Biden's Supreme Court pledge is not Reagan's

With the retirement of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, President Joe Biden was immediately challenged by Democrats to make good on his pledge during the 2020 presidential campaign to only consider black females for his first vacancy on the Court. When he made that pledge, some of us raised concerns that he was adopting a threshold racial and gender qualification for the Court. That claims were immediately challenged by liberal commentators and their authority was somewhat surprising: Ronald Reagan. They insisted that Ronald Reagan made the same pledge to only consider a woman for his first vacancy. The claim is false

Hey, Democrats, this is not a T ball game where everybody gets a chance to play. This position on the Supreme Court demands the BEST person, who is an expert in Constitutional law and not corrupt. No just any Black woman who went to law school and may or may not still have her law license, just to fulfill some idiotic campaign promise.

The only requirement the Dems have for a SC justice is that he/she votes in lockstep with the liberals. Legal expertise is not required. I wonder how the Asian/Native American community will react to Biden's statements that his VP will be black, and his first SC pick will be black.

Months after Stephen Hayes quit Fox News over Tucker Carlson’s conspiratorial rhetoric about the Jan. 6 riots, the conservative author and pundit has landed at NBC News. “I’ve known and worked with Steve Hayes on and off for nearly 25 years,” Meet the Press anchor Chuck Todd said in a Friday morning statement announcing Hayes’ new role as a network contributor. “He is a principled reporter and analyst who always puts truth and facts above emotion and sentiment.” Hayes was a Fox News contributor for 12 years and was once a writer for the now-defunct Weekly Standard before co-founding The Dispatch, a center-right website offering an anti-Trump alternative for conservative audiences.

A Pennsylvania state court on Friday struck down the law allowing any voter to cast a ballot by mail, handing a victory to Republican lawmakers who sought to curtail the practice amid former President Donald Trump’s attacks on mail voting. A panel of judges from Pennsylvania’s commonwealth court ruled that Act 77 — which passed out of the state legislature with bipartisan support and was signed by Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf in 2019 — violated the state constitution. The state is expected to appeal the ruling to the state Supreme Court, which turned back other challenges to the law in 2020 and has a generally liberal bent.

"The rest of the world, at least on the progressive side in the United States, became increasingly cult-like and insular in its thinking, since March of 2020.” At that time, “lifelong critical thinkers, journalists, editors, researchers, doctors, philanthropists, teachers, psychologists—all began to repeat only talking points from MSNBC and CNN, and soon overtly refused to look at any sources—even peer-reviewed sources in medical journals—even CDC data—that contradicted those talking points.” (Emphasis in the original.) Indeed, every known deal that the Biden family enjoyed with Beijing was reached courtesy of individuals with spy ties. And Joe Biden personally benefitted from his family’s foreign deals. What are these deals? And who are the individuals who made them happen for the Bidens?

John Harris instead likes the cut of a presidential jib a bit better when the C-in-C uses “s*** talk,” such as Donald Trump did for four-plus years … excuse me, Joe Biden did last week with Peter Doocy. In Politico Magazine, Harris advises Biden to let that fly and express his “authentic voice” as an antidote to Beltway phoniness. Didn’t we just get four years of the press complaining about the very same “authenticity”?

Former Vice President Mike Pence revealed that he has not spoken to former President Trump since last summer. He suggested that Jan. 6, 2021 marked a souring in their relationship. Guns, guns, and more guns. These days the complexity of gun ownership in this country is just that, complex. To me, the Second Amendment is pretty straightforward. With Justice Stephen Breyer officially announcing his retirement on Thursday (a full 24 hours after the White House announced it for him), Senate Democrats will have a chance to fill a Supreme Court seat, likely before the 2022 midterm elections in November. But ever since 2017, when Senate Republicans invoked the nuclear option to confirm Supreme Court justices at a simple majority, instead of at the usual 60 votes necessary to break a filibuster, there has been procedurally little minorities can do to prevent a nomination from moving forward (the outright lies, smears, and chaos tactics Senate Democrats employed against Justice Brett Kavanaugh notwithstanding).

King admitted that he had sold some firearms, but stressed that they were mostly long guns that other Amish could use for hunting. He noted that he sold some to non-Amish too. He added, “I was not dealing in handguns, positively not.” The Blaze noted that King “[did not] advertise the sale of his guns online and

One of the main tenants for a stable and law-abiding society is a judicial system that enforces laws and ensures equal justice for all.The reverse is true in progressive cities, resulting in an increase in crime. Various government organizations, even all the way up to the Department of Justice, have gone astray. Social justice warriors are now in positions in the DOJ to implement “racial justice”, which determines how to prosecute cases based on the race and/or social justice cause, not commensurate with the crimes committed.A perfect example can be seen in a murder committed by a BLM arsonist.
