When I went through RCIA the teacher said life is important. We cannot compromise on life. Protecting life starting at the room has been in our Catechism since the beginning. The left wants to eliminate the Hyde Amendment since it bars the federal government from using taxpayer money to fund abortions except to save the life of the mother. A reporter asked “devout Catholic” Nancy Pelosi about their crusade to fund infanticide with our money. She tried to deflect, but the reporter eventually forced out an answer from her.

Speaker Pelosi believes eliminating the Hyde Amendment that prevents the federal government using taxpayer money to fund abortions with the exception to save the life of the mother is “the right thing to do ... an issue of health, an issue of fairness ... especially for those [women] in lower-income situations ... something that has been a priority for many of us [for] a long time.”
The author, Mary Chastain, “a devout Catholic” wrote “...it’s not up to me to dictate that that’s what other people should and it is an issue of fairness and justice for poor women in our country.”
Sadly and tragically, Nancy Pelosi and Mary Chastain seem to disregard Scripture’s teachings, not the least of which is, “Thou shalt not murder.” In Romans 13:1-14, it is written that mankind shall submit to governing authorities, “For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. ... For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. ...”
However, when man’s commands conflict with God’s commands, mortal man must obey God as evidenced by Peter who could not comply with a command from the high priest ordering the apostles to stop teaching in the name of Jesus because it was contrary to the Lord’s command so Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29) ~~~ The Great Commission – Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
People of faith are “bound by our conscience to speak against those laws that are unjust and, especially, those laws that violate God’s law and the natural law that binds all mankind. Abortion and other means through which humans kill humans violate these natural and moral laws that form the foundation of society.” As such, people of faith should stand against actions and laws that sanction abortion or taking innocent life; people of faith cannot be “silent when people elected to positions in which they are to protect citizens continue to pass laws and advocate for legislation that undermines the sanctity of human life. Our conscience is bound by both the Word of God and reason to speak for life as a precious gift of God and to speak against any and all who promote the killing of unborn children. We cannot hide the evil of these laws under the banner of ‘rights’ or ‘privilege.’ Children’s lives are at stake. They cannot speak for themselves.” People of faith must speak for them and work to protect their lives. ~~~ “Silence in the face of evil is evil itself.” (Dietrich Bonhoeffer – German pastor, theologian, anti-Nazi dissident; executed at the age of 39 on April 9, 1945 by hanging at the Flossenbürg concentration camp, Arrestblock-Hof.)
Conscience. It is written in Romans 13:5, “Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.” Only God can judge. (Matthew 7:1-5, Luke 6:37)

#1- While I agree with the body of your post, the quote you attribute to Mary Chastain was actually Chastain quoting Pelosi. Watch the video. Pelosi speaks of having 5 children in six years and ends it with the sentence about fairnes ect. It's Pelosi speaking. Chastain is quoting Pelosi..

Re#1 - Correction for wrongful attribution of the following comment: The author, Mary Chastain, “a devout Catholic” wrote “...it’s not up to me to dictate that that’s what other people should and it is an issue of fairness and justice for poor women in our country.” The quotation attributed to Mary Chastin is incorrect; the quotation comes from Nancy Pelosi. Mea culpa!

Real Catholics believe life begins at conception. If Pelosi, saying she is a Catholic but endorsing abortion, is actually endorsing murder.

This "devout Catholic" wants priests, through their taxes, to pay for abortions. Why hasn't she been excommunicated?

Q What is the longest war in American history?
A The dim "War on Poverty" since LBJ
Q Nancy, why are there still poor women?
A because the dims don't want to win that war, they want to blame capitalism and conservatives and their ignorant voters continue to believe their propaganda and enjoy the "entitlements"

The women are poor because they can't keep their legs closed. Having a string of kids starting at age 14 or 15 is no way to become successful or a productive member of society.

Abortion is clearly racist, just look at the numbers, a higher percentage of blacks get abortions. Of course it makes sense because after all that was one of the the goals.
The push to have the government pay for them is just the next logical step in their plan to someday force certain deplorable people to get abortions.
