On the Brink of Triumph, Green Faces Its Nemesis

The global energy shortage is making Green look like a failure, laments the New York Times, even as politicians meet to enshrine it. “Some governments across the continent now fear that higher heating bills this winter could bolster populists in upcoming national elections in several countries. Hungary has claimed that rising gas prices are linked to the European Union’s climate ambitions, which its prime minister, Viktor Orban, decried as ‘utopian fantasy.’ Poland, a major coal producer that has never been a fan of the European Commission’s emissions-reductions targets, has pressed Brussels to change or delay some of its proposed measures.” But it’s not Green’s fault.

Well Duh, and those who want the commie state globally should fear that very reaction from those who are sick to death of the tyranny of the stupid they are trying to push. So much ignorance in the green movement, it is both sad and amusing.

I can't stop laughing. The reason Britain doesn't have enough wind to run windmills is climate change. Likely then the reason all of Texas' windmills iced up and froze last winter is climate change. MAYBE Glasgow should spend 2 weeks discussing how to keep from being blamed for their own STUPIDITY.

FTA, "The present and the future belong to renewable energies and we cannot solve a crisis caused precisely by dependence on fossil fuels by looking to the past,” Teresa Ribera, its deputy prime minister and a longtime climate advocate, said in an email." Now this is dripping in irony. So she wants us to blast into the 21s century by improving failed 16th century technology (windmills). The 'progressives' are stuck on stone age mentality.

Oh what a tangled web we weave...Buried in the weeds here is...worlds 5th largest pension fund, (Dutch Teachers and Civil servants) is dis-investing from Oil/Gas...yet Royal Dutch/Shell(a NATIONALIZED Oil/Gas megacorp) is paying most of the Bills. Curioser still is that though the pension is "for" Dutch Teachers and civil servants, the "Fund" is now wholly owned by.... The Carlyle group. Calpers, the Calif. govt employees pension fund, Americas LARGEST pension fund, exclusively managed by Calif Executive(Gavin Newsome) owns 5.5% of The Carlyle group. Oh..by the way. Glenn Younkin? This is a fabricated article, based on nothing but someone's imaginings. The oil and gas companies are able to get funding, and have plenty of it. And the green energy is failing. Texas has days when they have to turn the electricity off. It isn't rolling turnoffs. This is the first time that has happened since the 1920's. The green energy is no energy most of the time. And the electric cars are toys purchased by the well of, not by those that need reliable transportation.

Democrats are questioning whether President Joe Biden can lead the party to victory in a 2024 presidential election as his polling collapse continues. Ten months into office and inflation on the rise, supply chain woes leaving shelves empty, and disappointing economic growth, voters say the country's future looks bleak. Democratic priorities on immigration and voting rights are stalled. Biden's promised legislative packages, including a bipartisan infrastructure bill popular with swing-district Democrats and a social spending package, remain stalled. “People are upset, people are frustrated … Voters see things getting worse,” Democratic pollster Celinda Lake said while discussing the results of Georgetown University’s latest Battleground and Civility Poll

The jailing of the Jan. 6 riot defendants is not just an obvious miscarriage of justice, given the length of time they've spent in detention without trial. It's also turning into something that's full Soviet. Here's the latest from one Judge Amy B. Jackson, who, after denying release at least once to one guy, went ahead and let him out. He's a Buffalo, New York-based defendant named Thomas Sibnick, who's recanted: WASHINGTON — A federal judge reversed her bond decision Tuesday for a Capitol riot defendant accused of robbing a D.C. The FBI told Indiana Republican Rep. District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies told the New York Times that officials are still investigating and “haven’t ruled out anything” on whether charges could be filed. Last week, actor Alec Baldwin was rehearsing a scene on the set of the Western film near Santa Fe when he discharged a loaded gun, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza. All over the world, great power governments are struggling with their respective tech giants for control of the social media platforms. China’s ongoing crackdown on big tech is the most conspicuous. “Take Jack Ma, founder of the e-commerce giant Alibaba.” The Party called the billionaire in, told him his forthcoming IPO was illegal, and served notice that any new initiatives would need the regulators’ approval. Russia’s not far behind. Moscow sees Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon as a threat and wants them replaced by “sufficiently pliable domestic entities — such as Russia’s large tech conglomerates like Yandex, VK, and Sber.”

That won't go over well in Jersey City or Weehawken.
