House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy laid out for Breitbart News in an exclusive long-form video interview the core of the GOP message and strategy heading into the 2022 midterm elections, which will determine which party controls Congress ahead of the 2024 presidential election.McCarthy’s “Commitment to America,” which he previewed in the latest On The Hill video special taped in December at an Eastern Market establishment on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, is what he framed up as the contrast with Democrat policies that have harmed America over the past year since President Joe Biden and his Democrats took complete control in Washington last January.

New Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has expressed surprise at the push-back from law enforcement and other city officials regarding his January 3 memo outlining the new guidelines he is instituting in the DA’s office in his borough, saying, “This is going to make us safer. It’s intuitive. It’s common sense.”Former federal prosecutor Trey Gowdy begs to differ, however, calling his proposed policies “dangerously stupid” during his broadcast of “Sunday Night in America” on Fox News Channel. In a speech given, predictably, at Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network headquarters on Saturday, Bragg said that no one should be surprised by his actions:

“Indeed, men too often take upon themselves in the prosecution of their revenge to set the example of doing away with those general laws to which alike can look for salvation in adversity, instead of allowing them to subsist against the day of danger when their aid may be required.”
—Thucydides, on the stasis at Corcyra. If the Republicans take the House or perhaps even the Senate, what new norms will they inherit from the Democratic majority of 2019-2021? Will Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on national television ritually tear up the text of Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address and grimace while he speaks?

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy appeared confident in his party's chances of taking back the majority in Congress during a TV interview on Sunday, as the midterm elections loom less than a year away. 'There's only a five-seat majority for the Democrats, the lowest it's been in a hundred years,' McCarthy told Fox host Maria Bartiromo. 'That number 25 is a very big number for Democrat retirements. In 2010 when we won the majority, 17 Democrats retired. Already 25 -- I expect that number to be up to over 30 Democrat retirements, because they see what the future holds, and they see the numbers.'

Due to their blatant anti-worker policies, Democrats are very, very bad at creating jobs. After all, the party’s entire modus operandi is to make people dependent on the government. If a person has a job and can take care of themselves, those aren’t the type of Americans the Democrat Party cares for. Here is the December jobs report, via Fox News: The Labor Department said in its monthly payroll report released Friday that payrolls in December rose by 199,000, sharply missing the 400,000 jobs forecast by Refinitiv economists. The unemployment rate, which is calculated based on a separate survey, dropped to 3.9% from 4.2%

Former President Donald Trump complained that the media doesn't report how "massive" the crowd was for his speech on January 6 before his supporters stormed the Capitol.
"The crowd itself was the biggest crowd I've ever – and I've spoken before the biggest crowds – the biggest crowd I've ever spoken by far, by numerous times I think," Trump said in an interview with right-wing network One America News that aired on Wednesday."Nobody ever shows the pictures of that.""The real number I won't say because it'll be a headline 'oh he exaggerated the number.' The real number was over that sacred number– you know what that number was right?" Trump said.
