Airline executives are sounding louder alarms about the impending rollout of 5G service, warning that the cellphone frequencies could lead to 350,000 delays each year by jamming their in-flight systems. The ultra-fast so-called C-Band service is set to roll out nationally in big cities on Jan. 5, meaning any rules to limit its strength to address airline safety concerns need to happen soon.

I recommend that you drive an old car and throw the beer cans out the window. Safest way to travel, IMHO.

Based upon recent performance, how will we be able to tell the difference?

Not by chips but it will affect the vaccinated #2. I'm not kidding. 5G is dangerous.

The Congress and airlines were warned years ago that 5G might interfere with airline traffic and also harm humans. So why so much alarm now when they could have done something about it four or five years ago? I guess the kickbacks from the phone companies to those in Congress was a delaying tactic. Now that the 5G system is up and running, it can't be taken down. The military even has a weapon they've used in Iraq that uses 5G technology. It sends out 5G waves toward the enemy and burns the enemy soldiers.

Airlines are just now complaining?? 5G has been rolling out for about 2 years now in major markets with no issues from airlines.

BS on the airlines. If this were true, then airplanes would have been crashing on a minute-by-minute basis when UHF occupied that band. Those stations broadcast at 50-100 kilowatts of energy from massive towers. The power level of an average cell phone tower would be barely enough to light the bulbs in an average house.
Remember the cellphone policies of airlines once cellphones became popular? Funny how the profit motive allows for the use of cellphones in flight using WiFi - which occupies the same bandwidth - C-band.

With the airlines' current trajectory from treating customers like cattle and following the woke government mandates they may not need very many flights.

Buttplugs, you are supposed to be in charge of transportation and have been pretty quiet about this 5G thing. Or you are still on maternity leave with your husband? What's the deal on 5G, pal/gal?

Sounds like the Airlines will be out of business and we will have to drive to our vacation spots, and business meetings. However there has also been speculation/conspiracy theories that 5G will also cause problems with vehicles computer systems, navigation systems particularly in hybrids and all electric vehicles.
Going to be interesting to see if this is year 2000 type hype or if everything goes to hell in a hand basket so to speak.

5G has nothing to do with Wuhan. Radio does not spread biological viruses. There are no chips in any American vaccine. TV UHF ends at 806 MHz. Radar altimeters are 4.2 to 4.4 GHz. 5G can use the nearby 3.7 to 3.98 GHz.
Is 202 MHz enough separation that when the filter rolloffs intersect, they are at a safe amplitude?
This 5G band is already in use in other countries. So far, so good.

#16 Your message (and math) is correct, but you're going to confuse some folks who won't notice the difference between GHz and MHz.

5G has been operating safely with aviation C band equipment for years in over 40 countries around the world. C band has been used by air-to-ground radar at much higher power levels and with less bandwidth separation with no impact to ILS systems for years as well. The cell phone C band is twice as separated in bandwidth for even more protection.
The real question is, "Why is the airline industry pushing this false narrative?"

After these past 2 years, why are we surprised some folks believe anything ladled out to them if it fits their particular world view and the fear narrative they support? The tin foil hats on both sides seem to be running the show thanks to radical politicians and click bait journos. I long for the good old days of fact based science (and history and journalism).

If the airlines haven't told us for decades to 'turn off cellphones and other electronic equipment' because it supposedly interfered with navigation, I might believe them now. Trials that tested that have proven them false. If it were so easy to knock out planes navigation, wouldn't enemy ground forces be doing it now?
This all started when the Air-Phones installed in the seat backs. Charged $$$ to your credit card to make a call from them.

I've never turned off my phone on a plane. Just put it in my pocket during take off when the nosy bodies run up n down the plane insisting on this unscientific nonsense.
If phones could crash planes I'd be dead and so would thousands of others as I'm quite certain very few actually turn off phones as opposed to simply put them down.
As far as microchips in viruses or inoculations or mind control or any of the rest of that... my god, that's just literally tin foil hat crazy talk. It's the same fear porn as global warming and a white supremacist behind every tree and Covid triple masking Fauci garbage except from the far right.

It may be detrimental to cell phone users if thousands or millions of airborne phones try to contact cell towers from altitude. Since they all would have line of sight to all the towers, the towers may become overwhelmed with connections. On the ground your phone connects to a tower that is within range and has nothing blocking your signal. Hopefully simulations have been run to verify how many air and ground cell phone calls or data connections will be competing for the same tower etc. The other thing may be 5G allows people to call and get data and not use the airlines airborne WI-FI systems causing airlines to lose $$$$$ ?

A large percentage of Ivy League Graduates could not explain why we have seasons or phases of the moon. Clearly it's too much to expect people to understand that non-ionizing radiation can't alter cells any more than 100 degree heat can ever cause paper to burn. There is nothing novel about the frequency bands or the wattage levels. I tried to explain how absurd the Y2K hysteria was because the mass stupidity was crushing my expectations of an educated and informed country. The same people who panic over 5G let their bodies become genetically modified organisms though injections of experimental genetically engineered RNA from corporations they can't even sue... no matter how slipshod the development or horrific the results.

I get so tired of people referring to "Y2K hype". The likelihood of Y2K-caused system failures was quite real until many, many thousands of people worldwide worked for several years beforehand to adapt software to the imminent reality of year numbers that needed more than two digits to be unambiguous.
Labeling the warnings about the Y2K problem as fear porn is almost as stupid as calling the warnings about polio in the 1950s ridiculous. The reason we don't fear polio today is because, as a result of much hard work by scientists like Salk and Sabin, we have *real* vaccines that have pretty much wiped it out. And the reason Y2K seems like a non-problem today is because of the work beforehand to avoid it.

Both Covid-19 and 5G were developed in Wuhan China around the same time. I have long suspected the two are related in the efforts to exterminate humanity. 5G is scheduled to roll out on January 5th in the USA. If this does not scare you, it should and very few people are talking about it. The fact that 5G is a weapons system is well documented as are the serious health implications of rolling it out for cell phone use. Cities and entire countries have banned its use, yet here in America it's full steam ahead even, it appears, over the objections of the airline industry. You could not pay me to fly on a plane.
