The doomed Titanic sub would have imploded and killed its crew so fast the five people aboard “never knew it happened,” an expert in submersibles told The Post. Debris from the OceanGate Expeditions’ Titan submersible was found Thursday, confirming all those aboard had perished. The Coast Guard said the array of debris on the ocean floor, found 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic, meant the craft would have suffered a “catastrophic implosion,” sometime after it had been lost one hour and 45 minutes into its dive to the wreck, 12,500 feet below the surface on Sunday. Comments:

Tragic. I hope that after this, people will finally let the victims of the Titanic, including these newest, rest in peace.

According to the news reports today, the Pentagon has admitted they picked up the sound of an explosion days ago and just didn't tell anybody about it. My level of disgust and anger towards this administration now knows no bounds. To make the families of the victims stay in hades for days, not knowing about their men is unconscionable to any decent and caring person alive. I cannot wait for the excuses and tap dancing that is going to happen when the blowback and fury start.

Your post echoes my thoughts exactly, OP. Thank you for posting the article. Titanic’s ghostly remains were finally discovered over 38 years ago. There was much excitement, of course, but I remember then and since a general opinion that this was a graveyard that should be respected as such and left alone. I hope this tragedy will finally force a common agreement to do just that. God bless all the families of the deceased and I hope knowing how quickly heir loved ones died will offer some comfort to their hearts.

Buckling failures are instantaneous. The structure holds the load until it can't, and then it catestrophically collapses. The forces are so high on the structure that motion would literally be like a bullet in a handgun barrel, the pieces accelerating inward in milliseconds. Unlikely that they even perceived it before they were just destroyed. Sad outcome, but the vehicle seemed like a pretty shaky lash up. I had heard one report that the sub had never been below 3,000 meters (9,840 ft), but some have told me that they "heard" it had been 'all the way down three previous times', apparently to 12,600 ft. I'd like to know the truth of this. It will be useful to recover the pieces of the hull and try to understand what failed, to better understand what errors were made, to avoid them in the future.

For the sake of these poor souls, I am grateful that they did not have to contemplate their deaths for four days while freezing and slowly running out of air. I grieve for all of them, but especially the teenager who was far too young to die. RIP.

I don’t think there are any villains in this story. If we reread the first 6 words of post #2 we might consider them an antidote to any anger directed m at the Pentagon on this particular issue. We know they heard an implosion but how they behaved and why are pure speculation. I’m a person with a heart for exploration. Why were the victims there? Were they gawkers or ghouls? Why do people climb Mt. Everest? Why do they visit Normandy or Antietam? They too are graveyards but also things of majesty. So is the Titanic to millions of people who have been fascinated by its story. The rickety bucket coverage of the submersible is compelling but it can also be seen as a pretext for endless story milking. In short, wait for facts to emerge and think your own minds in this and everything else. The media is crap.

This reminds me of the experiment in a high school science class where we collapsed a soda can and other containers by removing the air. It was indeed quick. Faster than a blink of an eye. Most containers became flat.

In courthouses where cameras aren't allowed, the courthouse artist produces the image of record. That is why assorted leftists exploded in rage at the bland courthouse drawings of William Hennessey, Jr., who up until now has said his work rarely draws any attention. According to Jack Montgomery at the National Pulse: Leftists raged at an obscure sketch artist following Trump's arraignment in Miami, seething that the former president looked too young and handsome in his courtroom drawings. "The courtroom sketch artist, William Hennessy [J]r., is far too kind to [Donald Trump]," wrote one Twitter user. The New York Times reported that at the fundraiser, Biden “set off into what appeared to be an unplanned riff” about the spy balloon incident, “revealing what United States intelligence agencies had learned about the internal confusion in Beijing during the incident.” According to the Times, Biden told about 130 guests in attendance at the fundraiser:

The shooting happened Monday afternoon as two undercover officers were inside a vehicle and trying to catch a suspect in an unrelated investigation when they were approached by a man in his 20s armed with a gun who attempted to carjack them, Interim Police Chief Jackie Gwinn-Villaroel told news outlets. One of the officers shot the man with his service weapon and both officers provided medical aid, Gwinn-Villaroel said, but the suspect died from his injuries.

Joe Biden was again at his beach house in Delaware for more vacation over the weekend. He then left there on Monday and flew to Santa Clara County, California, to deliver remarks about climate change and the environment. He’s later scheduled to go to a campaign reception. At his climate remarks were Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA) and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (who some think may be pushing something of a shadow campaign to take over if Biden can’t continue his campaign). But the time in Delaware doesn’t seem to have rejuvenated him. What he said prompted more calls for him to step aside and for people to invoke the 25th Amendment.

The federal bureaucracy is a smoldering smorgasbord of corruption, incompetence, and pride flag-waving wokeness, and the big questions for the next Republican president are where to start fixing it and how. There are a few things that need to happen day one to begin imposing our iron discipline upon the out-of-control derp state – pardons for every persecuted victim of the two-tiered “justice” system, orders to comply with all GOP investigatory subpoenas immediately, and firing Chris Wray. But defeating the unofficial fourth branch of government requires focus and intensity. You cannot take it down overnight because it will fight back with support from the regime media.

And according to Renzi himself, in exclusive comments to PJ Media, there’s evidence tying Smith to illegal wiretaps, jury influencing, payoffs for false testimony, and other highly questionable behavior. The newly published allegations led Donald Trump to call Smith “deranged.” Renzi was convicted on bribery and extortion charges, to which he pleaded “not guilty,” and was later given a full presidential pardon by Trump.

The US Navy revealed that they knew the Titan submersible, which was diving to see the remains of the Titanic wreck, imploded on Sunday. We have sonar detection and acoustic networks for our national defense, and this classified system picked up the moment when this craft and the five people inside it perished. So, why did we waste an inordinate amount of time rushing to rescue people some in the government knew to be dead? The Coast Guard, Canadian military units, and unmanned submersibles from France that can go to these extreme depths joined the rescue effort that covered at least 10,000 square miles.
