The governor of Texas has described state Democrats who fled to Washington DC to prevent a vote as 'quitters' who were 'un-Texan' in running from a fight, and said they will be arrested on their return. At least 58 Democrats left Austin to avoid the vote on election bills, touching down in Washington D.C. on Monday evening in two private jets - chartered at a cost of $100,000. They have fled to prevent a vote on two bills which would add new identification requirements for mail voting; ban some early voting options; and create new criminal penalties for breaking election code, while empowering partisan poll watchers.

Why do they keep calling them democrats when they are clearly communists? Its a sad state of affairs that a formerly great state like Texas would have so many America hating vermin in their government.
And if they are arrested, so what? Nothing will ever happen to them. They are protected by the rest of the corrupt system.

If they live in Austin they are not real Texans. Austin is to Texas like Philadelphia is to Pennsylvania. Anybody who fights laws to make voting more honest is planning to cheat in the next election. The democrat campaign against "voter suppression" gives the whole thing away and the corrupt HR1 bill is their only path to any sort of future.

Are all democrats holding office in Texas women? Maybe I missed them, but it looked like a plane load of females. I did not see one male. Let me just put this out there and since I am a woman, I believe I can offer my opinion without being labeled a misogynist. I have noticed that the most rabid, outspoken, virulent, strident, and profane women are democrats. There is not one reasonable, measured, patriot in their midst. I am appalled by their behavior. They are such awful human beings that I seriously believe that most of them are mentally ill. The whole party is made of up “mean girls”. They look so proud as they flee the state in order to prevent these two votes on securing the integrity of elections. What kind of message does that send?
Democrats are, once again, proving that they will gladly break the law if they do not get their way. This is nothing more than the kind of behavior we expect from them. They lie, cheat, steal and flee as if they have a divine right to rule over the rest of us. I cannot believe their blatant lawless behavior. In my opinion, the democrat party is an enemy of this country and has committed an act of treason by stealing the presidential election in 2020. This heinous act was used as cover for a bloodless coup d’etat which was aided and abetted by our own government. Therefore, these fools scurrying off in order to prevent a vote regarding voter integrity does not surprise me. Democrats are presently in the process of destroying the Republic and they know they could not win any upcoming election without cheating. In order to continue down their path of destruction, they must cheat. We are fighting an uphill battle when one party is completely lawless and most of the government supports them. What a miserable mess we are in.

Why are the female communist death democrats separated from the soy boy communist death democrats on this jet with the women in the front and the so-called men in the back and there also appears to be a further separation between the obese white women and the obese black women who are featured prominently sitting in the front of the jet? Do these communist clowns have diversity seating rules?

Good on you, Governor, if you really follow through. You can also put an end to this stupidity by changing to an actual quorum of one over half to conduct business instead of 2/3. The $100,000 (approximate) cost of the 2 charter planes was paid for by the House Democratic Caucus. Members of the Texas legislature have done this twice before - once by the House and once by the Senate. It has never worked. Also, Governor Abbott has cut off pay for the cowardly legislators who fled, along with their staffs. Effective September 1, no pay, no retirement contributions, etc.
The Governor will likely keep calling 30-day sessions until they give up, but unfortunately our muddled President will try to use this incident to further pressure Manchin and Senema to relent in their steadfast refusal to kill the filibuster.
Like their mentor communists around the world, the Texas Democrats want to achieve thier goals "by any means necessary."

The article was too long to read but here is the info on who paid for it:
"The jets were paid for by the House Democratic caucus, they said - but they have begun fundraising to allow them to stay in D.C.
'They are still getting taxpayer-based money and their staffs are still getting taxpayer-based money,' said Abbott.
'So they are still living off of the government dime even while on this trip."

Two words, people: Dade Phelan (R - Beaumont). A Rino that got installed in the Texas Legislature who has been active in supporting the Democrat factor in Texas.
From the Texas Scorecard (which Id like to propose to Lcom admin as a potential news source to post here on the site), Phelan is quoted: "A number of House Democrats stated their caucus intends to break quorum in an attempt to stall election integrity legislation. These actions put at risk state funding that will deny thousands of hard-working staff members and their families a paycheck, health benefits, and retirement investment so that legislators who broke quorum can flee to Washington D.C. in private jets. The Texas House will use every available resource under the Texas Constitution and the unanimously-passed House Rules to secure a quorum to meaningfully debate and consider election integrity, bail reform, benefits for retired teachers, Child Protective Services reform, Article X funding, and the other important measures Gov. Abbott placed on the special session agenda. The special session clock is ticking — I expect all Members to be present in our Capitol in order to immediately get to work on these issues."
The article goes on with:
"Notably, Phelan met with the House Democrat Caucus before their walkout at the end of the 87th regular legislative session, and he later confirmed he told them he would not order the locking of House chamber doors or send state law enforcement personnel after them."
As is true in DC, it isnt just the Dems who have mucked things up and continue to complicate things for the Constitutional Republic. Its the RINOs who think they are so slick by pretending to be one thing while their left hand is doing another.

Eventually, this staged event will have no affect in the end. At some point they will have to return, and they simply do not have the votes.
Governor Abbott will continue to call Special Sessions until they have no other choice. They make all sorts of claims that just don't hold water when you actually look at the facts and tone down the rhetoric.
Standardizing voting hours all across Texas, Voter ID requirements with regard to Absent Ballots By Mail voting, banning "drive-through" voting, tasking officials with cleaning the voting rolls of dead persons or persons who no longer live at a particular address, prohibiting voters from using a UPS store address mailbox as a permanent address as required-- the are common sense rules that have absolutely NOTHING to do with race or economic standing.
Who pays the money for these folks to do this?
Inquiring minds want to know-- as Rush Limbaugh used to say "follow the money" and you will find out all sorts of things....

A few Texas Rangers, complete with white hats and nice suits, confronting these deserters in Washington would have made for great television. Give them papers to serve and alert the media...what great visuals as these clowns run and hide from the law and their obligations as legilators. This is being co-ordinated with Democrats in DC, and paid for by Democrat billionaires like Zuckerbucks and Soros. It is all planned to be a great publicity show to go on for many months. Texas law says these members can be arrested, wherever they can be found. We know where they are, and these members should be arrested in DC and brought back to Texas, although most Texans would prefer they not be allowed back into the state.

I have to question why those two planes were allowed out of Texas airspace with treasonous felons onboard? They should never have been allowed to take off. The criminals were fleeing jurisdiction and should have been frog marched down the tarmac and into a waiting sheriff's transport to get them processed and into their orange jump prison uniforms. No mercy for traitors!!
As it is, the governor needs to access a penalty of $100k a day for each of them for everyday they are missing with a lean against their property in the state. Toss their families out of their homes if necessary. This is war!!

1. Immediately change their pay status from direct deposit to paper check. And have it held by the LT Govenor.
2. Ensure that all charges are at the Felony or Class A misdemeanor. Convict and decertify them from their positions. I'd like to see them ineligible for public office. Misprision, perhaps.
3. Change the quorum rule to 50% + 1. That takes care of future problems.

Absolutely disgusting, looking at the pictures makes me nauseous. Abbott needs to follow thru on his promise and make an example of all of them. Treat it as an insurrection in the State of Texas and hold them in solitary confinement like the January 6 protestors are being subjected to, and hold them until all conservative protesters jailed after January 6th are free. Also, who paid for the private jets? Each and every one of these traitors needs to have their tax return audited if they can afford this luxury. I am sick of these losers getting away with this crud and if the US will not hold Democrats accountable maybe Texas needs to!
BTW - I live in Austin and we do have some very wonderful conservatives here who do stand up and fight, unlike Democrats who lie, cheat and run away!
