Costco is implementing new consumer limitations on purchases of household essentials including toilet paper, paper towels, and Kirkland bottled water as the company has seen an increase in demand due to a surge in the delta variant and supply-chain complications.
Costco has been dealing with significant issues centered around supply-chain complications and inflation according to the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Richard A. Galanti. Galanti informed analysts of the issues during a conference call, transcribed by Alpha Street, regarding Costco’s fourth-quarter earnings on September 23:
From a supply chain perspective, the factors pressuring supply chains and inflation include port delays, container shortages, COVID disruptions,

Well, I refuse to play. I'm resolved to live my life no matter the chaos and insanity that surrounds me. Too bad the Sears catalog is no longer available for the outhouse, but the RNC sends me so much junk mail they'll make a grand replacement. Adapt and overcome.

I love our lady conservatives but the truth is women have a bizarre obsession with toilet paper, paper towels, and bottled water. Mrs. Planetgeo is a very rational person, but whenever she returns from Costco I need a forklift to move all the toilet paper, paper towels, and bottled water.
Seriously, ladies, what is it with this obsession?

I have a theory about both paper goods and the vaccine in the early months. I call it the "beany baby syndrome". The beany baby business model was based on restricting supply, so that demand and prices would soar. Americans can't stand to think there is something they don't have access to. The same thing happens at gas pumps before a hurricane. No one plans to go anywhere, but everyone wants a full tank of gas in every car they own! That in itself creates a shortage.
I have a friend who was beside herself making multiple calls to acquire the vaccine! A month later they were emailing from the doctor's office about their availability. A few months after that they were begging people to come. And now they are threatening people who refuse to come.
Bottom line - any supply shortage we see over the next few months is by design....to create strife and to get into the headlines on the news outlets, that do not want to cover the real story.

In russia, you wait for bread. In America, bread waits for you.
Thats how it used to be, but with the dim-0nization of America, look for things to get even worse. Its what dim-0s do.

The headline should say “Costco AGAIN limits the purchase…”
They did the same thing last year.

The wife and I went yesterday...and we checked out separately...each with our one. But rarely buy bottled water.
I tend to agree with #5's take on female toilet paper paranoia. And have all the cat lovers each bought 2 years supply? There is virtually no can cat food on the shelves and apparently none available for restocking the stores.

Go to your local grocery stores where you know the management is conservative, if you have that option. What's going on in those stores is closer to the truth than your political Costcos, Walmarts, etc.

What is it with toilet paper?? Muslims don't know what it is and don't use it and they get along...No paper? Damp rag and then wash it...bottled water?? Too many lefties drinking it and then improperly disposing of the plastic.
Tap water is fine...if you're worried, put a filter in the line...

My local Sam's Club has been restricting purchases of toilet paper and paper towels for about 2 months. I'm not sure about bottled water. I never buy that. And speaking of bottled water, will someone please tell me why there is a need to stock up on that? Did COVID cause the tap water to stop working? Is tap water more likely to carry COVID than bottled water? Just what is the purpose of stocking up on water during a pandemic?

There are container ships at anchor in our harbors FILLED with paper goods and other household items. Sitting there, because there are no workers to unload them. No truck drivers to cart the goods into the country. But the Squatter-in-Chief send planes, trains and automobiles all over the place to cart the foreign invaders to a neighborhood near you! Reading about new diseases coming to this country, vaccines or no vaccines, toilet paper shortage and Vegetable Biden is making my butt hurt that's the reason I need toilet paper. I never understood sipping water all day from plastic bottles that must be a thing for the masked crowd. I have filtered water in one place in our kitchen with a good filter it's better than bottled. If I wanted to walk around all day sipping water I'd buy a canteen.

This is one of my biggest concerns with the state of our political situation. This is a sign of things to come. Wait until it's more than household essentials. Wait until it's meat, vegetables, electricity, healthcare, on and on. We are seeing the first signs of this country heading for serious decline. All on purpose. Hope I am wrong on this one, but with the shortage of people willing to work, fears of Covid, tyrannical policies from the Feds and local governments, I'm concerned America will look very different in a few years. Again, hope I'm wrong.

Because I’m an ex-new Yorker and suspicious of everything, as much as I love shopping in Costco I remember hearing from businesses that they had a giant surplus of bathroom paper after the hoarding was over last year. My first thought was this may be a ploy to get the morons rushing into stores and load up again while stores free up their storage rooms. Seems to be working.

I've been hoarding TP since 2015. I was afraid that BO would declare martial law and cancel the 2016 election (or its results).
I've been stocking up slowly. It isn't difficult.
Bottled water is for when the gov't decides to turn off the water supply to homes.

We laughed heartily at those who hoarded toilet paper. Ain't so funny now. Care to buy some at $10 a roll, $12 for 2-ply.

We just finished a 3-week Rv'ing trip through the pacific northwest in the national parks. Opinions were strong among our campsite neighbors that these so-called shortages are invented. Why? For control. To get us gradually used to a centrally-planned economy. The campers from Montana certainly stood out as more out-spoken. If they could make their own TP and tell Costco to jam it, they would.

The ONLY thing that should be hoarded and bought at inflated prices is ammunition. That is the only thing that will stop the madness the democrats have foisted upon us.Thanks to a manufacturing push, 5.56 and .308 is overflowing in stores right now. I have no more storage space.
