Billions more in profits are at stake for some vaccine makers as the U.S. moves toward dispensing COVID-19 booster shots to shore up Americans' protection against the virus. How much the manufacturers stand to gain depends on how big the rollout proves to be. The U.S. tax code is gargantuan and convoluted beyond all human comprehension. According to the Tax Foundation, if you count the actual tax laws, you end up with over 2,600 pages. But if you add the IRS regulations and clarifications, you get another roughly 9,000 pages. Finally, if you then add tax case law, you get 70,000 more pages. Considering such vast complexity, it doesn't really matter what basic tax rates are. There is a widespread and legitimate feeling that people who can afford shrewd attorneys will always find loopholes, and therefore nothing much will change.

As we have been saying since the outset, the January 6th Committee is only in place for one reason – to create an extremist narrative, undermine and smear their political opposition in advance of the 2022 mid-term election. What the Mueller Investigation was to 2018, the J6 Investigation is to 2022. Same/Same. Both based on a fraudulent political premise. To support the leftist objective, the committee now sends subpoenas to Trump administration officials, aides and allies fishing for any communication information they can use to create their smears. The committee is seeking documents and depositions from Dan Scavino, President Trump’s social media assistance and senior White House

Beto O'Rourke has slammed Joe Biden for his handling of the migrant crisis, comparing the current President to Donald Trump in his decision to deport thousands of Haitian asylum seekers from the southern border. O'Rourke—who once described Biden as 'kind, caring, and the antithesis of Trump'—made the comparison in a scathing op-ed published in El Paso Matters on Friday, claiming the Commander-in-chief's new border policies were 'antithetical to our values and our common humanity'.(Snip)'We need to hold accountable those who would treat immigrants as less than human—whether they were separated from their families and placed in cages under Trump

The Garment District is Gotham’s newest shooting gallery, a disturbing heroin hotspot of addicts booting up in broad daylight. The outgoing de Blasio administration appears unwilling or unable to address the crisis, as the quality-of-life disaster unfolds just steps from high-profile Midtown landmarks such as Macy’s, Madison Square Garden and the sparkling new Moynihan Train Hall. The block bordered by 35th and 36th streets, and Seventh and Eighth Avenues, is “littered with used needles, broken glass crack pipes, trash, urine, and feces” as junkies shoot up and dealers brazenly sell drugs, lamented one neighbor on social media. “I’ve personally seen dozens of deals go down.

Tucker Carlson sent the Left into a predictable frenzy of self-righteous rage this week by making a true, but politically incorrect, observation. The invasion that is unfolding at the southern border, Carlson said, is purposeful. Joe Biden and his Democratic allies have embraced open borders because they want to change America’s racial demographics. [snip] “Folks like me who are Caucasian, of European descent, for the first time in 2017 we’ll be in an absolute minority in the United States of America, absolute minority,” he said. “That’s not a bad thing, that’s a source of our strength.” Biden is not alone in his belief that white displacement is an inexorable destiny worth celebrating.

The book indicates that Milley went outside the chain of command and called his counterpart in the Chinese military, Gen. Li Zuocheng, after the 2020 elections. He gave assurances that then-president Trump would not attack China and that if an attack was ordered by the president, Milley he would warn him so it wouldn't be a surprise.
