America isn’t just seeing less of Mike Pompeo because the Trump administration is no longer in the White House. We are seeing less of the former secretary of state because there is literally less of him — 90 pounds, to be exact. The former director of the CIA has faced a lot of challenging situations in his long career, but he hesitates to talk about his weight loss because of a nagging fear he will put all the pounds he lost back on. But, in an exclusive interview with The Post, he revealed how he did it and why.It all started on June 14, 2021, when Pompeo stepped on the scale

I've liked Pompeo since the day he stepped into the limelight. He was an outstanding Sec of State, but I wish he could have stayed at CIA--maybe he could have cleaned out that rat's nest. Now, with this incredible weight loss, he has inspired me. BTW, when someone loses that much weight, they have excess skin drooping everywhere. Does it eventually tighten up? I know some who have had it surgically removed.

#4 That's where the exercise regime comes in. By sticking with working out, even moderately, that excess skin will tighten up. Just like muscle tone will rid seniors of that "wrinkled" skin look.

Really remarkable. The guy is both brilliant and principled. Keeps a low profile. Exactly the kind of person this country could use in a major leadership position. And yes, someone I would seriously consider for President (though my current preference is DeSantis). As for the dieting/exercise, here's my routine and prescription for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and overall physical fitness, especially as you age. Moderate exercise (45-ish minutes) every OTHER day. As you age, your body needs recovery time and seems to be more efficient this way too. Mix in brisk cardio (fast walking, biking/elliptical) with some weightlifting. This keeps it from becoming a daily drudge. As for eating, forget the goofy diets and eat pretty much everything you like but just a lot less of it. I have stopped using dinner plates and gone with smaller serving plates (no silly measuring needed - if it fits on the smaller plate, I'll eat it). And vitamin supplements for immune health (C, D3, Zinc). Regular activity. Balance. Moderation in things you like doing and foods you like eating. Simple.

Many people right now are using a GLP-1 right now for weight loss and having a lot of weight loss success. It’s a diabetes medication that decreases appetite because it slows down digestion. For diabetics it’s sold as Saxenda and for weight loss Wegovy or Rybelsis. The main side effect initially is nausea. If you have any blood sugar issues it’s easier to get Saxenda covered under insurance. I don’t know that Mike Pompeo used this but I wouldn’t be surprised.

#13 nails it. With the millions of dollars wasted by people on all of the formal diet programs that keep popping up, it all comes down to personal will power, an agreement between your mind and your body. It's also far easier not to put the weight on in the first place, make exercise and healthy eating a lifestyle, not a chore.

The First Amendment is the heart and soul of our constitutional rights as Americans—and it belongs to everyone, regardless of background or opinion. Unfortunately, a concept so basic as the right to speak your mind is now under siege. Big Tech monopolies like Twitter and Facebook have become arbiters of what they feel is permitted speech, taking your right to self-expression into their own hands—and promptly crushing it. Big Tech companies have worked hard over the past several years to enlarge their power and influence over how we live our lives, and we have finally reached a breaking point. They have carefully cultivated a monopoly on online speech, establishing

Hospitalizations of U.S. children under 5 with COVID-19 soared in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, according to government data released Friday on the only age group not yet eligible for the vaccine. The worrisome trend in children too young to be vaccinated underscores the need for older kids and adults to get their shots to help protect those around them, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since mid-December, with the highly contagious omicron variant spreading furiously around the country, the hospitalization rate in these youngest kids has surged to more than 4 in 100,000 children, up from 2.5 per 100,000.

The liberal wing of the Supreme Court embarrassed itself Friday with a slew of false claims about COVID-19 during oral arguments over Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates. For example, Justice Stephen Breyer claimed hospitals are at capacity because of unvaccinated Americans with COVID. This is false. But perhaps the most ridiculous false claim from a Supreme Court justice came from Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who falsely claimed that 100,000 children are in “serious condition” from COVID. “We have hospitals that are almost at full capacity with people severely ill on ventilators. We have over 100,000 children, which we’ve never had before, in serious condition, and many on ventilators,” Sotomayor claimed.
