Will The Supreme Court Side With Individual Liberty?

Original Article

I hate asking the question, but nothing is guaranteed anymore. The fact that there are more Republican-appointed justices than not bodes well for inherent rights and freedom in 2022’s big cases, in particular the anon vaccine cases, but with Roberts the Squish and three neophyte Trump appointees coming into their own, anything is possible. As an interesting aside, the three surviving retired justices (O’Connor, Kennedy, and Souter) all joined the ranks courtesy of Republican presidents and subsequently tilted leftward. Has any justice ever moved right? When it’s all said and done, the idea of an absolutely safe constitutional court is on par with the idea of an absolutely safe vaccine.CORRECTION*

Comments:

SCOTUS and the courts are the only ones standing between us and complete tyranny.

No they aren't poster. We the People and our GUNS are the final ine of defense. SCOTUS better remember that. The political class seems to have forgotten. This could be a lethal error in judgement.

Sadly, I'm not sure we can trust SCOTUS. They have failed us before, spectacularly with regard to the election! We wouldn't be living through this hell if they ruled constitutionally!

The Supreme Joke of the United States, under the malignant leadership of the most political Chief Just-Us ever, John Roberts, can be counted on to expand goobernment dictatorship over citizens' lives while ignoring the rights that are clearly spelled out in the Constitution. We need a Convention of States to reign in the unlimited powers goobernment and in particular the Judicial branch.

No, not one of them interpret the constitution as their job demands. They're all partisan hacks. They need term limits as much as congress does.

SCOTUS doesn't stand with "liberty", rather how it interprets law under our Constitution. As the fictional bartender, Mr Dooley observed “The Soopreme Court follows the illiction returns.” "Moderate liberalism" is where the threats and political pressure really come from. Not the radicals. And Conservatives conserve; they don't advance. Don't expect much but edge-tinkering and great hoo-rah from both sides, mainly to raise campaign funds.

The Republican appointees to the SC have been totally disappointing, and that includes appointees prior to Trump. Kennedy went running out of the SC, after voting for economic nexus so every small business now has to collect use taxes for any state they sell to a customer of that state. John Roberts has given us Obamacare and lectures about how we should eat and like it. Kavanaugh and Barrett are liberals, recommended by the uniparty. I hope Trump throws his prior list of SC candidates away, and starts vetting them by asking them questions, and not appointing anyone that refuses to answer.

A federal judge in Texas granted 35 Navy service members’ court motion challenging the Pentagon’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate with religious exemptions Monday. Mike Berry, who is representing the Navy SEALs on behalf of First Liberty Institute, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the ruling is a win for religious freedom. “We are very grateful for this ruling in favor of our clients,” Berry said. “No longer can the Navy force service members to choose between their faith and serving their country.” He added: “If religious freedom means anything, it must mean that those who are sworn to protect our freedoms should not be forced to lose those very same freedoms.”

With the Senate tied 50-50, just a few key races will decide which party controls Congress’ upper chamber for the last two years of President Joe Biden’s first term. In addition to key pieces of legislation, executive and judicial nominees will depend on whether Democrats can maintain control, or Republicans take over. Here are five of the most important Senate races to watch during the midterms: Pennsylvania Republican Pat Toomey is retiring after two terms, and his seat is one of just two up for election where the current holder is of a different party than the candidate who won the state in 2020.

As the Biden administration continues to fumble its response to the latest wave of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, threats of additional restrictions are looming. Last night, President Joe Biden told reporters he would implement a vaccine requirement for domestic flights if his medical team recommended it. Earlier this week, Dr. Anthony Fauci did just that. The main problem, in addition to unconstitutional decrees issued by public health officials, is Americans have lost faith in the medical establishment to be honest and follow the science when issuing recommendations.

Discussion surrounding Merck’s newly-authorized COVID-19 pill, molnupiravir, has mostly concerned the risk it might pose to pregnant women. But some experts worry it could also lead to the outbreak of a new variant of the virus it’s designed to treat. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted emergency use authorization to two antiviral pills to treat COVID-19 this week, one from Pfizer (paxlovid) and another from Merck (molnupiravir). The Pfizer EUA was generally lacking in controversy, but the authorization of molnupiravir was far more contentious.

Seriously ill patients facing death from late stage COVID infection increasingly face hospital protocols that have a terrible record of saving lives. In fact, nearly all such patients die. This explains why over 1,200 Americans are dying every day from COVID. In a week, more people die from late stage COVID than died in the 9/11 attacks. Yet this is not major news on mainstream media outlets. Getting used to COVID deaths has produced complacency rather than rage. As we approach 800,000 COVID related deaths in the US it is important to note that many and probably most of these occur in a hospital.

On average, fewer than 3 in 10 adults under the age of 30 approve of Biden's job performance as president, and a majority disapproves, according to online polling conducted by the Economist and YouGov. Biden's net negative 21 approval rating with the demographic is his worst among any age group, the organizations found. On top of that, Biden has a net negative 17 rating among people aged between 30 and 44.

Statewide, homicides, property crime, violent crime and larcenies have all risen since before the pandemic. With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old. That is one year older than Ronald Reagan’s age when he left office in 1988.Looking at the 2024 contest from the other side of the race, there is no reason to expect that Joe Biden
