Trump's stirring vaccine defense: Ex-president
says most Americans dying or hospitalized
because of COVID are unvaccinated and
encourages everyone to get the shot when
pushed on why more have died under Biden

Donald Trump said Wednesday that people unvaccinated against coronavirus are the ones getting 'very sick' as he pushed back against conservative Candace Owens by claiming all Americans should get the jab while he again took credit for its creation. 'I came up with a vaccine–with three vaccines,' Trump told the Daily Wire host, referring to the development of the Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines while he was still president. 'All are very, very good. Came up with three of them in less than nine months. It was supposed to take five to 12 years.' Owens interjected: 'Yet more people have died under COVID this year, by the way,

Trump is making a major mistake here by not allowing for personal choice - a precept of Conservatism. Maybe because he pushed so hard for the vax development, he doesn't want to give it up and learn what we now know about the experimental drugs. I'm not a single issue voter but his position worries me.

I don't hold this against Trump. He didn't make the shots; he only made it possible to quickly get the shots to the public. Of course he is for personal choice. He has said so many times. Urging the public to get the shot does not mean otherwise.

Truly disappointing. Trump made some yuge mistakes while president, especially by not exercising his hallmark "You're fired!" declaration to purge leftists from the bureaucratic ranks. I was hoping to see a wiser Trump emerge. Boorishly Proclaiming that the vaccine is wonderful and that he developed it and therefore everybody should take it only strengthens emperor poopy pant's hand and paints Trump as a captive of hubris.

What makes him think we need the jab when he himself survived the Wuhan Flu without it? Covid is less of a risk than the jab. Moreover, you're much better off if you get covid (and survive, which is extremely likely) due to natural immunities. #4 et al are correct. Bad advice.

I will admit I don't know a lot about sports. However, I have always understood that sometimes it is necessary or wise to send in a relief pitcher or a new quarterback to win. I like Mr Trump, but I think Gov DeSantis needs to be warming up in the bullpen. With his lack of " baggage", proven record and youth I have hope he can win. Covid and race are all the Democrats have at this point. President Trump, for better or worse, will always be tied to the Covid nightmare.

Trump's ability to back up, regroup and promote Plan B is limited. Fortunately his first instincts have typically been right. He was fed bad info on the virus and vaccine by Fauci. He had no way to weigh the true facts or the true science. He's now not going to back down from the vaccine because it was developed under his direction. Any so called vaccine that requires 4 jabs in 12 months is not a vaccine.

I’m curious as to the origin of the OReilly Trump history tour. Is President Trump getting input from OReilly and if so, where do we think he is steering him? In the future, the only way out of his position would be to say the experts lied about the vaccines and the death rates and with no support from MConnell or the house how could you fire and then appoint and confirm a replacement.

On one loud bluster, Donald Trump let Biden off the hook for his hollow promises to halt Covid, gave the liars who built and and are selling the shots off the hook, and also placed the blame for the ongoing pandemic squarely on the backs of noncompliant Americans who want to be left alone, and to see justice done. Hard stop. FTA: "Joe Biden's White House press secretary used Trump's comments Wednesday to promote Americans getting vaccines. 'We are grateful that the former president got the booster,' Jen Psaki said during her briefing on Thursday. 'We're also grateful that he made clear in a recent interview that they're effective and they're safe, and that's an important issue for anyone to hear.'"

Love and supported Trump but I did the same for Dubya. Huge political mistake. If the media reports 40% of America refuses the shot, bet your life it’s more. I have many questions regarding his judgement; hiring Wray, not firing Fauci, not releasing Assange. Now promoting the clot shot. Many Christian patriots believe he’s compromised. Ending on a positive note, he exposed the Chinese, brought jobs back, promoted sovereignty, the military, & and our police. Ultimately our faith and prayer are our hope. It’s not a man or apolitical party.

This is an admitted weakness for the best President ever to continue touting as a winning point. Our country is in so much trouble from the mess thrown at it by the socio communists and their backers, that we really do need him back at the helm. Granted it will be even harder to pull America back to some semblance of being on the right track. Many are wanting De Santis to compete for the job. Let him stay as Governor of Florida where he is doing an outstanding job for another term, then look for his nomination for the Presidency. You can't let someone who has been 95% on the money through four tumultuous ears slip through your fingers just like that because he had lousy advice and tried to salvage something from the damage that was done to the efficacy of ivermectin and hydroxychloquine by the money grubbing big pharma and others. #2 understood his position.

We tried to tell Trump to let this vaccine thing go over a year ago. He needs to stop. If he gets another chance at the presidency he needs to only have everyday conservatives as his advisers. They shouldn't move to Washington, but he should seek their advice from afar. The best of the Washington crowd is not good for him. Shut up, already. This talk is not helping.

Oh, quit your belly aching everyone. Sheesh. Man was the best president since Reagan but made some bad hires and has a different view than you on one thing and you all explode in froth and spittle. You will *never* get a president who you agree with 100% and makes no mistakes. If that's your standard you are doomed to a lifetime of anger and disappointment. He is absolutely for freedom on this topic. He has never pushed for mandates and closures and forced injections. Stop repeating Marxist lies. As a real conservative, I chose my own response to Covid given the best information available at the time. People who want a shot should get a shot. People who don't should be allowed to live free lives without it. That's a true conservative view point I share with Trump. Anything else said about it is furthering Marxist nonsense. I look forward to the same crowd crying about DeSantis being a traitor and disappointment the first time he makes a mistake or has a view on one of a thousand topics that doesn't absolutely agree with yours.

Good for him. This is real leadership - he is invited to blame Biden, and he well could have, noting that coercing peope just makes them suspicious, and Biden's general performance is such that nobody believes his unspported word about anything. Instead Trump takes the blow himself, and knowingly steps into unpopularity by giving the best advice available. People shouldn't boo him. He is the source of most of what we know about therapeutics. Didn't we all calibrate the experts based on (a) listen to Trump about therapeutics, then see who is obscuring that, reject everything further from those sources, and so onward? What a man. I know, he should run for President!

But this is the primary issue of his presidency and the biggest issue in the last 10 years (except maybe immigration). This has cost a lot of lives and many trillions of dollars and it isn't over. Trump is lying when he says the unvaccinated are the ones dying with the virus. Does Trump think pregnant women and children should be intimidated into taking the virus. Does Trump think the unvaccinated should be fired? Does Trump think Australians should be rounded up and put in concentration camps? When will Trump ask anyone else's opinions, especially his supporters? That has never happened, and going it gunslinger instead of asking your supporters has led you to ruin. You listened to Fauci and Birx who were sent to take you down, and they succeeded. I am thinking it is time to move on to Ron DeSantis. Trump has learned nothing from his personnel failures, and his refusal to reduce the size of government. We will have nothing but an even larger government if Trump is elected. He doesn't get that the government has grown so large and powerful that they control everything. That is why we are facing communism.

30, what is the problem? Saying people should be free to make their own decisions with the information available? How is that a deal breaker?? Some real world indisputable facts: 1: Covid kills people, it is not the common cold 2: The vaccines mostly worked for a short period but protection quickly faded 3: Boosters had much lessened but non zero effect on Delta and other variants 4: vaccines have also killed and injured people 5: Real math shows that if you are in a high risk group you are better off with endless boosters than with nothing. The risk is in your favor for non-omicron variants. Remains to be seen for omicron but looking like omicron is mostly harmless so far 6: if in a low risk group, flip a coin. The data here is minimal but hard to say either way if a healthy 3w year old should get injected. 7: Masks don't help. Social distancing doesn't help. Lockdowns don't help. 8: We're all very likely to get omicron, sneeze a few times, recover quickly, unknown if this grants general, resistance to other variants, yet. Trump said the shots work and you should get one if you want one. For higher risk people this is true. So, what is the problem?

I can't believe that I know something that DJT doesn't seem to know. The government (NIH) created Sars2 at UNC Chapel Hill from about 2000 to 2017. The gov handed it off to the Chinese for weaponization around 2014. The vaccine was patented in 2019, 3 days before the final Sars2 genome. They had to withdraw and do it again Fauci knew every fact of all of this information because he was the gov point man on the effort. If I could find this out, why can't DJT? He still remains the best president ever, and I wish he had survived the theft of the election, but alas, that's over because of Pence, and we will travel the road to ruin long before Nov, 2024. This entire covid exercise is a power grab by the ruling elite. They have successfully stampeded the herd into taking a poison. Why does EVERY American citizen have to take FOUR shots not while not one single illegal alien has to take ANY shot at all? WE are supposed to die. THAT is the "GREAT RESET". I can't believe DJT doesn't know this. Archbishop Vergano does.

Even Dr. Robert Malone and other doctors recommend that those in high risk groups take the mRNA vaccine - despite its limitations. Just find and consult with a doctor you trust. Oh, where to start? Trump had to do something. Most people expected something to be done. He turned to the pharmaceuticals. Logical choice. Too bad their vaccine does not work. He relied on Fake Fauci. Bad choice, but Fauci is the 'expert'. Good help is hard to find. Especially in Washington. The lockdown was a mistake. 60 million lost their jobs? That was on Trump's watch. It's not all his fault though. Trump never mandated the vaccine. Blame that on Biden. It took a year for enough data to emerge to show the vaccine does not work. Jury still out on herd immunity, btw. It's a mixed bag.

Rapid antigen tests for Covid may be less sensitive in detecting the Omicron variant and are leading to 'false negatives,' the Food and Drug Administration said Tuesday. An Indiana mother rebuked woke bail funds after a cocaine and burglary suspect was freed and 'murdered her son.' Nikki Sterling—the mother of Dylan McGinnis, 24, who was shot and killed on October 1—is lashing out against The Bail Project after the organization helped get the suspected 'killer' Travis Lang, 23, out of jail on cocaine possession and burglary charges in January. The grieving mother was 'shocked' to find out that the organization supported 'violent offenders to get out [of jail]' by bailing inmates out. It is one of a number that have been heavily promoted on social media since Black Lives Matter protests

Koushik Shaw, a doctor who practices at the Austin Urology Institute, told WaPo his practice saw a roughly 15% increase in scheduled vasectomies following the state’s Sept. 1 abortion ban. Shaw told the outlet patients are coming in, saying “‘Hey, I’m actually here because some of these changes that [Gov. Greg] Abbott and our legislature have passed that are really impacting our decision-making in terms of family planning,’ so that was a new one for me as a reason

The House of Representatives has passed a bill that seeks to eradicate blasphemy against Islam. The bill, H.R. 5665, is truly remarkable as it amounts to Congress making a law respecting the establishment of Islam and reducing the United States government into a tool of the world’s ayatollahs. The actual text of the bill not only seeks to eradicate blasphemy against Islam around the world – and solely against Islam at that – but even requires the federal government to reorganize some portions of the State Department along the lines of an Islamic religious institution which will be responsible for interpreting the Quran.

Comrades, many American citizens stood jaw agape as they watched Australian metropolitan police departments begin cracking skulls and making arrests for violating COVID rules and restrictions. Yes, it always seemed like Australia, New Zealand and Europe were the beta testing ground to see if police would comply with jackboot arrests of their own community. Well, now we can see those same tactics being deployed in the U.S. New York City was the first large metropolitan area to require vaccination identification cards to enter restaurants, bars, dining establishments and various public and private venues. Now comes the enforcement part.

Between Joe Biden’s poor poll numbers and his party being increasingly out of touch with the American public, the Democratic Party is widely expected to suffer devastating losses in the 2022 midterms. But prominent Democrat lawyer Marc Elias is predicting that Democrats will try to use litigation to prevent some duly elected Republicans from serving. “My prediction for 2022: Before the midterm election, we will have a serious discussion about whether individual Republican House Members are disqualified by Section 3 of the 14th Amendment from serving in Congress,” Elias tweeted last week. “We may even see litigation.” [Tweet] Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center scoffed at Elias’s absurd idea.

The U.S. Constitution is the sacred text of American government and civic life. But it’s time to face facts: The document, written in 1787, isn’t working. The signs are all around us. Just 38 percent of Americans in a recent Gallup poll expressed either a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in the presidency, down from 48 percent in 2001. Congress, never high in the public’s estimation to begin with, fell from 26 percent to a mere 12 percent. The Supreme Court has also taken a hit, down from 50 percent to 36 percent during the same period.

There's an accident in the Oval Office. Not the kind of accident left on the rug in front of the Resolute Desk on a regular basis by the untrained, rowdy dogs the Biden's sicced on the unwitting White House staff and Secret Service. I'm talking about the man who sits behind the resolute desk for his daily naps. Joe Biden is the accidental president. He is the result of an accident of American politics. His presidency will not be remembered with an asterisk, as my friend and fellow Townhall columnist Kurt Schlichter would say. No, it will be remembered... reviled...
