The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Monday shortened the recommended times that people should isolate when they've tested positive for Covid-19 from 10 days to five days if they don't have symptoms -- and if they wear a mask around others for at least five more days. The CDC also shortened the recommended time for people to quarantine if they are exposed to the virus to a similar five days if they are vaccinated. People who are fully vaccinated and boosted may not need to quarantine at all, the CDC said. "Given what we currently know about COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, CDC is shortening

They can shove their quarantine where the sun don't shine. First: If I was asymptomatic why would I bother with a test. second, If I felt good and showed no signs of Covid and I was tested i would assume the test sucked and would do what I please/ IMO the tests are a joke.

But I thought that we are all going to die if one gets Covid. Why only five days? I would think if Covid was that bad, the recommended quarantine time would lengthen to maybe two weeks or longer.

Whatever Happened to the 'Pandemic of
the Unvaccinated'?

Joe Biden’s desire to blame the pandemic on his political opponents never ceases to amaze us. From mask-shaming to claiming that Republicans want to kill children, to grandiosely naming the COVID-19 pandemic as a “Pandemic of the Unvaccinated,” Biden has sought to portray his political opponents as obstacles to normalcy. This is a policy formulated at the top levels of our government: portraying a segment of the American people as dangerous ignoramuses who don’t care if they kill their friends and neighbors. As recently as Dec. 14, in an interview with a local TV station, Biden said “This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. The unvaccinated. Not the vaccinated, the unvaccinated.”

The woman seen on a viral video slapping a man on a Delta flight, over a mask, has been identified as former NFL cheerleader, Playboy model, and Baywatch actress, Patricia Cornwall, according to reports. The slapping incident occurred last Thursday during a flight from Tampa, Florida, to Atlanta, Georgia. It isn’t clear from the video what started the argument between Cornwall and the older man sitting in an aisle seat, but at one point, Cornwall is seen slapping the man and then drawing back her arm and making a fist as if to punch him before being restrained by others.

Harry Reid, one of the Senate’s longest serving majority leaders and a Democrat who played a central role in enacting President Obama’s biggest legislative accomplishments, died Tuesday at 82. The death was announced by longtime political reporter Jon Ralston, who called Reid "probably the most important elected official in Nevada history." "Harry Reid was one of the most amazing individuals I've ever met," Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a statement. "He was my leader, my mentor, one of my dearest friends."

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Faulkner Focus,” Fox News Medical Contributor and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Professor Dr. Marty Makary argued that the biggest failure in the coronavirus pandemic response is the failure to tailor policies based on individual risk, and that “those who have chosen not to get vaccinated and have not had COVID, they do so at their own individual risk. We’ve never seen this level of martial law and paternalism to prevent mild infection in 300 million Americans.” Makary said, [relevant remarks begin around 4:45] “Look, the greatest failure of the pandemic response by public health officials has been the failure to recognize

As RedState reported this morning, Joe Biden has officially surrendered on COVID-19. No, that’s not right-wing spin. Rather, the president literally admitted that there is no federal solution to the coronavirus, asserting that the solutions will be at the state level. For many of us, it was a major “I told you so” moment going back not just months, but all the way back to spring of 2020 when it already appeared likely that you weren’t going to control the spread of the virus. Yet, we’ve been playing a ridiculous game of mandates and lockdowns ever since, with some coming from the federal government. But with cases exploding

Fear porn over COVID has driven some people into wild responses. As we noted, there are some folks flooding emergency rooms in Vermont despite being asymptomatic and other people suffering from a pandemic of fear of the virus. On Christmas Day we wrote about the melee that occurred on a Delta flight from Tampa to Atlanta on December 23. A woman became infuriated that an elderly man was not wearing a mask on the flight. He said that he was eating at the time. She started screaming at him to put his mask on, a verbal back and forth ensued, with him telling her to “Sit down, Karen”

Most of the time, the panel or roundtable portion of any weekly Sunday political program is a lively exchange among the moderator and the panelists. But that wasn’t the case during one segment of CBS News’ “Face The Nation” this week. As the show does once a year, it convened a panel made up entirely of the news division’s correspondents, ostensibly to review the big stories of 2021 and make some predictions about where those storylines will go in 2022 and beyond. But at some point in the segment, the panel sat in stunned silence for over a minute-and-a-half, as one of their own spoke the truth about how damaging

News flash: I’m as tired of writing about COVID-19 and the Omicron variant as you are of reading about it. But here’s the thing. Turns out, there’s a legitimate reason to panic over Omicron. On the left, that is. Based on the results of a new study, it’s hard for people with Omicron to distinguish it from a common cold. Let’s first back up the bus. As my colleague Scott Hounsell reported on Friday, a recent Danish study suggests Moderna’s mRNA COVID vaccine actually increases the probability of contracting the Omicron variant after 90 days — a devastating body blow to the narrative of fearmongering liberals everywhere. Turns out, it’s even worse.

The rapid decline of Hollywood’s share of the Chinese film market – the largest in the world as of 2020, when the Chinese coronavirus pandemic shut American cinemas and productions down – has created a small but growing market of Western actors landing big roles as the villains in communist propaganda movies. Hollywood studios have spent much of the past decade attempting to court Chinese audiences, which necessitates groveling to the Chinese Communist Party lest their productions get censored or simply outlawed in the country. The American entertainment establishment has tried everything – from spending heavily on low-intellect and inoffensive comic book movies to erasing even a suspected mention

Not much, as Manchin has largely stuck to his positions regardless, but Mountain State TV and radio stations must be loving this: Over the last year, we’ve noticed a big chunk of issue ads targeting Manchin back home. The House of Representatives has passed a bill that seeks to eradicate blasphemy against Islam. The bill, H.R. 5665, is truly remarkable as it amounts to Congress making a law respecting the establishment of Islam and reducing the United States government into a tool of the world’s ayatollahs. The actual text of the bill not only seeks to eradicate blasphemy against Islam around the world – and solely against Islam at that – but even requires the federal government to reorganize some portions of the State Department along the lines of an Islamic religious institution which will be responsible for interpreting the Quran.

A poll released Monday shows powerful Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell hemorrhaging GOP support, less than a year until the 2022 midterm elections. McConnell came in dead last in Gallup's new survey ranking 11 federal officials by their job approval ratings. His 34 percent public approval is lower than that of President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. But while the three top Democrats in government found majority support among their own party's voters, the Kentucky Republican is trailing in the GOP sphere. Just 46 percent of McConnell's fellow Republicans approve of his job in the Senate, while a decisive 52-point majority disapprove.
