This seems to be the day for dealing with slimeballs on the left. First, we had liberal media stalking Sen. Ted Cruz’s 13-year-old daughter’s Tik Tok account to try to attack him, even though she didn’t even say anything particularly controversial. But how slimy to try to use a child in such a way. Then, there was the conspiracy theory about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — yes, another one, don’t they ever stop? Democrats and liberal media have been trying to claim that DeSantis has gone missing. Now, he’s only missing in their minds. But it’s quite something to watch such desperate mania unfold like this. They created a fantasy,

Moscow - Russian President Vladimir Putin recognised two breakaway regions in eastern Ukraine as independent on Monday and ordered the Russian army to launch what Moscow called a peacekeeping operation in the area, upping the ante in a crisis the West fears could unleash a major war.
Putin told Russia's defence ministry to deploy troops into the two breakaway regions to "keep the peace" in a decree issued shortly after he announced recognition for Russia-backed separatists there, drawing U.S. and European vows of new sanctions. The Pentagon is anticipating that Russia will invade the two separatist regions of Ukraine’s Donbas territory tonight, following Russian president Vladimir Putin’s recognition of their independence Monday.
Russian forces are expected to move into the two separatist territories, which call themselves the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Monday evening, Jennifer Griffin of Fox News reported.
Since Putin’s announcement and signing ceremony, unconfirmed footage has circulated on Twitter depicting a convoy of buses entering Donetsk. It is not yet clear what is being transported across the border into Ukraine
Russian president Vladimir Putin will recognize the independence of the eastern Ukrainian enclaves of Donetsk and Lugansk, which have have been under the de-facto control of pro-Russian separatists for years.
“The president of Russia said that he intended to sign the relevant decree in the near future,” the Kremlin announced on Monday. “The president of France and the Federal Chancellor of Germany expressed their disappointment with this development. At the same time, they indicated their readiness to continue contacts.”

Late Sunday evening, the White House, via Press Secretary Jen Psaki, announced that a “summit” between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden had been agreed to in “principle.” That followed the same claim being made by French President Emmanual Marcon, who is currently at the Munich Security Conference. The framing was of Biden accepting an invitation, making it seem as if Putin had asked for the sitdown.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Sunday evening said Biden “accepted in principle” a meeting with Putin “if an invasion hasn’t happened.” She said the meeting would take place after Blinken and Lavrov’s meeting.

At around 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, the White House announced that Biden would leave in the evening to return to his home in Delaware for Presidents’ Day, even though officials said Friday the president would remain at the White House for the weekend.
Biden appeared anxious to return home, but roughly an hour later, his plans were canceled.

At the Ivy League Championship Swim Meet last weekend, Thomas easily won four events, setting pool and league records. She may be the most-improved swimmer in history. She was ranked 462nd in the country a few years ago, and is now ranked Number 1.
