So far, our msm has buried this event and has no intention of reporting it here. Except Fox News had a brief blurb about it a couple of days ago. I have family in B.C. Canada who said the CBC (the only game in town in Canada and uber-lefty) was providing wall to wall coverage earlier. The truckers and farmers are playing it smart though and have no intention to be suckered by their Canadian antifa gang to storm parliament building. My family reports that many Canadians have had their fill of this covid scam and want these stupid mandates to disappear. PM Trudie will attempt to duck the crisis this weekend from his undisclosed location. He'll lay low next week and wait out the truckers and farmers until they leave. He regards them as a small fringe group and will not acknowledge their presence.

At least 10 police officers in five states — mostly in big cities — have been attacked in the last eight days. What’s especially troubling is that several of the incidents appeared to target police officers specifically. Both criminal justice reform advocates and police unions blame the same thing: a violent crime crisis. Reformers think the violent crime spree is the result of inequality and police brutality. The cops think it’s due to lax prosecutors and spineless politicians. Whatever the reason, the number of lives lost is rising. Earlier this week the Supreme Court took up affirmative action by agreeing to hear challenges to the admissions process at two US universities. Today, NY Times‘ columnist John McWhorter has a piece arguing that it’s time to end affirmative action, though he still favors programs that give preference to students based on income. When affirmative action was put into practice around a half-century ago, with legalized segregation so recent, it was reasonable to think of being Black as a shorthand for being disadvantaged, whatever a Black person’s socioeconomic status was. In 1960, around half of Black people were poor.

oe Biden doesn’t seem to know how to deal with the situation between Russia and Ukraine. Indeed, everything he does just seems to heighten the tension and move the dial more toward war between them. He threw Ukraine under the bus early on, by waiving sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which helped Russia, increased EU dependence on Russian oil, and hurt the United States and Ukraine. Then Biden seemed to greenlight aggression with careless words, by saying U.S. troops would be off the table in December and then talking about “minor incursions” not causing a significant response in January, then having to scramble to clean that up.

The US Treasury said on Friday it is considering alternatives to facial-recognition technology to verify identities for online taxpayer accounts after some lawmakers raised privacy concerns. The $86 million partnership between the Internal Revenue Service and private contractor ID.me, which was announced in November, would be one of the biggest expansions of facial recognition software made by the US government. The measure has been met with criticism from lawmakers, who argue that the software is intrusive and inaccurate. Representative Ted Lieu, a California Democrat, called the move a 'very, very bad idea, ' adding that facial recognition is less accurate with dark skin tones.

Several sources told CNN that Harris drove just a short distance away from the explosive, which was lying next to a bench outside the DNC on Jan. 6, 2021. Her motorcade pulled into the headquarters garage about 11:30 a.m. and stopped at the parking deck near where the bomb was later discovered, according to the network. School sure has changed, and the recent report of a college assignment provides a perfect case in point. At the University of New Hampshire, they’re trying to make the world a better place. That’s the reason, presumably, for an alleged assignment last summer in an “Introduction to Language and Social Interaction” course. Campus Reform has purportedly obtained screenshots of a professor’s order for students to find someone and accuse them of a racist act. There are a few other offenses from which to choose: Ableist Language Homophobic Language Microaggressions Racist Language The victim of such sinisterness must be “a person of color,” “LGBTQI+,” or “a disabled person.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki mocked media outlets who focused on the consequences of 'soft-on-crime' policies during a surge in violence across the country and said some coverage is from an 'alternate universe'. Psaki was speaking about a Fox News segment during an appearance on the Pod Save America podcast last week when she questioned what 'soft-on-crime consequence' even means and insisted Americans care 'more about what’s happening in their lives than what’s necessarily happening in every cable news chyron'.

A same-sex penguin couple has become foster parents to a newborn hatchling in a first for an upstate New York zoo. Humboldt penguins Elmer and Lima first got together this past mating season, and built a nest together in the fall, which they have both defended from incoming predators. Their devotion to each other led officials at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo to test how the two would be as parents, using a dummy egg, before letting them take care of a fertilized egg of their own.(Snip)Some prospective penguin parents either keep the egg next to them, rather than sit on it to keep it warm, or fight
