Hotez: ‘We Should Anticipate Widespread
Social Disruptions over the Next Few Weeks’

Center for Vaccine Development director Dr. Peter Hotez said Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” that because the Omicron variant is so transmissible, “we should anticipate widespread social disruptions over the next few weeks.” Hotez said, “This Omicron variant is so transmissible, it’s like nothing we’ve seen before among COVID variants. Almost as transmissible as measles which is probably the most common highly transmissible infectious agent that we know. So the message is if you don’t want to get COVID, keep your gatherings really small. Surround yourself with vaccinated people. This is not the year for big New Year’s parties.

Said a century ago, more true today than ever. "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." H. L. Mencken

Sorry, but I refuse to be scared. I know a couple of people who have had the omicron and it's been like a bad cold. Our hospital has about 50 people in it with the omicron and they are all either elderly or have pre-existing conditions. In the words of that great song by The Who. "We Won't Get Fooled Again". At least I won't.

Meanwhile, the super spreader vaxed people appear to be the ones spreading whatever they're calling covid these days. Have you seen many stories about unvaxed people getting people sick? The majority of the stories are of vaxed people testing positive after they've attended some event where everyone was supposedly vaxed.

Surround yourself with vaccinated people. Yeah. Has this idiot looked at the map of the states with the most vaccinated populations and compared it to the map of the states with the most cases? They’re one and the same. Personal experience - most of my extended family is in the DC area and they all have covid. The only one who has anything worse than a cold is the guy who is double jabbed and boostered and he’s sick as a dog. Meanwhile, I’m still part of the control group, still living an entirely open life free of masks, social distancing and mandates and I still haven’t had any of the viruses. Knock on wood.

Fear porn, is really getting old. And like poster #13, I'm still part of the control group. I recently asked a fully vaxed and boosted hospital staff member at cardiac rehab to please try to maintain some distance between us, as I consider vaxed persons to be spreaders. She was very agreeable. It's my friends that are vaxed that I'm afraid of, a complete 180 from last summer when our vaxed friends were fearfully avoiding the wife and I because we refused the jab. While we still associate with our vaxed friends, we maintain some slight distancing, sanitize our hands frequently and try to refrain from hugging, like the way we were treated when the fully vaxed lemmings were buying into the fear porn propaganda. It seems that the vaxed friends are coming to their senses regarding the value of their jabs, but if they've been jabbed, it's too late, they're walking, ticking time bombs. We've both had the headache, cold like symptoms, we treated it like the common cold and we've had our yearly flu shots so we assume we've acquired natural immunity. Since we're both retired, they can't fire us for refusing the jab, and even though we're in Louisiana, we have enough freedom to shop and dine out maskless and un- vaxed.

Has anyone here read the late Michael Crichton's book State of Fear? He waited to release this book until his career didn't depend on it because this book is a thinly veiled commentary on the media, Hollywood and deep state. It is all wrapped up in an interesting story, and well worth the read. I bring this up, simply because the current Swamp and Media are not going to stop this panic and fearmongering until they are forced to do so by US.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has reportedly resumed negotiations with the White House on President Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda after essentially torpedoing it before the Christmas break. According to Axios, sources confirmed that the senator has reportedly engaged with the White House “on the climate and child care provisions” in the president’s signature piece of legislation “if the White House removes the enhanced child tax credit from the $1.75 trillion package — or dramatically lowers the income caps for eligible families.” Sen. Manchin has not publicly confirmed whether or not he has resumed negotiations with the president.

Perhaps nothing has done more to expose the authoritarian tendencies of many “democratic” leaders throughout the world than COVID-19. Australia has perhaps been the most visible example, with numerous viral videos showing police viciously beating people for transgressions as small as not wearing a mask in public. Then there are the COVID concentration camps where people are forced into multi-week confinement — even if they aren’t positive for the virus. The scenes out of Europe are hardly better. Today, a video emerged that is so brutal that you’d think it was filmed in mid-’30s Germany. It comes from Amsterdam, and involves police assaulting people and attacking them with dogs.

Let’s face it, everything Joe Biden and the Democrats do is about holding onto their power. So, they’re looking at polling when it comes to the midterms and they know they’re in deep, deep trouble. All the polls indicate they are going to lose the House and the large number of Democratic retirements in the House are likely to add to that wave. So, they have to be desperate for how to improve their polling and their chances. A new Zogby poll is going to make their chances look even worse. It shows that likely voters have turned overwhelmingly against government mandates: 53 percent prefer personal choice

A hopeful note on which to end another lousy year. Maybe — maybe? — we’re emerging from the tunnel at long last. South Africa appears to have passed the peak of its omicron variant-driven fourth coronavirus wave, the country’s cabinet announced Thursday, adding that there was only a “marginal increase” in fatalities, which remained low compared to previous spikes… The country’s medical system has capacity to provide “routine health services,” authorities said in a statement Thursday, adding that the government would roll back certain pandemic control measures…

This seems to be the day for dealing with slimeballs on the left. First, we had liberal media stalking Sen. Ted Cruz’s 13-year-old daughter’s Tik Tok account to try to attack him, even though she didn’t even say anything particularly controversial. But how slimy to try to use a child in such a way. Then, there was the conspiracy theory about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — yes, another one, don’t they ever stop? Democrats and liberal media have been trying to claim that DeSantis has gone missing. Now, he’s only missing in their minds. But it’s quite something to watch such desperate mania unfold like this. They created a fantasy,

How slimy can the liberal media be? Well, there’s no doubt that — over time — we’ve seen many examples. Liberal media has thrown out a lot of norms in their effort to back the Democratic party. Once upon a time, they pretended they cared about being objective. But that time has long since passed. But, perhaps one of the worst things is going after the underage kids of politicians. It’s always been a big no-no — and for good reason. That didn’t stop the Dallas Morning News from stalking the Tik Tok account of the 13-year-old daughter of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

South Africa is currently at the lowest of its five-stage COVID-19 alert levels.

“America is back!” Joe Biden declared more than a year ago, as if immediately upon taking office, the former mediocre senator and vice president would restore America’s “role in the world.” Biden basically meant the United States would again attend international summits and sign meaningless joint statements. Otherwise, he’s failed everywhere. Let’s take a walk down memory lane 2021: China exacerbated the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic by lying for several weeks two winters ago, and evidence shows the world has been dealing with a deadly virus — nearly 6 million have died — because of recklessness at a Chinese biological research lab. With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old.
