Not to worry, the City Council added a black man's name to Lake Shore Drive so it's all good.

Isn't this the perfect time for Chicago and Illinois politicians to suggest measures to "get guns off the streets!" They never have concern over illegal gun purchase and use. They only target legal gun owners, because that is who would threaten them and their illegal moves.

You have to feel very sorry for the cops in Chicago and other (of course democratic run) cities with large black populations since "snitches get stitches" is the creed in black areas. As I recall the solve rate for murders in Chicago is very low. I'd say why do the cops even bother, but most cops genuinely want to stop crimes and solve those committed.

They really are incompetent shots, aren't they? Six killed and 74 wounded. For the poor victims this is good, but they really don't want to come up against anyone who actually knows how to aim and hit. Some of these BLM and Blk Panther thugs talk big talk about starting a race war. They wouldn't do well, better not try that.

Juneteenth will be back next year so in the meantime try to turn those numbers around and get to 74 dead over the weekend and only 6 wounded. Spend more time at the range, sold two hand grip squeeze the trigger and aim small miss small. Now get out there and practice and get those numbers up.

I could not care less about people being killed in Chicago. Let them kill each other off. They keep electing people like Lightfoot who call for defunding of cops, so as far as I am concerned, they are getting what they voted for. No sympathy.

Who does the Mayor blame? White Supremacy, guns, and racism. Guess there are a lot of Black White Whit Supremacists. The news blames Black SUV's. Guess SUV's now have a mind of their own and go around shooting people. DO gun laws even cover SUV's getting guns? The blame needs to be place where it belongs: Black on Black crime. It is unpopular to and non-PC to say, but it is true!

#8 The scary fact is, it isn't just weekends. Seven people were murdered last Monday. Of course, Lightfoot & Co. will tell you that problem is due to IN, KY and other states have lenient gun laws. Not that she's proven the guns used in crimes in Chicago come from those state or explained why neighboring states aren't warzones like Chicago but hey, why let logic enter into the narrative.

Chicago   — A veteran mail carrier is fed up and speaking out – exposing the behind-the-scenes issues affecting mail delivery. (Snip) The carrier, who wants to remain anonymous, believes the severe USPS staffing shortage is partially due to the emergency federal employee leave enacted this year – which gives postal workers up to 600 hours of paid leave for COVID-related reasons. That’s right, 600 hours – roughly four months of paid time off if employees qualify. “There’s rumors that people that’s using that COVID leave don’t need it,” the carrier said. And that’s not all.
