Wisconsin Judge Bruce Schroeder took some criticism Thursday after requesting during the Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial in Kenosha that attendees applaud for the nation’s service members on Veterans Day. During a moment in the day’s proceedings, Schroeder asked if any veterans were present in the courtroom. Only John Black, a use-of-force expert who was later called to the witness stand by the defense, claimed to have served in the military, identifying himself as an Army veteran, The Associated Press reported. "I think we give a round of applause to the people who’ve served our country," Schroeder then said, drawing a

We need to split this country in two... I don't know how you would do that, maybe county to county, having red counties be Conservative (Not Republican) and have the blue counties be Leftist/Fascist, each governing to their constituents. The Leftist/Fascists would be begging for our laws and our money within 2 weeks and we would smugly hold up one special finger and say, "Let's Go Brandon".

If he did the same on Mother's Day, the left would be offended that he did refer to mothers as 'birthing people'. How about FJB's reference to Satchel Paige? Whoa! The constant, selective outrage is tiresome.

It was a mistake. As an arbitrator, I once told a grievant that she looked just like Mary Tyler Moore. She did. And she lost her case, but I shouldn't have said it. I'm most surprised that in a crowded courtroom., there was just one veteran.

#1, no. The commies don't get one square inch of this Republic. They can leave or get buried. If you try to split, they will simply infiltrate and subvert the remaining constitutional areas and several generations from now the call will go out to separate, again, and the commies wind up with their previous half, plus half of the remaining Republic. That's what they've done over the past century, here. That's a non-starter and should not even be considered. They should be declared the traitors and domestic enemies of the constitution they are and give 90 days to leave (for those scared of conflict), after which, those found here can be caught dead or alive for deportation or burial. There are any number of countries that practice the kind of government they profess to prefer, and they can go there instead of corrupting the greatest nation on this planet, which is what they have been doing. The commies are counting on the general populace being unmotivated sheeple who will shy away from the potential bloody conflict the commies have amped up their ignorant fellow travelers to expect. Look at how they try to over-awe the general populace with the J6 politically motivated, illegal incarceration and kangaroo-court sentences. Or the Rittenhouse farcical trial. The kid should have been given a medal. Or the Chauvin kangaroo court trial. The commies know they are over-matched and out-numbered, though they control the propaganda outlets, which convince the foolish and apathetic that they are the ones over-matched and out-numbered. The only good commie is a dead commie. Our ancestors knew that quite well. The locally grown red-diaper babies have infiltrated and convinced too many that is not the case.

I want everyone to know. That young man was not crying, he was having a PTSD flashback. He was literally back in that riot living in terror as the mob of democrats terrorized him. I am certified 100 percent by two different shrinks and the VA. PTSD is what you saw. It is not crying, it is a mental lockdown. He couldn't breath, he couldn't talk. He was demobilized. Sean Hannity and the media ought to be sued for showing this over and over. For the rest of his life he will not understand why he reacts to certain things and people. I am so saddened for him. It can destroy you and all relationships.

I'm a veteran. I support honoring veterans. But I disagree with Judge Schroeder's decision here. He knows full well that the irrational left is focusing on his every move, every word, every grimace in this trial. Why give them further ammunition--er, excuse--to criticize and devalue the trial? If, as some have speculated, the prosecution may be looking for a mistrial so they can have a do-over against Kyle, why give them a gratuitous excuse?

Now I REALLY like this guy. It is veterans and like-minded people who will eventually set this country back on course. Our skill set will be a requirement and that's why the scared rabbits of the left call us domestic terrorists. The people who attacked Rittenhouse are all like the basement-dwelling moron who pulled a pistol on somebody who was holding an AR-15. The appropriate phrase is "use it or lose it."

PARIS —Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg started his week in the White House press briefing room promoting a crown jewel of President Biden’s legislative agenda — a landmark public works package that recently passed with bipartisan support. He explained how the legislation would benefit communities of color, where he found little support when he ran for president. Later, the former mayor touted the plan at the COP26 climate summit in Scotland, enjoying a global spotlight. And he posed for photos with former president Barack Obama, smiling as the popular ex-president rested a hand rested on Buttigieg’s shoulder. At the same time

The mood was somber in the ballroom at Hilton Hasbrouck Heights. More than 200 Democrats had gathered the night of the election in expectation of landslide party victories across the board. Instead, they watched the unthinkable happen as results rolled in and county Democratic candidates were losing in every race. As Vermont reports higher than ever COVID-19 case rates, state health officials have been trying to understand why. How can a state that did so well during the first part of the pandemic — even garnering national recognition — be doing so much worse now? "There is not one simple answer," said Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine during a news conference Tuesday. "But, there are clearly factors that have come together to create the situation that we're in now." Slowing the spread is critical right now to prevent Vermont's hospitals from being overwhelmed with people sick with the virus, Levine said.

HELENA, Mont. — A new map dividing Montana into two congressional districts for the first time in decades was finalized Tuesday, triggering disappointment from Democrats who hoped to craft a different western district that would give them a better chance of winning in an increasingly Republican-dominated state.
