By all appearances, the Democrat Party is going to be delivered a beatdown of historic proportions in the 2022 midterm elections the likes of which haven’t been seen since at least the 2010 election.Or that should be the case, at least. With the prize seemingly there for the taking, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is reportedly seeking advice from “the grandfather of House Republicans,” Newt Gingrich, who engineered the 1994 Republican Revolution with the Contract with America, taking back control of the House after a 40-year drought. From 1933 until 1995, Republicans controlled both the House and Senate for only four years.

Great news! Newt hit a grand slam with his "Contract with America" and I think a repeat of that strategy--especially with the debacle of the democrats, will result in a most favorable outcome.

Newt, who appears on Fox from time to time, is still one of the wisest around...

Newt is brilliant! I once heard him speak at a fund raiser for a member of the House and he spoke for 45 minutes while walking around the room. No notes, no teleprompter and not a single “um” or “er”. Just 45 minutes of sound policy, wisdom and sanity.

If Gingrich can stop the cheating, that's the only thing we need from him.

His 2am TV "History Classes" are what brought me to conservatism...such goofy hair, but soooo smart.
A year or so later he was doing a LiveTalk in Raleigh and I went, stuck out like a sore thumb, he approached ME and introduced himself, said I looked like I felt a bit "fish out of water". I was a former socialist with a long ponytail. Introduced me to some people, who then invited me to attend different functions, each place I went resulted in more invites. He gave me a reading list, introduced me to some folks that wrote those books. Not a SINGLE person ever treated me like an outsider or an outcast. It WAS a big tent indeed.
Later he recruited me into politics, invited me to planning/training sessions leading up to the "Contract", met nearly all of the people who later ran and won, He got me my first campaign Gig.

If you are planning to try to do something YOU have never done? It makes very good sense to have someone in the Room that already has done it. Not to repeat it, but to avoid the pitfalls that will appear in the path..

Hey Kevin - - don't listen to Mr. Newt when he starts talking about moon colonies.
Anything else is OK - - but no moon colonies!

#6, I loved hearing that story. Thanks.
Rush was a big part of that 1994 Republican Revolution victory too. It was a great time.
Just wish everyone could have seen the opposition as clearly and have been as resolute as Rush.
Wish its power and effectiveness could have lasted longer too. I hope that is a lesson learned this time around.

It's not enough to destroy The Democrat Party. Whoever replaces them has a gargantuan task - reversing every policy, law and rule that Democrats have ever enacted. So far the GOP has proven itself unwilling and unable to accept that challenge.

Even if pubbies take over the house, it won't be long before they're voting for every single demand coming from the demonrats. It's their legacy.

Kevin: "We won Newt! Good job!"
Newt: "Thanks, but there is one more thing you must do."
Kevin: "What's that?"
Newt: "You can't run for Speaker."

Kevin McCarthy must NEVER be speaker. If the republicans are smart, they would vote in Trump. The democrat heads would explode.

After we take back the house, if Trump doesnt want to be speaker of the house, they should put Mr. Newt in that spot.
