CALIFORNIA – According to a report from NPR, officials in California are reportedly exploring a potential wide-scale offering to combat meth addiction: paying individuals to stop using drugs. While it’s a bit of a rudimentary explanation of what’s being entertained, that’s essentially what the state may pursue to counteract addiction running rampant within the state. [Tweet] Most would agree that drug addiction – especially in the realm of opioids and methamphetamines – is bad all around: bad for individuals, bad for families, and bad for communities since addiction can often have a domino effect that leads to crimes that cause tangible harm. There’s a guy in our small town who’s family sold their farmland and he received about $45,000 as his share. He was a meth head at the time. This was about 2 years ago. He doesn’t have one cent left and is homeless. Or in jail, he goes back and forth. Meth is highly addictive. It’s not for lack of means these people are drug addicts. This is beyond stupid and just a waste of taxpayer money.

Instead of paying drug addicted people to not use drugs, how about helping normal non-addicted people who are having problems affording their physician prescribed, medically necessary, legally obtained, prescription medications when they cannot afford them due to no health insurance or way too high deductibles & co-pays! As usual, the government seems to want to reward the deviants or non-workers who already get government assistance with more assistance to not do something that they should not do anyway. Meanwhile, those of us who work and struggle to honestly pay our bills, meet obligations, and do things legally, continue to be expected to support these government dependent slugs. I'm tired of doing that!

Let me see if I understand this: Methamphetamine addicts, who steal from and cheat their own families, pull all kinds of crooked scams and even resort to violence and murder to sustain their habits are going to stop using for a "small sum of money" because it raises their self-esteem? I'll believe it not when the government report comes out but when Project Veritas confirms it.

One of the wonders of the modern age is that fossil fuel allows us to avoid freezing in the winter and overheating in the summer. Climate change fanatics, however, who ignore that the Earth's climate has cycled endlessly between hot and cold for billions of years, desperately want to return us to a pre-modern state. Their efforts are paying off, for the U.S. government is warning of a 54% increase in winter heating bills. Upon entering the Oval Office, Biden immediately shut down the Keystone Pipeline and ended new drilling on federal lands. While Trump had brought America to energy independence and affordable energy, Biden reduced America to

During the 2020 election, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg spent hundreds of millions of dollars to turn out likely Democratic voters. But this wasn’t traditional political spending. He funded a targeted, private takeover of government election operations by nominally non-partisan — but demonstrably ideological — non-profit organizations. Analysis conducted by our team demonstrates this money significantly increased Joe Biden’s vote margin in key swing states. This unprecedented merger of public election offices with private resources and personnel is an acute threat to our republic, and should be the focus of electoral reform efforts moving forward. The 2020 election wasn’t stolen — it was likely bought by one of the world’s wealthiest

To make matters worse for ordinary Americans, Biden has come down decisively on the side of the radicals, leaving party moderates to wonder where the sanity went. The $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill, already passed by the Senate, is languishing in political purgatory with radical Democrats in the House threatening to kill it unless their $3.5 trillion social safety net bill is approved first. A customer violently assaulted a security guard at a New York City Apple Store after the two had a dispute over masks. Police said the dispute occurred just after 6:30 PM inside the W. 14th Street store near Chelsea. After the security guard confronted the customer over the store’s COVID-19 mask requirement, the two argued, and that’s when the customer pulled out a sharp object, stabbing the guard multiple times, NBC4 reported. When police arrived, the suspect had fled the store. Authorities say early information about the suspect is “black, male, 5’6, in his 20’s wearing a black mask, a black shirt and blue jeans,” ABC7 reported.
