Dem Rep. Thompson: Trump Did Nothing as
We Came ‘Perilously Close to Losing
Our Democracy’

Original Article

Representative Bennie Thompson (D-MS) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that former President Donald Trump “did nothing” to stop the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol as we came “perilously close to losing our democracy.”Thompson said, “Let me say that what we have been able to ascertain is that we came perilously close to losing our democracy as we come to learn it. Had those insurrectionists been successful, we are not certain what we would have had, had it not been for the brave men and women who protected the Capitol in spite of being woefully outnumbered.

This commie btard is now demanding enhanced 'intelligence gathering' (euphemism for spying) upon the citizenry to protect him and his congressional ilk. This is the same little bolshie that said that anyone who exerts their fifth amendment rights is guilty. I don't think the word democracy means what he thinks it does. In his usage, it comes out as 'dictatorship'. We know he doesn't believe in a constitutional republic, even though he swore to uphold it.

Everything is due to "racism" & will cause us to "lose our democracy". These guys all hang onto their lies & narratives like a bulldog on a bone. I saw a reference to Joe Rogan's show, & it's true for this site too; it's like the French Resistance in WWII operating a ham radio to get outside news.

For he Capitol Police being "woefully outnumbered" you have only to look at Nasty Pelozi, who had authority and responsibility for their duty levels that day. As for Trump, he very clearly enjoined upon the protesters to be peaceful. That they ignored his direction hints at the influence of Leftists pretending to be protesters (which analysis of surveillance video later showed to be the case).

‘Perilously Close to Losing Our Democracy’ yea, right. Mandating experimental injections is sooo democratic. Didn't Puerto Rican Nationalist's shoot up the House Chamber in 1954, hitting five congressmen? Didn't a Bernie fan shoot up the congressional baseball game practice in 2017 hitting four, two critically, and wounding others? Both of those incidents came closer to an "armed insurrection" that whatever happened on Jan 6th. We are NOT a "democracy." We are a "Representative Republic." They are the ones h#ll bent on federalizing the elections, changing election laws and remove the citizens ability at the local level to choose representative's that will take their voice to Washington. ALSO...They really, really want to sell the "White Supremacist" narrative because it is essential to being able to carry out their plan. If Trump supporting regular American's can be defined as "White Supremacist's" they are then classified as terrorists so that they can spy on all of us with impunity. AND...just like the "Russian Collusion" story, they are really, really bad at making up stories.

BS is the democrat partys stock in trade. Covid, racism and the Jan. 6th 'insurrection' is all they've got and the lame media trumpeting it. You think there might be a few un-corrupt dem politicians, and then they open there mouths. And the dems of color are the worst. If it weren't for the dominion voting machines and the cemetery vote, they'd be toast! It's hard to believe anyone, anyone, could be so lame brained stupid as to vote for anyone with a 'd' after their name. Sorry for the rant, but this constant harping about losing our democracy from members of the political party actively trying to end it is sickening!

Thompson is a flat out liar. There was NO insurrection on Jan. 6. There was an FBI fake event which entrapped a bunch of innocent people, and one of Nasty Nancy's hired killers shot down an innocent woman for no legitimate reason. No matter how many times they repeat this lie....it is still a LIE.

It is amazing how much “history” is believed and taught that originated by people like this telling stories like this. The narrative regarding Jan 6th is being enshrined by the likes of this man, Pelosi, Cheney, and several others with their constant referral to this as an insurrection. This is one of the many avenues that the present day Bolsheviks are using to destroy this country.

The Democrats are grasping at straws trying to make a big deal out of nothing just to try to keep DJT from reclaiming his rightful position as President. Get a life and start governing FOR the people instead of against them and maybe you'd have little to worry about. God, it must be terrible to awaken each morning as a Democrat.

Many of us know people who attended the January 6 show of indignation and support for Trump after the obvious theft of an election. They weren’t idiots, and they weren’t trying to take over the government. But is is remarkable (and disgusting), that so few “republican” representatives have the stones to support their supposed conservative convictions. If they were around in 1776, Washington never would have reached the Delaware.

Well if Trump had hopped in his beast (automobile) and drove to the Capitol building during the riot to try and stop the lawlessness. Thompson would be out there today falsely claiming that Trump came to the Capitol to lead the “insurrectionists” to destroy democracy. With the Democrats now it is all politics, as they recognize the the Republicans have a good chance to be the majority party in Congress after the 2022 election.

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old. That is one year older than Ronald Reagan’s age when he left office in 1988.Looking at the 2024 contest from the other side of the race, there is no reason to expect that Joe Biden

Alec Baldwin has said Halyna Hutchins' death is 'the worst situation' he has 'ever been involved with'. The actor, 63, accidentally fatally shot the cinematographer on the set of the Western film Rust last year, and in a lengthy video, reflected on 2021 and how thankful he is to have gotten 'so much goodwill from people'. He said: 'I've had more people who have been kind and thoughtful and generous of spirit than I've had people who are malignant about the death of Halyna Hutchins.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver remarks at the US Capitol on Thursday to mark the first anniversary of January 6th insurrection. The pair will speak in one part of a series of events organized by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats in 'solemn observance' for the officers who died protecting the Capitol from the rioters.Although it is unknown what the pair will say Thursday, Biden has repeatedly condemned the rioters who breached the Capitol while Congress was certifying the 2020 presidential election and has referred to the insurrection as a 'dark day' in American history.

WASHINGTON — Days before the anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced the Senate will vote on filibuster rules changes to advance stalled voting legislation that Democrats say is needed to protect democracy. In a letter Monday to colleagues, Schumer, D-N.Y., said the Senate “must evolve” and will “debate and consider” the rules changes by Jan. 17, on or before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as the Democrats seek to overcome Republican opposition to their elections law package. “Let me be clear: January 6th was a symptom of a broader illness — an effort to delegitimize our election process,”

Omicron has been a drag for New Yorkers, but not for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The far-left lawmaker (D-NY) was spotted maskless once again in Florida, this time at a packed drag bar in Miami — as the Big Apple continued to be hammered by record-high numbers of COVID-19 cases and faces an indoor mask mandate for one more month. In video posted by a reporter for the Sunshine State’s Conservative Voice on Sunday, the Democratic darling is seen waving to the large crowd of mostly unmasked drag bar-goers. “AOC is STILL lounging it up in Florida, in large crowds and maskless,” tweeted Brendon Leslie,

To left-leaning Democrats, Stacey Abrams, who is making her second run for Georgia governor, is a superstar: a nationally recognized voting-rights champion, a symbol of her state’s changing demographics, and a political visionary who registered and mobilized tens of thousands of new voters — the kind of grassroots organizing that progressives have long preached. “I don’t think anyone could call Stacey Abrams a moderate,” said Aimee Allison, the founder of She the People, a progressive advocacy group for women of color. Moderates would beg to differ. They see Abrams as an ally for rejecting left-wing policies that center-left Democrats have

Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer announced Monday that the chamber would debate eliminating the filibuster in the coming weeks if Republicans refuse to join Democrats in passing sweeping voting legislation. While the filibuster was designed to empower the minority party in the Senate, Schumer argued that it now serves to “embarrass the will of the majority,” against the founders’ intentions for legislative procedure. He claimed that Republicans should not be allowed to block the Freedom to Vote Act, using the vehicle of the filibuster, that only further enshrines and expands the American right to vote.

Hours after being kicked off of Twitter for good, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took to Instagram to absolutely SHRED fellow House Republican Dan Crenshaw for his theatrics over a “toothless” proposal to ‘hold big tech accountable,’ when, in reality, he’s been frequently absent for Congressional votes that are close enough where he would actually make a difference. Case in point, Greene provides a screenshot of a roll call vote tally showing a proposal that was introduced by radical Maxine Waters passing by just one vote, 215-214. Four Democrats had gone across the aisle to side with Republicans, but Crenshaw refused
