“Intellectual life is undermined by the alliance of two messianisms, Islamism and a left whose main activity is to track down ill-thinkers. An intellectual life where it is no longer a question of deciding between error and truth, but between good and evil ”. Thus, in Le Figaro, the great French historian Georges Bensoussan defines the "hold" of Islamism on public opinion. His "fault" four years ago was declaring on the radio that Muslim immigrants absorb anti-Semitism from an early age like mother's milk. Since then, for the editorial director of the Memorial of the Shoah in Paris the caudine gallows of trials and ad personam attacks have opened.

Comments:

Some cultures are more tolerant than others. Unfortunately, "multiculturalism" doesn't recognize that fact.

Why do you think France hasn't run the barbarians out? The French have a long streak of Jew hatred - it is as ingrained in their culture as it was in most of Europe pre-WWII.

Poverty caused diaspora among many nations; my ancestors came to America due to the Scots-Irish potato famine. It would upset my dad if I said, ''Are we Scots, or are we Irish?'' We were too busy helping form this nation to form a Formal Grievance Association to kvetch about our conditions. The only handouts my ancient folks got was free air. Everything else was hard earned. With the Jews, everyplace they have ever landed that wasn't the promised land has tried to toss them out. I love it when the Almighty gob-smacks those nations. So I just keep on praying for the peace of Jerusalem.

Monica Lewinsky says that her thoughts of suicide during the Clinton investigation led her to ask independent counsel Ken Starr's legal team what would happen if she died — and now, years later, she is shocked that no one considered seemed concerned enough to do anything about it. The 48-year-old discussed the toll that the investigation and the subsequent public shaming took on her mental health in a new episode of David Axelrod's CNN podcast 'The Axe Files,' describing the aftermath of her affair with then-President Bill Clinton as a 'tumultuous' time that had her thinking about ending her life.

An interesting discussion between two of the world’s prominent voices Geert Vanden Bossche, expert vaccine developer (Belgium); and Robert Malone MD, the inventor of mRNA vaccines (USA). The meeting is hosted by Dr. Phillip McMillan (UK), who previously interviewed Vanden Bossche and Malone on separate occasions. This video interview is an update on the prior conversations and predictions, along with a discussion by the two leading voices in the scientific community who urge caution. Vanden Bossche takes the current Israeli data and shows how the widespread vaccination rate is creating pressure on the virus to mutate into variants with higher levels of contagion.  CORRECTION*

Most people haven’t heard of James Zimmermann, but most have heard him. A decorated musician with a long string of acoustic accolades, Zimmermann, 39, has made the sound of his clarinet difficult to avoid. He played at President Barack Obama’s second inaugural, has recorded tracks for best-selling video games, and helped create Walt Disney World’s new theme. Zimmermann was also the principal clarinetist of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra for more than a decade—that is, until the orchestra fired him last February over accusations of racial harassment.

According to Department of Defense data, Fox News’s Bret Baier reported, that makes it “THE deadliest (hostile) day for US troops since an August 5, 2011 helicopter attack” and therefore “THE deadliest attack in more than a decade.”

More than four in 10 patients hospitalised with the Delta variant in England may have been admitted for something else, MailOnline's analysis of official data suggests. Public Health England's fortnightly update on coronavirus strains circulating around the country showed 7,285 people had spent at least one night in hospital with the mutant virus by August 15. But it admitted as many as 3,154 (43 per cent) had likely come to A&E for 'a diagnosis unrelated to Covid' and tested positive later through routine swabbing.

Frustration over the mostly feckless national Republican Party is nothing new. Those of us on the political right have few electoral options given our two-party system. In some elections, the choice is stark and easy, as when Reagan or Trump were at the top of the ticket. Other years saw names like McCain or Romney on the ticket and many of us held our noses voting Republican only because it was the better of two lousy choices. The leftist agenda moves forward regardless of who is elected, at the presidential or congressional level, the only difference being the speed of decline.

Three glistening new buildings in downtown Seattle with 165 studio apartments — originally to be rented at market rates — will instead house the homeless. The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is buying the buildings with taxpayer dollars for about $50 million, with federal COVID-19 relief funds splitting the cost equally. Seattle City Hall is contributing about $25 million, while also using “American Rescue Plan Act” funds. A large portion comes from Washington State’s Department of Commerce. Left-wing Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, so unpopular she can’t run for re-election, claims the deals will house people quickly and cheaply, compared to the time and cost required to develop similar projects from scratch.

Have we ever had a president who in mere months made so many dumb, intemperate decisions, thereby precipitating major crises? Biden is a nightmare version of Pig-Pen of the Peanuts comic strip.. A perpetual cloud of incompetence, conceits, corruption, and shabby political motives swirls around him. "He of course was aware, the president, of the French being displeased about the deal with the Australians. John Kerry also speaks regularly to the French as part of his role as the climate envoy. "A person’s right under the Constitution to choose to obtain an abortion prior to fetal viability is well established. Fully aware that depriving its citizens of this right by direct state action would be flagrantly unconstitutional, the State contrived an unprecedented and transparent statutory scheme to do just that," U.S. District Judge Robert Pittman, of the Western District of Texas, Austin Division, wrote in a 113-page ruling.

It should be obvious that no sane parent would ever allow ideology to supersede the proper education of her children. Yet, during the past year, it has become equally clear that many of the nation’s school systems are indoctrinating students using politically tendentious curricula that most of the public considers . . . well . . . insane. This has resulted in widespread protests by parents of all political persuasions to which school boards have responded with stunning hostility. The magnitude of this animus was revealed this week when the National School Boards Association (NSBA) equated parents with “domestic terrorists,” and the Biden administration directed the FBI to investigate them.
