Governor Gavin Newsom has been condemned for his 'wrong and cowardly' mandate which demands all California students from 7th to 12th grade get the COVID-19 vaccine but does not require their teachers to get the shot. Social media erupted in outrage Friday night as people pointed out the alarming difference between the rules for children and staff, with many accusing the governor of being influenced by the powerful teachers' unions. 'Kids must get vaccine, but teacher don't have to. The lesson? Kids need a better union,' one person tweeted. Newsom announced Friday that all elementary through high school students will be required to get the shot

Dozens of cargo ships anchored off the coasts of Los Angeles and New York face shocking wait times of up to four weeks and railyards and trucking routes are hopelessly clogged due to the lack of manpower to unload goods – with an expert warning that the government needs to intervene or face spiraling inflation and unemployment.
That’s what we’ve heard on the mainstream media!
Every excuse given but the obvious: The Covid vaccine mandate labor shortage is preventing goods from being delivered.

Louisiana's largest health system is ratcheting up the pressure to get people vaccinated against COVID-19 and will start fining employees hundreds of dollars each month if they are married to someone who is unvaccinated. Ochsner Health has told its workers it will charge them a monthly premium of $200 if a spouse or domestic partner covered under an Ochsner health plan have not been vaccinated. Ochsner has said all employees must be vaccinated by October 29 to keep their jobs.(Snip)'This is a taste of what's coming. There is no end to the madness. Brace,' the Young Americans for Liberty, a libertarian student activism organization tweeted on Friday.

Dr. Fauci on Friday was grilled on CNBC about so-called Covid ‘breakthrough’ cases.
“Dr. Fauci, you guys have been pushing the vaccine and I understand why – I’m vaccinated, but I also have Covid and it spread through my entire family in the past few weeks,” CNBC host Sara Eisen said from her home office.
She continued, “And I just wonder about the public messaging around vaccinations. Three vaccinated people got Covid in my house, two unvaccinated children got it. Are you too casual about the limitations of the vaccine? Because it does feel to me that breakthroughs are happening, they’re happening regularly

Progressives are by their very nature contemptuous of the natural order of things. Everything can be improved by their superior intellects. By virtue of the purity of their motives and the advanced understanding we have these days, they can impose policies that violate human nature, and, they think, prevail. (snip) Trying to change human nature – or any other aspect of the natural order (see, for example Lysenkoism) – inevitably produces outcomes that are at best hilarious, and at worst, catastrophic. Thanks to a Whistleblower that came forth to Attorney Thomas Renz, the public is now seeing, for the first time ever, hard data from the largest database available in the U.S. to study the COVID-19 impact including deaths & injuries; The CMS Medicare Tracking System. The Total number of American Citizens that died within 14 days of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine is 48,465 according to hard data revealed in the Medicare Tracking System.

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Yasmin Vossoughian Reports,” Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) argued that the $3.5 trillion price tag for the Build Back Better Act reconciliation package “is a modest investment” for an economy the size of America’s.
Torres said, “[T]here’s misconception about the price tag of the Build Back Better Act. The Build Back Better Act, the original draft, it is not 3.5 trillion over the course of a year. It’s over the course of ten years. So, it’s $350 billion. Which, for a $20 trillion economy like ours, is a modest investment. So, I think it’s shortsighted to focus on the price tag.”

For a bill that supposedly cost "nothing," Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi can't even persuade their own party to vote for it. (snip) Seems they've gotten themselves into a hammerlock, held hostage by the members of their party's socialist "squad." The squad, which couldn't care less what voters think beyond their own dead blue districts have declared "my way, or the highway," (snip) while a moderate blue-dog caucus of about 20, whose members aren't too public (out of fear of the Squad), doesn't like this crap at all, knowing that its passage for each of them means a Republican will take their seat in 2022.

I’ve lost count of the number of days/weeks this has been going on but the Democrats are still in disarray at this hour and we know that because of what’s been reported to have taken place during the meeting President Joe Biden had with the House Democratic caucus earlier today to try to resolve the ongoing infighting over the infrastructure and reconciliation bills, as well as what he said afterward.
POTUS arrived in a blaze of glory with his handlers and key members of the House Democratic caucus including Speaker Nancy Pelosi alongside him. As per the norm, no questions were taken from the press

President Joe Biden will travel to his home in Delaware on Saturday, according to the White House, after his agenda stalled in Congress due to Democrat infighting.
The president spent Friday afternoon meeting with Democrats on Capitol Hill to try to advance his $5 trillion spending agenda, but to no avail.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi failed to meet her Thursday deadline to hold a vote in the House to pass the Senate infrastructure deal, as Thursday turned into Friday without a vote being held.

A handful of Afghans living temporarily on United States military bases, as part of President Joe Biden’s massive resettlement operation, have been reported for robbery and theft, U.S. Air Force General Glen VanHerck says.
During a press conference this week, VanHerck confirmed that there have been criminal instances at several of the U.S. military bases where the Biden administration is currently housing about 40,800 Afghans.
“In six weeks in Operation Allies Welcome, in a population of 53,000, there have been eight reported cases of robbery and theft,” VanHerck said, downplaying the cases by comparing them to crimes committed by American citizens.

Despite having the highest vaccination rates in the country, there are constant reminders for most New England states of just how vicious the delta variant of COVID-19 is. Hospitals across the region are seeing full intensive care units and staff shortages are starting to affect care. Public officials are pleading with the unvaccinated to get the shots. Health care workers are coping with pent-up demand for other kinds of care that had been delayed by the pandemic. “I think it’s clearly frustrating for all of us,” said Michael Pieciak, the commissioner of the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation who monitor

An interesting approach.....enforce the laws.
The authoress makes the case that the school board and librarians are distributing child porn, which has severe penalties in Virginia. It would seem that charges could be filed against the authors, printers and distributors of the books, too. Now, will they find any prosecutor who would enforce the law? This could be great fun.
