U.N. Rights Chief Demands Reparations
for 'Slavery, Colonial Rule, and Racism'

Original Article

Posted By: Ribicon, 7/12/2021 7:00:53 PM

The U.N. human rights chief on Monday demanded comprehensive reparations be made to compensate countries that have suffered what she called the deadly legacies of slavery, colonial rule and racial discrimination. Former Chilean Socialist President Michelle Bachelet presented to the U.N. Human Rights Council a report she hopes will change the definition of racism and highlight its impact. It comes after her intervention last month calling on the world to immediately dismantle systemic racism against people of African descent and “make amends” to the oppressed while groups like Black Lives Matter should receive “funding, public recognition and support.” Others have also joined her demands for massive financial redistributions

Comments:

Murder every last WHITE person on the planet, distribute their assets to the Africans, and within a short time they'll be back where they were, looking for handouts. But in the meantime, Former Chilean Socialist President Michelle Bachelet and her UN cohorts are glad to take a healthy cut of the action, atop their fat salaries, because they Care.

Goobernments and countries are not faceless monolithic societies. They are made u of citizens, real people. Why are current real people expected to be punished for something that happened hundreds of years ago? This makes for great rhetoric but insult individuals. I reject reparations of any kind. If you want money, go to the legal system. But punishing innocent people for a Marxist theory is cruel and unusual punishment.

Reparations: One time, single use, American passport to whatever country they can gain entrance to, for any family members wanting to go. One way plane ticket for each person to said destination. Ocean shipping of whatever goods said family claims to own. No return I want them to be happy They will NEVER be happy here, so I'm willing to send them to a better place. Otherwise Shut up and get a job.

What about the black tribes that sold other blacks to the slavers and what about the blacks in America who owned slaves? The notion that slavery was invented by the American colonists just isn't true. Slavery has been practiced by EVERYONE since the beginning of time. I am sick of this. We have handed over billions and look what we've got. Squat.

I demand that stupid people be locked up so they don't get hurt. What's that old saying that used to be posted on desks at work before it was found to be confrontational and offensive, something like "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine." Planning by the race that whines is all but non existent, that's why they need cradle to grave support. If they had an ounce of courage they would have chosen to die rather than board a slave ship.

Let's get specific here...does Egypt owe something to Israel and Jews everywhere? How about those Assyrians? The Hittittes? They set the precedent...and eventually we come to the various African tribes who sold captives into slavery. When do they get their ticket punched as slavers owing reparations for their perfidy? And how about that "door of no return" in Ghana? Why is it allowed to stand, along with the castles built by the slavers?

People already died to end it. She wants more? There was a Niagara of bloodshed, largely from people who had nothing to do with the wrong. gfy Michelle Bachelet. And a question for you. What are you doing to end the slavery that continues today? Answer: Michelle Bachelet is just trying to fundraise for her organizaton, making the first case that comes into her head to do so. It isn't fair and she hasn't thought about it more than five minutes. What I know: Don't confess to things you didn't do and I am not going to confess in my name or that of my ancestors, who effing died to end slavery, went and ran and joined the army and died on the field. gfy, Michelle Bachelet.

The inconvenient truth is that most of the Blacks that were sold into slavery were captured and sold by other African Blacks. (Usually from other tribes.) Slavery was widely practiced from ancient times and slave included all racial groups. As for the those Africans demanding reparations, many of their ancestors did the enslaving of other Blacks. After 260 years and numerous generations, reparations is just an extortion racket.

I agree. All the descendants of those tribal chieftains who captured and sold off in to slavery millions of Africans, and the many muslim slavers who marched the black slaves through the desert and sold them on the coast owe the world reparations. Lets not forget the Southern demoncrats who bought and sold slaves to work on their plantations for centuries, fought a civil war to keep them, and keep them in their societies as second-class citizens without rights for another century. Perhaps they all owe reparations. Forget about me and my family. We never bought, sold or owned any slaves. My ancestor fought for the North in the Civil War. If anything, descendents of black slaves owe me.

Another socialist Communist argument for the re-distribution of wealth of the world from those who made it to those who did not. 1) Slavery originated with the leaders, tribal chiefs and local warlords enslaving their own people or those of nearby tribes and then selling them for profit to overseas buyers. 2) Colonialism was the driver of the formation of nations out of patchworks of tribal and internecine warring tribes with no idea of a national identity. It made string and lasting contributions to the development of administrative, legal, health and education and economic/commercial systems as well as the infrastructure to support them whihc made the "newly emerged" nations capable of becoming participating and active members of the modern community of nations. Probably the best example among many is INDIA. 3) Well may here have been racial discrimination but it had more to do with misunderstanding concerning relationships between foreign leadership and local resentments. However for the most part under colonial rule there was a stop put to the inter-tribal and internecine wars and massacres by the warlords leading to vast numbers of deaths and enslavement. It also brought to an end the extreme practices of many of the local beliefs whihc involved the deaths of thousands as offering of human sacrifices to their deities; In the case of the Aztecs this involved the sacrifice of 30,000 plus, over a 3 day sacrificial period, on a regular calendar basis. Furthermore their were issues of forced arranged marriages, widespread polygamy, kidnappings of women and girls forced into sex slavery and polygamous marriages and concubinage, with the forced suicide of wives some very young on the funeral pyres of their dead husband.

Few illegal immigrants caught and released at the border on promises of turning themselves in to ICE later are actually showing up, defying Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ assurances of a “high rate” of compliance and leaving the department with few options for tracking the migrants down. At best, the appearance rate is less than 25%, according to data from members of Congress and from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It may actually be much lower. That means thousands of illegal immigrants have already defied their first orders from Homeland Security and become fugitives, and that bodes ill for the chances of getting them to comply with their court dates

America’s dwindling domestic shipbuilding industry has lawmakers worried about the Navy’s ability to keep up with China and Russia. Now that China has surpassed the U.S. to have the world’s largest navy, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle agree that the service must make strides toward building a larger fleet. Reaching the goal, however, is hobbled by a domestic shipbuilding industry that has been in decline since the mid-1990s. The Navy currently operates just four public shipyards tasked with maintaining the nuclear-powered fleet and roughly 20 private shipyards certified to build and maintain the service’s conventionally powered ships.
