Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to hold talks with Germany, France and Ukraine as NATO fails to take action on the rising conflict in Easter Europe and President Joe Biden's announcement on Friday that he would deploy troops 'in the near term' without backing from NATO. The blow to NATO and exclusion of America in negotiation talks on the Russian-Ukraine crisis came after Putin accused the U.S. and NATO of ignoring the Kremlin's 'fundamental concerns' over NATO's growth during a call with French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday.(Snip)Although the scheduled talks between the European nations raises hopes for peace, it undermines America's involvement by excluding the U.S.

This is a European problem and should be resolved by Europeans. So.....I don't have an issue with the US not being involved.
The problem, however, is that Biden decided that he would be calling the shots and put himself in a position to be humiliated. His and the deep state's incompetence has led to this.

Not surprised. Biden is nothing but a senile crooked fool who was playing politics with the Ukraine and risking thousands of lives in the process. Wait and see if Ukraine makes concessions to keep their sovereignty and whether or not Putin honors them. Guessing Ukraine stays out of NATO, and Russia has military bases in the Ukraine (again).
The USA gets humiliated again. Thats what happens when the Democrats (and fools like Biden) are in charge. They think weakness is strength while the rest of the world views weakness for what it is, weakness.

It sure is a European problem, but Europe has done nothing for 70 years to prepare for such a problem by relying on the U.S. for all of its protection. Germany is so prepared, they send helmets to the Ukraine, while waiting for Russian natural gas to heat their homes.

Donald Trump would have put together a coalition by now. Whoever is advising Biden, has made sure we don’t look strong or tough, just stupid. Trump had a working administration. This group is all about photo ops, symbolism, ideology, puppies and kittens. If Obama’s goal is to diminish our strength in the world, he and Klain and Jarrett and Rice have accomplished their goal through the cognitively challenged angry old fool they installed as president.

The US is well out of this tangled web, especially since Old Clusterfutz is in nominal command. Bob Gates had his number when Gates warned of his record of error.

Biden needs to go back into the basement. Based upon their comments here, Austin and Milley should be locked up with him. The average Marine NCO knows more about this sort of thing than they do.

Everyone , except Biden, knew that the Europeans would fold like jello on a warm day. Now Biden wants to go it alone? What happened to rebuilding friendships and strengthening alliances? Putin has played us like a fine tuned piano.

Joe doesn't care about our young men getting killed. He can't let the Russians find the financial files about his and his son's illegal dealings there in Ukraine. Putin will broadcast them all over the world and someone will have a lot of "splaining to do.

Russia's goal is to destroy NATO, and NATO has basically destroyed itself already. Germany agreeing to let Russia control it's energy supply....THAT is capitulation, agreeing to become a vassal of Russia. It's just that simple. Germany has agreed to do nothing that Russia doesn't agree to. Second class country status.

Way to go, Europe. I think your problem is that all of the decision-makers were killed off during WWII, and the gene pool now lacks decision-making capability completely. So, we have a continent full of pacificists who can't talk and chew gum at the same time.

Now that there is no NATO, maybe the next president, a REAL president, duly elected, might be able to extract US from the internationally perfidious UN, and send them packing to Brussels. That ,of course, is if our nation still exists by 2024.

The U.S. should have left NATO years ago. Europe is hopeless.None of those countries have any true military power. Spend all their money trying to support their welfare nanny states.

NATO was founded in 1949. One has to wonder if it has outlived its usefulness. The world has changed since post World War II. Perhaps NATO needs to make some changes.

Russia, even after the breakup of the old U.S.S.R. has never given up it's doctrine of "Infiltrate, Indoctrinate and Subjugate". It's why American Academia is so lousy. European Elites helped to create this monster, and their children have been very susceptible to this leverage. NATO was a thing only when the USSR was a threat. Once it seemed reduced to the status of other nations, Europe grew complacent..

Questionable move, Vlad. Biden, Rice, Blinken, Austin, et. al, would have given away the family jewels. They can be counted on to sell out our allies. And us.

The reason there is discord in the European NATO countries is because Biden failed to coordinate with them. Just like he did not coordinate with them before the overnight U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
