The White House on Friday said that rising gas prices proved that the federal government should spend more on green energy.“The rise in gas prices over the long term makes an even stronger case for doubling down our investment and our focus on clean energy options,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during the daily briefing.Psaki acknowledged that the White House had suspended oil and gas leases on federal lands, but clarified that existing leases were still able to produce.

If this nut was outwardly acknowledged to have been installed by a foreign government (after an invading army overthrew the US government in a war, instead of having a junta seize control silently), and announced to us that they were going to keep right on stealing our money through runaway inflation and making us miserable through manufactured scarcity in which we will freeze in the dark and we will like it, what do you suppose the reaction in the streets would be? Keep in mind that the USA has not won a war since 1945.

See also "Jen Psaki says inflation impacting millions has become a 'political cudgel' and insists soaring gas prices makes a 'stronger case for doubling down' on clean energy"; we are a nation of chumps and fools.

The WH should not spend anything on green energy. That is not their job. We have plenty of companies and investors in this country to take care of the energy problem.

Their disastrous creation of the problem is only exceeded by their costly impractical boondoggle of a solution.
Guess I'm not clever enough to see how I can drive an electric car across the country on a tank of gas and limited charging stations.

First, there should be no "federal lands" outside of the District of Columbia.

Cool. Bring on nuclear power. Just think of all the construction jobs and stable jobs afterwards that'll be made once they're all built.

Are they out of their f****g minds? More electric cars need more electricity. Who or what is going to produce that? Windmills? You’d have to feed Poopy Pants an awful lot of beans to get that much wind!

Folks, this is the whole reason they are deliberately screwing up the supply of oil and gas. So they can make this argument and put it into effect. That is the plan.

As all things from Biden the opposite is the case.
Since gas is getting much expensive, alternates need less of a subsidy to compete against gas.
Of course the goal of the left is to price gas so high no one could afford it except the rich.

They are INTENTIONALLY driving up fuel prices to try to make those joke electrics, which are super expensive, short ranged toys competitive with normal cars.

I liked it better with Trump when we had energy dominance. Greatest period in our history until the NIH funded the CCP creation of Covid-19 recombinant virus in Wuhan to destroy Trump and the American Nation. I don’t want Globalism and Build Back Better. I love America as is.
