups in New York City and San Francisco are renowned for taking their political cues from Trump. Still, despite more noose hoaxes than one can count, the left can always be counted on to jump to conclusions, and those conclusions usually involve pointing the finger at MAGA. That happened again recently after commuters noticed a series of hand-drawn swastikas on the outside of Union Station in Washington, DC.

If you’re a Democrat, things are going very, very badly for you. And it’s not going to get better. According to a recent McLaughlin and Associates study, 65 percent of likely voters believe that the United States is on the wrong track. That’s hardly surprising considering the multitude of poor decisions the fascists in charge have made since taking power. The McLaughlin study also showed that Joe Biden’s approval rating has crumbled to 41 percent, which is high compared to Quinippiac’s 33 percent. NBC poll numbers were so bad that noted corporate propagandist and regime cheerleader, Chuck Todd, who masquerades as a journalist for that network

The National Governors Association (NGA) held its winter meeting in Washington, D.C. on January 28 – 31. It was the first time in two years the group of the country’s governors met in Washington because of the pandemic. The bipartisan group found two areas in which to agree – it is time to move ahead with living with COVID-19, and Joe Biden receives failing grades for his performance in office. Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican, is chair of the group. He told the White House that governors want the CDC to provide clear guidance on ways for states to transition from pandemic to endemic status.

There’s been a rather weird dance going on among Democratic elected officials around the country this winter in terms of how to frame their message in terms of COVID mandates. It seems to have slowly dawned on them that people are fed up with both the pandemic and the restrictions that have been imposed on them, with significant majorities of people just wanting life to “get back to normal.” But at the same time, many officials are frightened out of their wits that they will be blamed if they “don’t do enough” and even a single additional person dies from COVID.

These days, the Biden White House talks a lot about the border. At press briefings, there are many questions about the border. But it's the Russia-Ukraine border. Meanwhile, the situation on the U.S.-Mexico border is deteriorating daily. Two new developments. One, we are learning more about the administration's covert effort to relocate thousands of illegal border-crossers — single, adult males, not families — into the nation's interior. We'll talk about that today. And tomorrow, the second development — new information about the changing makeup of the thousands of people crossing the border illegally each month. A growing number of public health experts have recommended that the Biden administration update its COVID-19 strategy. It is increasingly obvious that an approach based on the President’s pledge to “shut down the virus” will fail. The emerging consensus among epidemiologists is that elimination of the virus is unlikely and that it will probably evolve into an endemic malady, like influenza, that circulates in the population at a relatively manageable level. This consensus has been largely ignored by the Biden administration because updating its approach to COVID-19 would mean relinquishing the political power associated with the perpetual “public health emergency,” and replacing several incompetent public health advisors.

During the course of the madness that promoted “defunding” or abolishing the police, there was an emphasis placed on replacing police in some circumstances with “community safety” workers who would supposedly act as unarmed “violence interrupters” and reduce the number of lethal use of force incidents by police officers. In Baltimore, Maryland’s violent gang territories, an existing organization known as the “Safe Streets Program” gained a lot of attention and municipal support in this effort. The goal of the program is to deploy former gang members (or “former”) into areas controlled by the gangs to negotiate nonviolent resolutions to conflicts.

It means those who catch this strain could develop AIDS more quickly. The VB variant also has a viral load between 3.5 and 5.5 times higher than the current strain, meaning infected people are more likely to transmit the virus
