Alabama sophomore quarterback Bryce Young won the 2021 Heisman Trophy on Saturday at the Jazz at Lincoln Center concert venue in New York City. “This is amazing,” Young said when his name was announced as the winner. He then thanked an array of people, from his parents to his coaches, for his success. Nearly 900 sports journalists, 57 living former Heisman Trophy winners and fans voted to determine the winner of the award, presented annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Young received 684 first-place votes. Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson finished second, Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett finished third and Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud finished fourth.

Definitely OP, but not until at least the end of next year and hopefully not for another year after that. He's only a sophomore and Coach Saban isn't wild about players opting for the draft too early. Roll Tide.

Well deserved. If he can avoid injury he could win it two more times. The Pitt QB Kenny Pickett will always be remembered for forcing a rule change about fake slides.

I’m a Tider and wish BY all the best. He has the heart and grit to play on the next level but not the frame. Tougher than Tua but not big enough to play consistently long term against defensive monster men in the Pros. Good luck to him, though. May he garner a high draft, bank big bucks, and get out without being carried out.

Pickett will be drafted #1. Young will be another failed Cleveland Browns draft choice. (The Browns - is that a racist name?- have a history of drafting QBs who watch their careers die.

It’s clear to anyone who is paying attention that the Biden administration is actively trying to cover up the truth regarding the cocaine that was found in the White House. Not only has the story as to where the cocaine was found changed multiple times, but the administration also curiously refuses to explicitly deny that the cocaine belonged to a Biden family member and hasn’t committed to fully prosecuting the responsible party. Meanwhile, the White House is aggressively setting expectations really low as to whether the culprit will ever be found and blasting the media for questioning

Gun control activist David Hogg likes to trot out every now and again that while he supports chipping away at the Second Amendment, he does like to shoot certain types of firearms because he grew up shooting. On Thursday, Hogg tweeted about how nobody needed a magazine that holds more than ten rounds. How does he know? Well, according to him, he has "pretty tight grouping" at 20 yards with a rifle. "If you need more than 10 rounds to hit something you need more range time or you need glasses, not a larger magazine. Hell, if you're that bad of a shot you're safer with a baseball bat

The World Economic Forum (WEF) isn’t the only entity planning for a world where you “own nothing, have no privacy” and enjoy it — or else. WEF’s partner Arup Group released a 2019 report pontificating, “private car ownership needs to end.” This was allegedly going to solve the fake “crisis” of climate change, which has supposedly been about to cause global apocalypse for 50 years now. But give up your car, you stupid peasant, and trust the experts. Arup Group, which is listed as a partner by the insidious World Economic Forum, released a 2019 report demanding that consumption of clothing, cars, electronics, and food has to change —

A California woman serving as a surrogate mother for a same-sex couple is claiming that the gay coupe who hired her demanded that she "immediately" "erase" the infant in the second trimester upon finding out she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, threatening her with legal action if she were to birth the baby prematurely or carry the child to term and place it up for adoption. 37-year-old Brittney Pearson, of Sacramento, told the Daily Mail that after undergoing a full-body MRI, which revealed the metastatic cancer's progression, the purchasing parents, who were paying her to carry the child, used legal threats

There will always be an England, goes the saying. But will there? If what’s happening to former party leader and Brexit champion Nigel Farage is any indication, that charming old axiom may have reached its sell-by date. In an editorial entitled “After my banking travails, I fear Britain is lost,” Farage tells a hair-raising tale of institutionalized political bigotry and discrimination. It combines the kind of systemic abuse once associated with Soviet rule but now sadly common in the United States with the sort of social credit tyranny one sees in China. “…We are living through the politicisation of our corporate sector.

I do this now because the concept of that country is, and has been for years, under assault by progressive politicians and activists who wrap themselves in the protections afforded all Americans

The last year has shown the power of a 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court. Conservatives had a 5-4 majority for years and were not able to overturn Roe v. Wade or get rid of affirmative action. Now, with a six-member majority, half of them appointed by former President Donald Trump, the conservative bloc on the Court has done both those things and more. Liberals are furious, they are outraged, they are depressed, they are hysterical -- they are experiencing any number of intense emotions as they realize they are helpless to stop a united conservative majority. Some are angry at Trump and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell,

Too bad. I wanted to eat at Burger King today, but I guess there won’t be anybody there to serve me.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has become the target of an unscrupulous attack by left-wing radicals who apparently feel that since they can’t alter the ideological makeup of the Supreme Court by winning elections, they’ll do it the old-fashioned way. They’ll use smears, lies, gross exaggerations, and false and hysterical charges of wrongdoing to force conservative justices off the court. Do you think it’s a coincidence that these attacks on Alito, Clarence Thomas, and Amy Coney Barrett are occurring when a Democratic president is in office? Meanwhile, the “charges” against these justices are laughable — so much so, that CNN buried the lead in its piece detailing the charges against Alito and Barrett:

The Coast Guard said the array of debris on the ocean floor, found 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic, meant the craft would have suffered a “catastrophic implosion,” sometime after it had been lost one hour and 45 minutes into its dive to the wreck, 12,500 feet below the surface on Sunday. An archbishop in the Church of England said the opening of the “Lord’s Prayer” is considered “problematic” to some people because the 2,000-year-old prayer starts by addressing God as “Our Father.” Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell told the General Synod, the legislating and ruling body of the Church of England, that referring to God as “father” might be offensive to some people because of the negative connotations of patriarchy. “I know the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have labored rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life,” Cottrell said,

Stein’s Law holds that “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.” The late Herbert Stein made the observation about economic trends, but his axiom perfectly describes Joe Biden’s shaky dance with political death. The president is trying to navigate a narrow path between two potential disasters. Each one could prove fatal to his tenure, but if the twain shall meet, he doesn’t have a prayer. And it’s a near certainty they will meet because the facts we already know are overwhelmingly stacked against him and more damaging information is coming soon. One track of his predicament stems from general public unhappiness with his performance.

Major legal rulings that dismantled the use of race in college admissions, undermined protections for LGBTQ people and tossed out President Joe Biden’s student debt relief program marked the end of a Supreme Court term in which the conservative supermajority continued to exert its dominance. The majority also doubled down on a controversial legal theory that limits the power of federal agencies to take unilateral action. Meanwhile, the justices rejected a far-fetched argument that would have limited the role of state courts in election disputes and turned away an aggressive attempt to challenge Biden administration immigration policy – both areas in which lawyers on the right might have overreached in their arguments.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was slammed for bowing multiple times when she met with China's vice premier He Lifeng, as some critics say the protocol error is a sign of American weakness. Yellen, who served as chair of the Federal Reserve before becoming Joe Biden's top financial official, wrapped up her first visit to China as treasury secretary on Sunday. Moments after bowing at least three times, Yellen then stumbled over He's name, calling him 'Vice Premier Hu.' Both Washington and Beijing said the meetings during her four-day trip were fruitful, although the visit - designed to help smooth a rocky relationship - did not generate any concrete agreements.
