It’s funny watching a Kennedy struggle

I’ve never been a fan of the Kennedy mystique. When I think of John F. Kennedy, aside from the fact that I enjoy reminding Democrats that he would be a Republican now, I think of compulsive womanizing, massive drug cocktails, and the disastrous Bay of Pigs fiasco. My thoughts about Teddy Kennedy are even worse. With him, it’s a fake neck brace and Mary Jo Kopechne slowly suffocating in a car lodged in shallow water. I also think of his waitress sandwiches. With those images in mind, I had to laugh (along with a lot of other people) when Maria Shriver, Teddy’s niece, announced on Twitter that she had no idea

Comments:

Oh my, but isn't Maria Shriver Schwarzenegger a stupid one?

To anyone who was ever smitten by the Kennedy mystique as I was as a young boy in the 1960s I recommend Seymour Hitch’s book The Darl Side of Camelot - it will open your eyes to what a terrible group of people the Kennedys are. At least Mafia families have a code of honor. The Kennedys are selfish, self serving and amoral.

Great rebuttals to her ridiculous tweet! I assume that neither she nor her 20-something son watched the trial and are instead watching/reading mainstream media where it is still being reported that Kyle took an assault rifle across state lines and that he chased and gunned down heroic, peaceful BLM "protesters"!

They would not be the powerhouse political dynasty in MA if it were not for Old Joe Kennedy. He was a wheeler dealer, always out for a deal to benefit the family. When he had the honor of being the Ambassador to Britain during the war, he even tried to negotiate with the Nazis in such a way it benefited his family. From that to lobotomizing his daughter Rosemary without his wife's knowledge, he was true evil. It all got passed onto his sons, who then passed it on to their kids. He didn't have an easy passing after that stroke left him wheelchair bound, and he deserved that and worse. Maria was raised in a lifestyle that meant women were supposed to tolerate and ignore their husband's cheating, as long as they were discrete. Arnold was not discrete, he slept with the Housekeeper and they had a kid. How oblivious would Maria have to have been to not have noticed a pregnancy from her Housekeeper? She was a trophy wife, and that is all she will ever be known as. She certainly wasn't one of the better NBC reporters given her stories.

The book to which #1 refers, The Dark Side of Camelot, was written by Seymour (Sy) Hersh, and it was an interesting read--to say the least!--when I encountered it on its first printing. The Kennedys didn't think much of it, but the author had good sources. What floored me about Maria's tweet is that she equates being charged with being convicted and sent to the hoosegow. Pray that her ilk never takes complete control. In her America, if you get charged, you disappear, because you're obviously guilty. Forget the Constitution. Hell, the Kenosha prosecutors had never heard of Miranda v. Arizona or the Fifth Amendment. Can 'em both. There's nothing royal about the Kennedys.

I explained to her that Rittenhouse actually was charged, but when evidence was presented and cross-examined, he was found not guilty by the jury. The prosecutor made the charges without the evidence and bowed to the liberals. I hated to be condescending (that means talking down to others) because she and her youngest son (a dolt) apparently did not see the testimony of sworn witnesses that supported the defense. One man, the one that was shot) admitted under oath that he was shot only after he raised his semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at Rittenhouse. Then, I had to explain in simple terms what self-defense is. I told her to suppose that Mildred (a made up name) had an 8 inch knife and was moving in on her with a menacing posture. If Maria had a 10 inch knife, would she let Mildred gut her like a fish? Or, would she defend herself? If she defended herself, thinking that she was in fear of losing her life (she had already taken Arnold’s testicles) it would be legally and morally acceptable to do so. I didn’t want to get into specifics, but used a hypothetical situation so she could relate. Mildred had already bedded the husband (a wild-eyed supposition) , and Maria did not know her motive. Was it to take Maria’s life in order to ruin her family/. Or would Mildred have tried to force herself onto Maria, and complete her “sleep with her employers BINGO card? Now, if Rittenhouse saw the threat, the gun pointed at him, what was he to suppose? It’s silly. The events and people in this post are completely made up. I drew a fictitious name out of a Panama hat, and if there is any resemblance perceived or real, to any person at all, it is purely accidental.

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve, created following the oil crisis of the 1970s, exists to supply Americans during a war or other emergency. Democrats are now calling for oil to be released from the reserve to help reduce the high gas prices that they themselves have created. This is not an emergency unless you believe that the loss of Democrat seats in the 2022 midterm election constitutes an emergency. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve currently holds 638 million barrels, approximately 1,000 days of net petroleum imports — but far, far less (only 32 days worth) of total domestic demand of 20 million barrels per day.

As the recent election results in Virginia and New Jersey showed, Democrats have a growing problem with rural and working-class voters. They also have a problem with Latino voters and independents and non-college-educated women. That’s a lot of problems that they need to solve before 2022, or risk a historic midterm rebuke that could cost them both chambers of Congress as well as multiple state Houses and county and municipal contests from coast to coast. The reasons for these defections are numerous, with most of the post-election analysis focused on schools (and wedge issues such as “critical race theory”), the economy (rising inflation) and the response to the Covid pandemic.
