We asked the Apostle Paul for an opinion. Here it is from I Corinthians 11:27-29
27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.

I haven't taken communion for 1000 years. I am not missing anything. As a non-practicing Catholic, I have a closer, more genuine relationship with the Lord than any of these phonies, including the bishops and the "pope" who are false Christians and who probably worship Satan on the sly. Btw, I heard there have been some satanic rituals that have taken place in the Vatican in recent years. There was a video out there with some of it recorded. I hoped it was fake, but ever since they kicked out the last REAL Pope (Benedict), I believe it to be true.

By making the holy eucharistic too holy to be a political issue, the church council made it a political issue. If they can't follow their own Catholic rules, they are not fit to be on the church council. They are too afraid that very few of their members would be eligible to receive communion. They were afraid of losing members and money.

If the Holy Eucharist is too sacred, why do they let the non-repentant consume it?

Many people still don' realize the church has been infiltrated by a gay cabal known as "The Lavender Mafia," a large group of Marxists that began infiltrating the seminaries decades ago, and now, after covertly promoting and supporting each other, they're the dominant force, including the majority of bishops and cardinals. If you are skeptical, research Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, who was recently defrocked. Or Cardinal joseph Bernadin, a now deceased gay cardinal from Chicago, both wretched, diabolical men, who acted as subversives for decades undermining the faith, all while abusing minors and covering up for their fellow mafia abusers as well.
Don't expect to see any bold righteous stances coming out of the modern church. It will be more of this mealy-mouthed, lukewarm, bilge and Luciferian double speak, like, "The great gift of the Holy Eucharist is too sacred to be made a political issue," pathetic. The pope is a Marxist, and the powerful black arch-bishop in Washington, DC, Wilton Gregory, is nicknamed "The African Queen."
Most of what you hear from the pulpit today has been influenced by this Communist cabal. We get lectures on borders and racism, as if the people in the pews are the problem, not the rioters in the streets or the wretched media. There are some brave priests speaking out, but they're mostly being persecuted, those who are too orthodox are deviously placed in diocesan mental health facilities which act as a sort of re-education camp. Bottom line, the hierarchy of the church is part of the deep state and the church has been corrupted at the highest levels.
The pedophilia is everywhere (FBI agent arrested 2 days ago, Louisiana) and it's being revealed. It will be what ultimately dooms the deep state.

#11, the church’s stance is that if a Catholic even suggests to a woman that she get an abortion, it is grounds for excommunication. Xiden, Pelosi, etc are way beyond that.
Let’s not forget that Xiden was not only the first person in the Smidgen administration to announce his support for same sex marriage, he also officiated at a same sex wedding. That is also grounds for excommunication.
The Catholic Church, which I converted to 31 years ago, has lost its way.

She would only be excommunicated if she then remarried without first getting her first marriage annulled. This has been pointed out to you before. Unless she got an annulment for her marriage to your father then by remarriage she is considered to be an adulterer by the church.

I notice that some of the Catholic parishes have a lot of parishoners and some seem to be losing them. There are some vibrant parishes. I stopped going to one near me and travel a distance to one that refused to follow the govvie's orders on distancing, limiting attendance, etc. What really made the difference was my old parish posting a stupid comment by the pope regarding America and race problems on their website. There's a commandment against false witness.

I don't know of any Catholic Church that is stopping folks in the communion line and asking them if they are without mortal sin (in a state of grace) or if they are for or against abortion. That is never going to happen. What could, and should, happen is that the bishops should publicly censure politicians with whatever letter that is supposed to come out and tell them that they are receiving Eucharist unworthily because of their stance on abortion. They are imperiling their immortal souls and causing scandal within the Church. They should not rpresent themselves for Holy Communion until they repent, go to reconciliation and change their ways.

FTA: Holy Trinity called itself a parish with a "long history of welcoming all," adding that "none of us, whether we stand in the pews or behind the altar, is worthy to receive" Communion.
So by that standard and by the Pope's words as well, President Donald J. Trump will be given Communion if he presents himself at the altar at Holy Trinity or the Vatican?
I think we can all agree, that if Donald J. Trump, the most pro-life president in our history, WAS a practicing Catholic and presented himself at the altar for Communion, YOU KNOW, the Bishops, the Pope, the Catholic Church hierarchy would have NO problem denying him Communion.
Yeah, we shouldn't be politicizing the Eucharist. Yeah, right. Disgraceful.

Judas received Communion at the Last Supper. It is the one case we know of, of a person who has been infallibly judged to have been in a poor state of grace at the time. The Lord administered Communion with his own hand, Judas went and did as he had planned, and then he went and hanged himself, and the Lord explains that it would have been better for him if he had never been born. This shows that being unworthy does not lead directly to being denied Communion, but that being admonished not to is in the person's best interests since receiving unworthily is not where we want to be. You can approach the altar but if you have any fear that the Catholics might possibly right, for the love of God do not touch this sacrament. You won't be the first to ridicule His sacrifice and you won't be the first to go to hell for it afterward if you don't repent, and if you can't stop yourself, how can you assume you will repent? If you had that much sense you wouldn't do this in the first place.

When I am at a Catholic funeral mass with Protestant friends that don't know what to do, I say that they are invited up to the Altar and can cross their arms like Wonder Woman, and receive a blessing.
I did this at an Anglican Church in northern Indiana for a funeral mass. I knew I had no business receiving communion there but went to receive a blessing.

They are giving it to Biden and Pelosi because of their politics and the fact that they wield so much political power.

Parish councils do not have the authority to make this decision, however misguided they may be by their pastor and bishop. I have the suspicion the council was put up to this action by "authorities' in order to diffuse the "political" fallout for faux Catholic Democrats and their "spiritual" leaders. Washington DC is a swamp and this parish has adopted the customs of the locals rather than be a Beacon of Light. So be it. As #27 pointed out, Christ taught us that weeds would grow among the wheat and will be thrashed out on Judgement Day. Remember, Judas was an Apostle and an intimate of Jesus. Satan has been present since the beginning, even tempting Christ Himself before He began His ministry.
#16 makes an important point; Satan's Marxist ideology has been infecting the Church since the turn of the 20th century. The Catholic Church was not spared the long march through the institutions anymore than secular governments and institutions. Our Blessed Mother warned the world about communism in 1917 at Fatima, Portugal. She called on the world to pray the Rosary and to live Life in Christ. Despite great spiritual warriors like Bishop Fulton Sheen and Father Payton's Family Rosary Crusade, the faithful slept. Not much different than what has happened to our America while the citizens slept. I'm a Catholic and an American. I will not abandon either my Faith or my Country to the commie devils.
I agree with #7-8's complaint about former Catholics using their status as a shield to complain about the Church as an "insider". However, despite being away from the Faith, they are still Catholics by right of their Baptism that has blessed and anointed them as a Child of God. They are entitled to Reconciliation and a full return to all Sacraments. I was out of the Faith for twenty years, and though inactive, I was still a Catholic. That Baptismal grace saved me from an attempted suicide and flung me back into the Arms of Christ.
#12-29 Obviously your parents divorce fifty years ago was a painful experience, exacerbated by a poorly informed priest, as it is the only thing you post about on every Catholic thread. I and others have explained what should have happened, but unfortunately did not. I understand that you're not interested in explanations, I can only observe that nursing your grief will never relieve it. It was not the Catholic Church that caused your parents to divorce in the first place. I pray you find peace over this issue one day. God bless you.

Read scripture. Jesus (john 16), read the words of St. Paul throughout his letters. There are explicit teachings about the giving of the most precious Body ad Blood of Jesus. For the folks who are faithful and attend Mass and receive the Eucharist, in holiness and worship they are the ones being punished, scandalized and confused by the "Bishops and Pope Frankie." Pray for us. Jesus, I trust in you...not the clerics who deny us.

I respect everyone's religious freedom. I also understand it is only the Gospel of Christ will get you righteousness before God and salvation. Being Catholic or Protestant means nothing. The virgin birth is not in the Gospel, or the trinity, or abortion. You don't have to be a theologian or a saint to be saved. But you have to believe the Gospel. No one tells me what to believe on abortion, it is my moral judgment ... whatever it is, it is no ones business. Including a loop legged so called priest. I am my own man under God.
Oh yes, communion is not in the Gospel. The thief on the cross never took it.
So I refuse to judge people concerning deeds and works. I refuse.
Look at King David of Israel, God bragged on him in Hebrews 11 and never blamed him at all. No judging.

I've been reading about Fr. James Altman of Wisconsin and the struggles he's been going through trying to be a good pastor to his flock, unlike the pastor of Biden's church, who obviously is afraid to tell his parishioners that you have to be in a state of grace to receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist, and if you are not in the state of grace when you receive the sacrament, you would commit a sacrilege.
Fr. Altman is not as politically correct as Biden's pastor, so he's been asked to step down as pastor of his church by his bishop. He joins other fine orthodox, traditional priests who are being persecuted, without cause, by their bishops. Fortunately, Father Altman was an attorney before he entered the priesthood, and he intends to challenge his bishop's directive, and is encouraging other good priests who have been removed from their duties - again, without just cause - to join him.
On June 24, I read a wonderful article, "Archbishop Vigano Stands With Fr. James Altman in Defending Persecuted Priests". Please call it up. You can also learn more about Fr. Altman by reading - Stand with Altman.com. Also, there are video testimonies of nine persecuted priests who had their priesthood suspended by some bishops who were not being Christ-like shepherds to their flocks. (Parts may be disagreeable to listen to, but sometimes it is important to let the puss out of the wound for the wound to heal.) Stand with Altman.com

Scripture is the infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21). It is written in Malachi 2:1-9 that the Lord rebuked the priests “for failing to live up to the expectations He presented in His Word.
Malachi 2:1-9 - The LORD Rebukes the Priests
2 “AND NOW, O PRIESTS, THIS COMMAND IS FOR YOU. 2 IF YOU WILL NOT LISTEN, IF YOU WILL NOT TAKE IT TO HEART TO GIVE HONOR TO MY NAME, SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS, THEN I WILL SEND THE CURSE UPON YOU AND I WILL CURSE YOUR BLESSINGS. INDEED, I HAVE ALREADY CURSED THEM, BECAUSE YOU DO NOT LAY IT TO HEART. 3 Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and spread dung on your faces, the dung of your offerings, and you shall be taken away with it. 4 So shall you know that I have sent this command to you, that my covenant with Levi may stand, says the LORD of hosts. 5 My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him. It was a covenant of fear, and he feared me. He stood in awe of my name. 6 True instruction was in his mouth, and no wrong was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many from iniquity. 7 FOR THE LIPS OF A PRIEST SHOULD GUARD KNOWLEDGE, AND PEOPLE SHOULD SEEK INSTRUCTION FROM HIS MOUTH, FOR HE IS THE MESSENGER OF THE LORD OF HOSTS. 8 BUT YOU HAVE TURNED ASIDE FROM THE WAY. YOU HAVE CAUSED MANY TO STUMBLE BY YOUR INSTRUCTION. YOU HAVE CORRUPTED THE COVENANT OF LEVI, SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS, 9 AND SO I MAKE YOU DESPISED AND ABASED BEFORE ALL THE PEOPLE, INASMUCH AS YOU DO NOT KEEP MY WAYS BUT SHOW PARTIALITY IN YOUR INSTRUCTION.”
God has the same requirements for His pastors and teachers today. St. Paul wrote, “He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.” (Titus 1:9)
The Apostle James wrote, “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.” (James 3:1) Those who claim to teach will be judged more harshly “Because false teaching can destroy the faith of those being taught (Galatians 1:8-9). Both a stricter standard of judgment and a harsher punishment.”
The essence of this post is to make clear that pastors/priests have the power of the “Keys of the Kingdom” for the forgiveness of sins and, as written Malachi 2:1-9, today’s pastors/priests have the same responsibility of “teaching” as well as upholding the Word of God—to bind or loose, to forgive or to withhold.
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)
“And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.’” (John 20:22-23)

#6~ In the Old Testament (Old Covenant), God gave mankind the Ten Commandments. In the New Testament (New Covenant), Jesus gave mankind two commandments: Baptism, The Sacrament of the Altar. The holy Evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke, and St. Paul write:
“Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said: “Take, eat; this is My body, which is given for you. THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.”
“In the same way also He took the cup after supper, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink of it, all of you; this cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. THIS DO, AS OFTEN AS YOU DRINK IT, IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.’”
Obedience to our Lord’s commandments is a matter of free will and He alone will judge mankind according to their words and deeds.
#36~ “Church...weeding out...” ~~ The “Church” does have the responsibility of weeding out to the extent of pointing out the sins of believers, even specific individuals, to encourage the repentance of sins and, if the Church’s instructions and pleas are ignored, pastors/priests have the responsibility to abide by our Lord’s directive. Our Lord gave the disciples the “keys of the kingdom” to forgive or withhold, to bind or loose:
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)
“And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgiv the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.’” (John 20:22-23)

#46~ “Being Catholic or Protestant means nothing.” ~~ In the sense of specific religious denomination, that is correct; however, doctrine can mean the difference between salvation and damnation.
“The virgin birth is not in the Gospel, or the trinity, or abortion.” ~~ On the contrary. The VIRGIN BIRTH is in the Gospel (Matthew 1:18-24, Luke 1:26-38) as well as in the Old Testament (Isaiah 7:14).
The TRINITY is revealed in Matthew 3:13-17, 28:19 – 1 Peter 1-2 – 1 John 5:7-8 – Ephesians 4:4-6.
Mankind has the gift of “free will” that ultimately impacts moral judgment; obedience to God’s laws quite likely factor into mortal man’s ultimate judgment. Because ABORTION is murder, the Commandment “Thou shalt not murder” applies for both the Old and New Covenants; further, because God knows us before we are born, it may be reasonable to assume that God would not be pleased if John the Baptist or Jesus would have been aborted.
The Old Testament gave mankind Ten Commandments; Jesus gave mankind two commandments, Baptism and The Sacrament of the Altar (COMMUNION). In the GOSPEL, Matthew, Mark, Luke and Paul made clear that in the very words of Jesus at the Last Supper, He said of the bread, “This do in remembrance of me” and of the wine, “This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
With God, all things are possible and Jesus chose to forgive the THIEF on the cross without absolution through Communion. The disciples had not yet had the opportunity to obey “The Great Commission” – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
God punished KING DAVID for his adultery with Bathsheba in three ways. The sword would never depart from David’s house--at least three of David’s sons met with violent deaths; David’s wives would be humiliated before all Israel by the sin of his son Absalom sleeping with David’s concubines; the son of David and Bathsheba conceived in sin died as prophesied by the prophet Nathan.

And this is why I, a Catholic, am disgusted with my Church: politics above dogma and caring. It's bad enough that I had to hear about pedophile priests (and still do) Burt now this.........!

#55 The Gospel of Christ has not one word in it concerning many New Testament doctrines. If you add other doctrines to the Gospel, Galatians says you are cursed by God. The Trinity is true, as is the virgin birth, communion, baptism and more. They are not part of the Gospel of the grace of God. You don't even know what Jesus Christ looks like, never met him and never had a normal conversation with Him. You and all of us only have the Gospel. The only righteous in the Bible is Faith.
It is the preaching of the Gospel that is foolishness to the world and false good works religions.
For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God. Paul the Apostle
People are accursed for mingling grace and law. It is heresy.
Jesus said you that are without sin cast the first stone at this harlot. No one is qualified to take communion or say who can or cannot.
Here is all that is in the Gospel of Christ: grace, faith, deity of Jesus Christ, repentance(perish if you don't), eternal life.
No works, no laws.
Feel free to espouse your Catholic church religion, but they are not in the Gospel as written.

#60~ Dictionary: Gospel – the teachings of Jesus and the apostles; the Christian revelation – the story of Christ’s life and teachings, especially as contained in the first four books of the New Testament, namely Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
~ “Gospel...not one word...concerning New Testament doctrines.” / Post 55 cites Matthew and John. Explain how and why the passages cited in Post 55 are not the basis of New Testament doctrines.
~ Explain how and why the Trinity, Virgin Birth, Communion, and Baptism are not part of the Gospel of the grace of God. The entirety of those revelations are part and parcel of the Gospel of the grace of God.
~ “Mingling grace and law.” / Law serves the purpose of the Gospel; Law and Gospel work together; the Law cannot save sinners, but shows mankind’s sins and drives mankind to repentance leading mankind to forgiveness and saving through the Gospel. That is not heresy.
~ “No one is qualified to take communion or say who can or cannot.” / Explain why Jesus instituted Communion if it was not intended to forgive sinners, and why Jesus gave the disciples (priests) the Keys of the Kingdom to forgive or withhold the sins of sinners (via Communion).
~ Correct, mankind is not saved by works; faith brings forth good works.
~ Correct, mankind is saved by grace alone, and faith alone--as written in Scripture.
“Church Religion - But they are not in the Gospel as written.” / Explain and identify what specific Bible is being used as a reference.
