A fun leftover from yesterday and our latest entry in the Someone Left The Irony On Department. With brinksmanship escalating between the US, the European Union, and Ukraine, CNN’s John Berman asks a solid question: why should Americans care about the fate of this country on the eastern edge of Europe? Jonathan Finer, deputy national security adviser to Joe Biden, says we should be all about enforcing border security and recognizing national sovereignty. Er .. who wants to tell him?

THIS should be Article 1 in the impeachment trial of Joe Biden. The complete dereliction of duty to protect the borders of the United States at the same time they assert and confirm that such border defense of another country warrants the use of the U.S. military.

Interesting, because obviously Biden and the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats, as they go about transforming the future ethnic and racial population demographics of the USA to what they believe will keep them in permanent political power do not believe that the USA should have borders.

Of course they have to make a fuss about Ukraine, especially since the Bidens, Pelosi's and Schiffty have taken so much money out of there in various types of payouts and backhanders. Now I am wondering if Ukraine will have the last laugh and expose all the American politicians they have been dealing with over the past decade or so.

“Well, at least it can’t get any worse than this,” Joe Biden is thinking as he scans this Monmouth poll. Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Vladimir Putin picks up the phone and gives the “go” order to his generals outside Ukraine… Coupla real gut punches for Democrats in this new data from Monmouth. Biden has reached the lowest job approval of his presidency in their polling to date, crossing the political Mendoza line by falling from 40 percent last month to 39 now. Republicans also lead 51/43 on the generic ballot, an all but unheard of advantage for the GOP at this stage

The Biden administration decided to send all Americans free COVID-19 tests to address the omicron surge. So far, the ordered tests are getting delivered unless you live in an apartment. As our editor Paula Boylard noted, those living in colder parts of the country may also have their tests left out in the cold. The COVID tests are not supposed to be stored in temperatures under 36° F. Fox’s Bill Hemmer received the four tests he ordered and noted another odd feature. According to Fox News: Hemmer, co-host of “America’s Newsroom,” praised the federal government and the United States Postal Service (USPS)

The Pew survey, published Tuesday, found Biden's approval rating was down from 44 percent in September and significantly lower than the 59 percent approval rating he had in April. "Biden’s job approval numbers have declined across most demographic groups since September," the survey found. The Pew survey found Biden's approval had dropped by 7 percentage points

The coming midterm elections are not looking good for Democrats. In fact, short of some kind of divine intervention, Joe Biden’s party is going to get absolutely boat-raced. It could stack up to be a wave election that makes 2010 look like child’s play, and I don’t say that lightly. In the midst of that hostile environment, numerous Democrat incumbents have announced their retirements, which is usually a sure-fire sign of coming doom. You may recall all the articles from 2018 noting how Republican retirements were a very bad sign. Indeed, they did precede a blue wave, and the reverse is now occurring in 2022. Just how bad are things?

New York’s indoor mask mandate for schools and other public locations will remain in effect after an appeals court judge granted a stay on Tuesday, temporarily blocking a ruling from a lower court that struck down the mandate one day earlier. Justice Robert Miller’s ruling on Tuesday effectively allows the mask requirement to temporarily go back into effect while the state files a formal appeal of the Monday ruling. Another hearing is scheduled on the mask mandate for Friday morning. “As Governor, my top priority is protecting the people of this state. Following the fatal shooting of a police officer in Manhattan last week, Mayor Eric Adams on Monday unveiled his new strategy to combat rising gun violence in New York City, starting with the deployment of an anti-gun crime unit next month. “We will not surrender our city to the violent few,” Adams said. The city will launch a reinvented version of the plainclothes anti-crime unit, which was disbanded amid the civil unrest prompted by the murder of George Floyd, to emphasize fostering community trust in law enforcement rather than the aggressive crime-fighting tactics that had provoked protest from Black Lives Matter.

Washington—Republicans’ faith in science is falling as Democrats rely on it even more, with a trust gap in science and medicine widening substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic, new survey data shows. It’s the largest gap in nearly five decades of polling by the General Social Survey, a widely respected trend survey conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago that has been measuring confidence in institutions since 1972. That is unsurprising to more than a dozen scientists reached for comment by The Associated Press, but it concerns many of them. Science used to be something all Americans would get behind, Rice University historian Douglas Brinkley said.

Surveillance video shared on social media of a shooting inside a Spring Garden pizza shop last month appears to contradict portions of the initial account shared by police, including the assertion that the shooting victim was shot after he tried to strangle the mother of the teenager who ended up firing on him. The 28-second video instead shows the would-be robber forcefully reaching for the register — not the cashier — in an apparent attempt to steal money.
