I lived in San Francisco for years. Now I refuse to go there for any reason since they elected a communist pro-crime DA and stopped enforcing the law. My smaller city is run by much more reasonable people (although still blue, this is California after all) who do t spew nonsense about defunding police, etc. just your average everyday not very bright but mostly harmless middle blue types. It's pretty nice here overall except for the schools, of course. It's still California. Guns didn't ruin San Francisco. Their poor voting patterns did.

#15....I want to see a survey of how many of the "Summer Jobs" recipients then use that money to buy street guns, and get arrested for shooting kids that DIDN"T get picked.(Years ago under Clinton they opened "Job Corps" centers in rural towns, imported at risk/diversion program teens, paid them, housed them...almost immediately crime surged in those rural areas, drugs showed up...friends of the job corps folks came to those towns to hang out...I saw it 1st hand in Oneonta NY...they were being trained in "Carpentry", the main output was Bluebird houses, built and installed. Something the Boyscouts had long done for free. The "Training" had zero real connection to the construction industry, which in NY is Union ONLY, and they have their own training, and at the time were having verrrry few apprentice openings to maintain employment of current members)

I have seen violent criminals take a non-violent gun and do some really violent acts. I have also never seen a gun get a prison sentence for being violent. Just over a week ago, the Centers for Disease Control advised that vaccinated teachers and students don’t need masks. On Tuesday, it reversed that, recommending that all staff and K-12ers mask up, regardless of vax status. It also switched to saying indoor-mask mandates make sense, at least in areas experiencing spikes in cases. This is nonsense — and pernicious, too: The vax-hesitant lose a big reason to get jabbed if the shot doesn’t let them breathe freely. Indeed, such reversals also undermine the CDC’s entire claim to be making calls purely on the science.
