Soldier’s sham marriage conviction
exposes immigration fraud ring in military

Original Article

An Army soldier’s conviction on marriage fraud charges last week pulled the curtain back on what experts say is a problem within the U.S. military, with troops entering into sham unions with illegal immigrants in order to earn more money for themselves and to help the migrants stay in the country. Samuel Manu Agyapong, a Ghanaian immigrant who’d already won U.S. citizenship for himself, was found guilty of helping an illegal immigrant—a fellow Ghanaian—through a bogus marriage. Barbara Oppong parlayed it into a pathway to citizenship, while Agyapong got a significant boost in pay for being married.

Comments:

At least six Migrants from Ghana, serving at a US Army base named after a Confederate general, game the system in order to win US citizenship because this nation is Mean to bLACK people. US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Somalia) did the same thing, so where's the problem? Separately, the article says other patriotic Army members are helping smuggle Future Americans across the border and onto their Pathway to Citizenship, which as everyone knows is a good thing, as they're taught that the USA needs to be less WHITE.

Why does the military pay more for being married? If that really is a practice, that needs to stop now.

Also - apologies for second post, but if this clown has been naturalized, and participated in this scam, his citizenship should be revoked, a dishonorable discharge stuck to his jacket, and he and his new 'bride' should be immediately deported.

I've been retired 30 years now and I don't remember the exact amount I gained in my pay by virtue of being married but I guarantee it was not a substantial amount as suggested by the article. Best I recall, it was less than $300 per month total. It's based on living off base rather than in on base quarters and providing my own meals rather than eating in the chow hall. Had I lived in base family housing and ate in the chow hall I would have forfeited that money. And #1, unmarried service members who live off base and provide their own food receive the same monetary allowances.

This is a big deal because when an illegal alien marries a member of the US Armed Forces they immediately become essentially exempt from the deportation laws. Biden wants to keep it that way with new expansive rules to make sure that even criminal illegal aliens who find a member of the US Armed Forces who will marry them, will also become exempt from deportation, along with any other illegal alien related to an Armed Forces member in the USA will also to stay. Anyone who thinks the Biden Administration is going to authorize the extensive investigations necessary to uncover and prove a lot fraudulent immigration marriages must not have been watching what has been going on along Biden’s current “open” borderline. To the Democrats every illegal alien is considered to be a prospective leftist and socialist Democrat voter who the Democrats must protect at all costs.

Marriages of convenience in the military have been going on for decades. Two service members get married, get BAQ and COLA benefits they otherwise wouldn't get as singles. At least DoD stopped both parties from collecting, but still, it's an increase in pay. The immigration deal is just a twist on the same scam.

Few illegal immigrants caught and released at the border on promises of turning themselves in to ICE later are actually showing up, defying Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ assurances of a “high rate” of compliance and leaving the department with few options for tracking the migrants down. At best, the appearance rate is less than 25%, according to data from members of Congress and from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It may actually be much lower. That means thousands of illegal immigrants have already defied their first orders from Homeland Security and become fugitives, and that bodes ill for the chances of getting them to comply with their court dates

America’s dwindling domestic shipbuilding industry has lawmakers worried about the Navy’s ability to keep up with China and Russia. Now that China has surpassed the U.S. to have the world’s largest navy, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle agree that the service must make strides toward building a larger fleet. Reaching the goal, however, is hobbled by a domestic shipbuilding industry that has been in decline since the mid-1990s. The Navy currently operates just four public shipyards tasked with maintaining the nuclear-powered fleet and roughly 20 private shipyards certified to build and maintain the service’s conventionally powered ships. China, by comparison, operates more than 1,200 shipyards

A city prosecutor added, “They don’t go to jail, so they do robberies, get in fights and carry guns. The first teen to die in the bloody gang-fueled
