It's not gun violence, it is mostly inner city minority violence.

This is not due to gun violence, but violence by criminals. Criminals are running without a care in Democrat run cities. And what does the clueless WH do? Throw more $$$ after supporting "defund the police"

Now, now, the democrats wouldn't let their voters be slaughtered in the cities just to advance a political argument against guns, would they?

The Democrat pet criminals are gunning down more Americans than ever and the Daily Mail does not want good citizens making crime dangerous for the murders. Daily Mail says th criminals must be protected!

Move yurazz out to the country. We only kill big deer and criminals.....and the criminals seem to avoid the long dirt roads. Better yet....everything goes smoothly when you have a backhoe.

I lived in San Francisco for years. Now I refuse to go there for any reason since they elected a communist pro-crime DA and stopped enforcing the law.
My smaller city is run by much more reasonable people (although still blue, this is California after all) who do t spew nonsense about defunding police, etc. just your average everyday not very bright but mostly harmless middle blue types. It's pretty nice here overall except for the schools, of course. It's still California.
Guns didn't ruin San Francisco. Their poor voting patterns did.

Reminds me of those headlines from the 1990s - -
"SUV Kills Grandma Crossing Street"
Just substitute "gun" for "SUV" - - and you have today's lying leftist headlines.

We should put all those guns in jail for shooting 'innocent' gang bangers.

The Brits and Canadians too, love articles like this, I think it makes them feel more advanced some way. Things are changing though as both countries are being over run by people who do not wish to assimilate. We will see in the very near future how they deal.

Hope is on the way: FTA: 'Andrew Cuomo has described gun violence as a 'major civil rights issue' and announced the state will offer 4,000 summer jobs and full-time jobs with training for the city's youth in the hopes of providing an 'alternative' to gun violence. '
Bringing the bangers' skills to the workforce.

#15....I want to see a survey of how many of the "Summer Jobs" recipients then use that money to buy street guns, and get arrested for shooting kids that DIDN"T get picked.(Years ago under Clinton they opened "Job Corps" centers in rural towns, imported at risk/diversion program teens, paid them, housed them...almost immediately crime surged in those rural areas, drugs showed up...friends of the job corps folks came to those towns to hang out...I saw it 1st hand in Oneonta NY...they were being trained in "Carpentry", the main output was Bluebird houses, built and installed. Something the Boyscouts had long done for free. The "Training" had zero real connection to the construction industry, which in NY is Union ONLY, and they have their own training, and at the time were having verrrry few apprentice openings to maintain employment of current members)

I own a non-violent gun. When I put it on a table it will just sit there all day and all night without shooting one single person. In fact I have never seen a "violent gun" of any kind. I have seen violent criminals take a non-violent gun and do some really violent acts. I have also never seen a gun get a prison sentence for being violent. So, where can I go to see some "violent guns"?

I guess guns have taken over for SUV's. Twenty years ago, SUV's were killing people left and right. Rush made a big deal about those vehicles killing people that the media was always ranting about. There was never a mention of a driver of the SUV. Just the hated SUV.

I sometimes hear criticism of the private US health system v socialized medicine in other countries based on life expectancy. I'll wager that if you eliminate homicides of young gang bangers and their drive by victims, US life expectancy would be comparable.

How many whites in that number and how many were whites doing the shooting.

#23 - Can't speak for all of America, but for the nearly 2500 shootings in Chicago this year, it's running 83.5% black, 12.5% hispanic, and 4% white. It's pretty close to the same ratios year-over-year. Of assailants that are known in Chicago this year, there have been TWO whites.

Guns do what they are born to do, sit in a cabinet or a holster until some idiot takes them out and pulls the trigger.

One talks about the use of guns in killing and wounding as many as 1437 this past week, no one ever talks about the money needed to bury or treat the victims...or if the criminals are caught and tried, we the tax payers, get zapped again to pay for their lawyers, food, jail, etc.
It is coming out of our pockets, friends.
Defunding the police is so wrong, we need more, not less.

Gun violence? There is no such thing. A gun is not capable of violence, it can only do what the person holding it makes it do.
