Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, state auditor Keith Faber, and Secretary of State Frank LaRose are considering offering and adopting a redistricting map ahead of the 2022 midterm elections that would be overly beneficial and lopsided toward helping Democrats retain their U.S. House majority, Breitbart News has learned. Two senior Republican officials briefed on the proposal before its expected introduction next week told Breitbart News that DeWine, Faber, and LaRose are considering drawing a number of pro-Trump Republicans into Democrat-leaning districts as part of retaliation against former President Donald Trump,

Redistricting in Ohio is simple, just chop Kapturs "Snake by the lake" district into three or four pieces, it was gerrymandered by Dems to keep her in office where she has been since 1982, but was in danger of losing in Toledo so they moved her to a narrow strip along the Lake Eire shore that stretches from Toledo to Cleveland, much of it only a mile wide. It is one of the 5 worst gerrymanders in the Nation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio%27s_9th_congressional_district

Just when you think the little bespectacled troll, Mike DeWine couldn’t get any worse, he manages to consider something like this. Jim Jordan is such a great guy and is a true representative of Ohio’s conservative values. He would make a great Governor or Senator. DeWine and the rest of the Rino class are fools for even considering losing Jordan’s voice. I cannot believe the betrayal by these arrogant sell outs. DeWine has zero chance of being re-elected. He is loathed in this state for his unreasonable handling of Covid. He has been on a power trip since the virus showed up. His little daily press briefings were self-aggrandizing exercises in political theater that allowed him to wield power over the state. He is a snake in the grass. DeWine is an example of what is wrong with the Republican Party. He is an arrogant fraud who believes he is better than the people he was elected to serve. He is a hypocrite and cannot be trusted. Ohio is a red state but guys like DeWine are steeped in the mindset of country club Republicans. It’s all about the deals they can make, the money they can accumulate, and the connections they can use to benefit themselves and their families. However, they are worthless when it comes to championing a conservative agenda for the good of their constituents. They will betray you every time if it benefits them in some way and Mike DeWine is their little troll king. He is more insufferable than John Kasich and that’s saying a lot.

#18, a few years ago, Ohioans stupidly passed a constitutional amendment that changed the way redistricting is done. It pretty much weakened Republicans' power, and fools in office at that time were all for it. And the idiot DeWine was a good buddy of McCain. He is also the reason we have Senator Sherrod Brown, because he is an awful, greedy person who should have retired years ago with his many pensions, yet we are already getting campaign mailers promoting his reelection, from a PAC (no doubt his own) called "Citizens for free and fair elections". When you read things like this, you realize why democrats have not worried about losing power for the past 50 years, they can count on the opposition party to help them. Remember, if you don't vote, it means the other side needs fewer votes to win, so don't sit out due to 1 issue or another. I can promise you the other side doesn't worry about 1 issue preventing them from voting, they just figure they'll work within the party to see if they can change things at a later date.

#14, I pray you are right that the Dweeb won't be re-elected, but I'm afraid he probably will be. It's surprising to me how many Ohioans either defend him (even supposed conservatives!), or are ignorant about his record even before Covid: Working to defend a restrictive free-speech zone at a state university, covertly installing a facial-recognition database that intrudes on all Ohioans (you're not accused of anything but hey, we'll pretend you're a criminal!)... the list goes on and on. The legislature is just as bad, a bunch of RINOs who are afraid to cross the Ohio GOP Deep State, and spend all their time trying to avoid voting on anything so they can escape accountability. (If DC is a swamp, Columbus is a cesspool.) Honestly, I'm about ready to start voting for all Dems... at least they're honest about where they stand.

In A.D. 286 the Roman emperor Diocletian split in half the huge Roman Empire administratively—and peacefully—under the control of two emperors. A Western empire included much of modern-day Western Europe and northwest Africa. The Eastern half controlled Eastern Europe, and parts of Asia, and northeastern Africa. By 330 the Emperor Constantine institutionalized that split by moving the empire’s capital from Rome to his new imperial city of Constantinople, founded on the site of the old Greek polis of Byzantium. The two administrative halves of the once huge empire continued to drift apart. Soon there arose two increasingly different, though still kindred versions of a once unified Romanity.
