Agatha Christie once said: ‘Trains are wonderful... to travel by train is to see nature and human beings, towns and churches, and rivers, in fact, to see life.’She was right. Here we round up some of the world’s most spectacular rides. GOING, GOING, GHAN (Photo) The 54-hour, 1,851-mile journey between Darwin and Adelaide — or vice versa — on The Ghan, is superb. Shiny, stainless-steel carriages sweep across immense dusty red-soil plains, stopping in Alice Springs, which is a springboard to see the famous sandstone monolith of Uluru. The Ghan is a shortening of The Afghan Express, the name given to Afghan camel herdsmen who crossed the Outback

I am certain that such a trip would be beautiful and thrilling. But why would I want to reward the Aussies' government for their fascism?

Until Major Hochstetter surrounds the train with a ring of steel when he finds your papers are not in order

Great videos on YouTube, unless The Google has taken thrmdown at the request of the Aussie Totalitarian Chi-Com-lite ‘government’. Looks like a whole bunch of time on the train, and a few stops in the abandoned subsidized outback towns between deserts, as you spend most time sleeping on your train.
I think Germany or Austria would have many more sights per mile, but most of their camps have been destroyed. A cheaper and more adventuresome trip, traveling w Electronic papers and more active detention camps, is the train in western China - much cheaper and you get to see huge bigger Uighur Camp. You can take stops at the camp outlet stores, where you can buy NBA gear, AirJordans, Apple Phones, and get all your Rx drugs at factory prices. Also can buy your dog & cat food, they will ship at special USPS rates - via air cargo back to your home in the US. That way it avoids the global multinational supply chain backlogs that those really smart MIT guys developed.
My bet w/b China & Tibet - much more progressive than Australia w bigger and more industrious camps, selling good stuff cheap!

Sometimes these "feel good" articles do not make one feel good. This would be like the ride through Jurassic Park, you hope it turns out okay.

Geese people. I think the poster was putting this up to show some of the beauty of this amazing planet we live on. Perhaps a little break from politics? Something good to think about for a moment? I don’t know. The attack dogs jumped on it right away and ruined the mojo.
I did notice, there were no scenic train trips in The U.S. Could that be because all we have is Amtrak? Who wants to go for a ride on that poorly run dangerous system?

Re:#7.
Lots of scenic trains in USA. I can recommend the Combres-Toltek Scenic RR in southern Colorado, operating between Antonito, CO and Chama, NM with a really nice lunch stop in a high altitude meadow with a lovely view from the large lunch room. Two trains meet there, and you can start at either end and return to your starting point after lunch, or go on to the opposite end, as you choose. Beautiful this time of year.
Not far away is the Durango and Silverton, also beautiful in the fall.
And for other areas, here are a dozen more scenic trips via Amtrak.

Pictures and videos only show the highlights, they do not show the days that pass between the spectacular scenery. At least a cruse ship has a few things to do between ports, still they aren't much better. The left is anti-progress and this is just commie propaganda.

Looks good on paper but who will protect those rails in this brave new world when, trending currently, all borders, laws and law enforcement will be eliminated by the pointy-headed elites?

I'm sure there is spectacular scenery. It's the stuff in between that provides plenty of time to drink.

Having ridden the Ghan from the Alice Springs desert to tropical Darwin we admired the changes in the Aussie scenery. The rail line replaced a camel train which was the original route to the north.
I notice South Aftica's Blue Train, once the top luxury train ride in the world, did not make the list. That's because the rail lines have deteriorated and many of the stations have never been upgraded with even a coat of paint.
