Twitter Bans Marjorie Taylor Greene’s
Personal Account over Covid Remarks

Twitter permanently closed Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R., Ga.) personal account on Sunday over repeated violations of the company’s Covid misinformation policy, a company spokesperson told CNN. The congresswoman’s official account, @RepMTG, remains functional. It wasn’t immediately clear what comments on the personal account prompted the suspension. “We permanently suspended [Greene’s personal account] for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy,” the spokesperson said. “We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.”

The spineless Republican's had the chance to fix this when they controlled all 3 branches of Government. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell refused to end this censorship by the Leftist/Fascist Brown Shirts. We have a 2nd amendment for this very reason but the nation is locked in some sort of hypnotic psychosis.

Before Twits'r'us or Fakebook suspends an account for misleading posts, they should have to PROVE that post false (and even then only after also proving it was intentionally misleading, and not just incorrect). Both can go screw themselves, that is if they aren't already busy screwing their users.

The First Amendment prevents the federal government from censoring speech or the press. What a private company chooses to do it their business. For those wondering why use twitter - for me, twttter has been a source of breaking news, much appreciated commentators' podcasts, and editorial and scientific and informative articles of all sorts, including many Christian accounts that are wonderful. And generally fantastic takes on breaking news by smart and funny (conservative) people. Personally, I don't have anything to say for all the world to hear, so my account is private; I simply use it as a source of news, information and commentary. The heartier souls get into twitter battles. I have enjoyed it thoroughly and it has been a huge time-waster, both at the same time. I have had to un-follow some conservative folks whose foul mouths are too much to take, even if I agree with 99% of their opinions. And that's that. You follow those you find worthwhile, you disregard the rest. But the censorship really cannot be tolerated. So I will be migrating, in hopes of finding the same usefulness elsewhere.

The good news is that all of the hostages, including the rabbi of Congregation Beth-Israel, are alive and safe. The bad news is that a deranged British national entered the synagogue during Shabbat services and held the men hostage while demanding the release of convicted terrorist Aafia Siddiqui, known as Lady al-Qaeda. Today Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker released a statement of gratitude for being alive in a Facebook post. I am thankful and filled with appreciation for All of the vigils and prayers and love and support, All of the law enforcement and first responders who cared for us, All of the security training that helped save us. At this point, it’s clear there’s a difference between hospitalization with COVID-19 and for COVID-19. Now take the next logical step; there is also a difference between dying with COVID and dying from COVID. How many people listed as dying of COVID were receiving treatment for another illness and only tested positive? Apparently, that is a conversation the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) does not want to have. In an astonishing move, HHS notified hospitals they are no longer required to report COVID deaths beginning Feb. 2, 2022. Currently, the only required reporting of COVID deaths is the count from the previous day.

New York Times reporters Reid Epstein and Nick Corasaniti consoled the Democratic Party and lamented its electoral prospects in 2022 in Sunday’s lead story, “With Voting Rights Bill Dead, Democrats Face Costly Fight to Overcome GOP Curbs.” Evidently, moves by Republicans in various states to roll back pandemic-inspired loosening of the vote, such as ballot harvesting and vote drop boxes, are prima facie examples of “voter suppression” (a phrase used twice in quoted material here) that will doom the Democrats – as if an objective press would pick a side. And now the party will have to actually have to (gasp!) spend money to convince people to vote for them.

Do better. That is the message from some Senate Democrats to Joe Biden’s White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeffrey Zients. In a letter signed by the senators, they urged him to do better in their COVID response plan, present that plan to Congress and request additional funds if needed to contain the pandemic. Two of the senators are Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. Do you think maybe Biden’s heavy-handed approach to twisting their arms over blowing up the filibuster rules in order to get voting legislation passed that gives federal control over all elections may have something to do with their participation? A week from hell? Indeed, and a self-inflicted week from hell, which hasn’t escaped notice — even at CNN. Last night, Erin Burnett fact-checked Joe Biden’s claims on Tuesday that his election-federalizing project separated the righteous from the racists, especially when it comes to Georgia’s supposedly objectionable “restrictions.” Burnett didn’t compare Georgia to Biden’s home state of Delaware, which had been the target of much criticism, but instead looked at deep-blue New York. Which state makes it easier to do early voting? To get absentee ballots? You’d never guess from Biden’s rhetoric, Burnett pointed out

But the depths of the corruption, and how far bad actors are willing to go in corrupting our society, has largely remained hidden. But there are encouraging signs.

By next November, the economy will be a political dry hole for Democrats as it’s very unlikely that inflation will ease, and chances are getting better for the double-whammy of inflation and a slowing economy. Domestically, their agenda is stalled and doesn’t appear to have much chance of getting through the Senate.
