Saule Omarova, Biden’s Nominee to Oversee

Saule Omarova, President Biden’s nominee to oversee large national banks, withdrew from consideration on Tuesday, amid opposition from Republicans and moderate Democrats who had sought to block her nomination, the White House said. “I have accepted Saule Omarova’s request to withdraw her name from nomination,” President Biden said Tuesday, saying he would look for a new nominee. Mr. Biden last month nominated Ms. Omarova, a Cornell University law professor, to be Comptroller of the Currency, which supervises many of the biggest U.S. lenders including JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Wells Fargo & Co. Ms. Omarova’s earlier calls for shrinking big banks and creating a much bigger role for the Federal Reserve

Comments:

Great news. This literal hard core Moscow trained soviet Communist will NOT be in position to destroy our banking system.

The author's dimwittedly bland "They have said she envisions an overly large role for the government that they say would crimp business, even at community lenders, a powerful constituency that lobbied against her nomination." Is like saying that Stalin "may not be as supportive of the kulaks as they would like". If this is WSJ today.....they are just BARELY to the right of center today. How sad.

If Republicans would learn from this -- that if they stand together in solidarity, they will win -- then they would win a lot more often. But, far too often, they fold under the pressure of not being seen as "playing nice" and give the Demon-Rats whatever they want. Playing nice just makes you look as weak as you are. Winning makes you look strong, which you normally are. Wake up, Republicans!!!

Sen. Kennedy gave her at least 5 opportunities to disavow communism - she chose not to. In 1970 International Marxists abandoned the proletariat for environmentalism as the moral justification for communism, with a centrally planned command economy as the cornerstone. Omarova dutifully cited "climate change" as the moral justification for her support for...a centrally planned command economy. The Democrat party should be outlawed on the basis of sedition and violation of the oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States". Omarova's nomination is solid evidence.

Last night I heard a Democrat Senator defending Omarova as being attacked by Republicans just because she grew up in the Soviet Union and they had a few policy differences with her. He felt that they did not approach her views and policy ideas with an open mind because of her past statements and writings & comments. He felt that she would be an excellent candidate to run our monetary policy. Of course the Democrat felt that way. She would run our monetary policy right into the ground, destroying private bank accounts before our very eyes.

A big part of the "Great Reset" is its orchestrated campaign to condition people into believing they have no natural rights separate from and paramount to the mandates of government. Most neoliberal nations no longer talk about the global ideological struggle once pitting "free" and "controlled" states against each other. Why? Because that distinction makes little sense when Australia is hunting down citizens for fleeing its quarantine concentration camps and Finland is putting Christianity on trial. I'm trying to remember...who won the Cold War again? Instead of admitting that they are waging war against free speech, Western governments claim that they are protecting their people

In covering the motions hearing last week in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, I noted a surprising comment from Judge Bruce Schroeder that he had "spent hours" with the Wisconsin gun law and could not state with certainty what it means in this case. The statement could effectively knock out the misdemeanor gun possession count – the one count that could still be in play for the jury after the prosecution's case on the more serious offense appeared to collapse in court. A close examination of that provision reveals ample reason to question not just its meaning but its application to this case.
