With a massive build of Russian troops near Ukraine’s border, Russia’s Vladimir Putin is indicating a willingness to risk a military conflict, but analysts say while the threat is serious, an invasion is not certain.
The threat of an invasion will be the central subject of President Biden’s video call with Putin on Tuesday. Biden is expected to warn of dire consequences should Russia follow through with a military offensive, while Putin is expected to reiterate his ultimatum that NATO should not allow Ukraine to join its military alliance.
The outcome of the video call could have major implications as Putin weighs the potential costs of a full-fledged invasion of Ukraine.

So the invasion is all but certain, then?

I would love to hear that call. Vladimir, please don't do that or I'll say bad things about you. And if you invade, try to do it quietly so the people in my country maybe won't notice if I tell Jen to say it didn't happen. Or something like that.

This is looking like a WWE promo contest where the 'rasslers threaten and otherwise woof to get their fans all worked up...with plenty of good seats still available. Here's how it works:
Putin puts troops at the Ukrainian border. Biden demands what? No invasion, or...who knows what. NATO isn't mobilizing for the Ukes. (Let me know when the first Dutch division is dispatched. The Germans will send schnitzelwagens and medical support.) So, Putin demands NATO not include Ukraine, perhaps some other concessions. Biden agrees...both look like "statesmen" and now Biden has an ACCOMPLISHMENT as a smart foreign policy "expert", while Putin appears reasonable on the world stage and still a tough guy for domestic consumption.
It also puts a bee in Xi's bonnet as these two adversaries prove they can "reason together". There goes his Taiwan invasion, if one was eer in the books.

Are we going to give Putin $80 billion of free American military hardware to help the invasion go faster and smoother?
If it's over faster that will save lives! Think of the children, it takes a bill to invade a neighbor and cut off EU energy supplies.

“Vladimir, if you don’t invade, your family can have that incredibly lucrative position with that Ukrainian gas utility. Come on, man, you know that thing that I was renegotiating for Hunter until you put troops on the border. It’s a no show job that Hunter was to be perfect for. $2 million or more per year.”
Seriously, I have this vision of comedian Tom Shillue of “Gutfeld” acting as Creepy Joe on the call.

"Putin on the Blitz"
Isn't going to happen, was never going to happen...but NOW when it doesn't happen, Biden will claim that HE stopped it.
(While he has Putin on the phone though, he will beg for and trade for some Oil Concessions stuff, "I let you have that pipeline, C'mon Man")

Obama told us he would mess everything up. I didn't think he would do it so soon.
There's no reason for us to be in this fight. Biden has big financial interest in Ukraine. Our young people don't need to die for such folly.
The greedy bankers and weapons makers have big appetites. They are counting on Biden and Congress to set the table.

Why would we care about the Ukraine? NATO stood down while the US government was taken over by a Marxist junta, and they're OK with our being invaded by foreign nationals streaming across our southern border.

Are these the same anaylsts who said that the Afgan army could hold back the Taliban?
Are these the same analysts who say the Iranians are unable to make nuclear boms under the Obama agreement?
Are these the same analysts who told us we needed 15 days to stop the spread of COVID?
If so, then Ukraine is doomed.

I love all the folks saying "Putin won't invade".
Putin ALREADY invaded eastern Ukraine and took it over, never going to give it back, got no significant "punishment". Now he's back for the rest of the country. What in the world would stop him from adding this next 'puzzle piece' to the map of the Soviet Union which he has vowed to reassemble? NOTHING to stop him except Ukrainian's fighting, and without external support in supplies and weapons, they can't hold out long.

The idiots that are really running the Biden “presidency”, will be listening in and telling him what to say; that way they can continue to demolish the United States standing in the world.

If Russia moves into the Ukraine at the same time that China tries to seize Taiwan, what would Biden do? Declare WWIII, or settle for the payouts both regime would offer to look the other way.
