NFL Postpones Games Due to the Jab Being Jive

Here at the sports desk located somewhere below decks of the Good Pirate Ship RedState, we are presently wallowing in nostalgia for a bygone era. You know, the one where if a game had been scheduled, nothing short of an act of God would prevent it from taking place? Now, all it takes is some positive COVID tests, and no matter how asymptomatic those involved may be, everything gets shut down. A couple of days ago, we detailed how the rapidly ascending number of athletes testing positive for COVID despite most being vaccinated is once again proving that the jab is jive in terms of effectiveness.

Comments:

I haven't watched them in four years anyway, and I don't pay attention to them at all. But I guess it's safe to say the NFL isn't getting any less woke.

Now that betting on sports is legal, what is to stop a gambler infiltrating the testing procedures, pre-game, knocking out one side's stars at the Super Bowl?? And betting on the 'healthier' team heavily?

FTA: At some point in time, the sheer amount of money involved in professional sports, and for that matter college, is going to start talking in a thunderous voice. When the pocket books start taking a real hit then thing will change. Money speaks volumes.

This is why it takes years to get these shots to market. If this had gone through normal channels under normal times they would have discovered this flaw, throw in the towel, and gone back to the drawing board. There is no covid 19 from 2018. It has mutated and mutated and it is gone. The original covid shot is no longer effective. If you have the shots you can get covid and pass covid. If you do not get the shot you can get covid and pass covid. Play the game with the players that test negative and get on with life.

The NHL (hockey) has postponed a number of their scheduled games this coming week until after Christmas. They played Calvary a couple weeks ago and now there are a whole bunch of positives happening in their league as well. Maybe doing without Super Bowl and all the revenue this year might wake them up to their ridiculous stand on jabs?

Decades ago the Vikings were playing odd football. They kept rotating players in and out. Some were throwing up. Oddest thing ever. They were food poisoned on the plane. They played anyway. Did pretty well too, all things considered. I always wondered how a player could be slammed into by another player if he had the trots. Now, they are delicate flowers. What happened? Ted

It is now getting pretty much impossible to deny that these mRNA "vaccines" are an entirely failed experiment. Not only do they not provide any substantial, long lasting immunity to getting the disease, getting sick and passing on the disease, .....there is the nasty little issue of KILLING and maiming huge numbers of people in the short run, and probably a lot of bad effects in the longer run, too. FAILED experiment. Thankfully, I am a proud member of the Control Group.

It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of morons. If these people didn't party like mice on a cheese ship they wouldn't keep spreading the flu around. When a guy is paid more than doctors and CEOs of large corporations to play a game involving a ball moving around a field there is something upside down with society anyway.

I keep thinking the medical community cannot lose anymore credibility with me, and then yet another doctor posts a melancholic plea to the “unvaccinated” community on their social media page about how overworked they are and how they have to spend the holidays in the hospital instead of with their own family. Sometimes, the hackneyed virtue signaling might include a note about how vaccines save lives, but usually it stops just after explaining how overworked the person is. I am confused: Are you concerned about saving lives or just making sure your life isn’t too inconvenienced?

It’s long past time for that consideration, although Henry Olsen likely doesn’t disagree. He cites “progressives’ irresistible force” clashing against Joe Manchin’s immovable fiscal realism as an end stage, but that has been the clash all along. Neither side in this game of chicken appears ready to swerve, and therefore the inevitable crash will come. As could have been predicted at about the time that progressives called Manchin “racist,” but I digress slightly: It’s theoretically easy to meet Manchin’s bottom line by stripping most of the items out of the bill and focusing on one or two large programs.

Time Magazine isn’t exactly known for being a news outlet with a lot of love for the good guy. It often awards its “Person of the Year” title to people who are in vogue on the left. This is the magazine that declared Adolf Hitler was the winner in 1938, then named Joseph Stalin the winner the very next year. In 2011, they named “the protester” the person of the year, and then Greta Thunberg in 2019. To be sure, they’ve put their fair share of Republicans on the cover for the award,

In California, they’re trying to protect 3-year-olds. Or, alternately, they’re trying to protect themselves from 3-year-olds. Hence, anyone attending a San Jose Sharks hockey game will now enjoy the solace of knowing every toddler present has been either inoculated or negatively tested. On December 6th, the Sharks posted a COVID-19 revision at NHL.com. The team plays its home games at the SAP Center, formerly known as the San Jose Arena. “In accordance with an updated health and safety directive mandated by the State of California affecting ‘mega-events’ which includes concerts, sporting events, and other shows,”

Objectively, the news on the economy over the last few weeks has not been encouraging. November’s jobs report showed a miss of over 50%. Then yesterday’s inflation numbers dropped like a thermonuclear weapon on the White House’s narrative. After a week of colluding with the media and waging a PR war to try to convince people the economy is actually great, inflation was revealed to be 6.8%, the highest in 39 years. Naturally, the polling has shown significant disapproval with the situation, whether we are talking about Joe Biden personally or the right-track/wrong-track numbers.

Should people be punted from parties if their pigment is paltry? Such a question’s currently being publicly posed at a private liberal arts school in Pennsylvania. A December 2nd op-ed at Swarthmore College boasts a titillating title: “Should We Be Kicking White People Out of Parties?” Writer Sameer Halepoto notes that Caucasians are crowding soirees. And when whites are out and about, others are put out: Hosted by the Swarthmore Queer Union (SQU), Swarthmore African Student Association (SASA), Swarthmore ENLACE, and the Swarthmore African-American Student Society (SASS), the party at Paces the Saturday before Thanksgiving welcomed diversity more than most.

Get ready for a lot of panic but not a lot to panic about as reports show that Omicron, while being the latest variant, is the least threatening of the COVID-19 variants according to reports. According to the New York Times, the variant comes from South Africa where, despite spreading rapidly, seems to have little or no effect on those who contract it. Researchers in Pretoria sent reports that those with this variant of the Coronavirus are “much less sick” than previous patients. “In fact, they said, most of their infected patients were admitted for other reasons and have no Covid symptoms,” said the Times.

Recently I watched an interview of Glenn Loury, a black professor of economics from Brown University, done by Peter Robinson of the Hoover Institution. In it, he makes a remarkable statement quoting his friend Shelby Steele, himself a black English professor who now writes books commenting on current affairs. Loury quotes Steele to the effect that “the problem before [blacks in America] now is not a problem of oppression. It is a problem of freedom. It is a problem of seizing opportunity, the problem of taking responsibility.” It echoed within me as I have been thinking similar thoughts about the problem of freedom,

I regret to inform you that Dr. Anthony Fauci is upset. The most destructive domestic force during the COVID-19 pandemic, in my opinion, wants Lara Logan of Fox News to be disciplined. Why? Because Logan had the audacity to offend Fauci’s sensibilities with a Nazi comparison. Apparently, the rules have changed and now comparing a government official who has an authoritarian bent, dismisses constitutional concerns, and loves power to a member of the Third Reich is off-limits or something. Here was her comment, which requires a bit of nuance if you want to understand what she’s saying.

Inflation numbers for October 2020 to October 2021 came in at a staggering 6.2%. Much of that increase, of course, has occurred under this current administration. That number is up dramatically from the 2% inflation rate that was recorded from October 2019 to October 2020 during the Trump Administration. For many years, including during the Obama and Bush II years, inflation hovered around 2-3%. That was always the target the Federal Reserve set as their goal to keep the economy humming without it overheating and causing inflation. If you really want to see how dramatically inflation decreases your buying power, go on the internet and find an inflation calculator.
