I used to think corporate bureaucracy was bad because it’s inefficient. That’s true, but it’s not the biggest problem. Rather, there’s a new invisible force at work in the highest ranks of corporate America, one far more nefarious. It’s the defining scam of our time — one that robs you of not only your money, but your voice and your identity. (Snip) This new woke-industrial Leviathan gains its power by dividing us as a people. When corporations tell us what social values we’re supposed to adopt, they take America as a whole and divide us into tribes.

I for one am sick and tired of watching "woke" commercials. At a last count over 2/3 actors were black against 13% of the population. This includes Volvo, Birkenstocks, Private Banking, even Arugula. This is sheer pandering. I am not of European descent but at this rate am longing for a return to some old fashioned bias and White Culture !

I noticed in June 2020. When all of the BLM/Antifa stuff started, the CEO of Kohl's used my personal account to send out emails about BLM awareness. As far as I am concerned, my account is used for purchases, payments, and coupons. That is it. I am not an employee and I am tiring of businesses lecturing me on how I should live. I am there to buy a product and that is it. If I want guidance with issues, I pray and read the Bible. God will tell me how to live not the "latest and greatest" CEO.

A friend of mine had someone he knew from Germany visit the U.S. a few months ago, and this visitor from Germany was convinced that the black population of the U.S. was at least 50% because of the number of blacks he saw on tv commercials. The same with the number of interracial couples. What he saw on tv was the complete opposite of what he saw while traveling about the country. He was also amazed at the number of drug commercials shown on American tv.

#3" my wife grew up in Germany and still has friends there. It is amazing how much Germans and other Europeans dislike Americans mostly because almost all of the "News" they see about America is from CNN.
They are surprised when my wife tells them what is really happening in America. Kind of like here with liberals.

Read the article and you'll see that Vivek (and the NYP) are trying to have their cake and eat it too with diagnosing the problem, but with wimpy solutions. The answers are for the individual, don't do business with these companies like Coke, Amazon, Delta, Google, etc. That's direct defunding of any company that expresses support for wokeness or BLM. If you hold shares in these companies, vote for anybody other than the current board and veto any raises in compensation. And show up at shareholder meetings and better, run alternate slates--this is if you have the time, ability, and money.
Unfortunately, until you hurt corporate leaders where it counts, and make their lives hell, talk like this article is useless. Vivek is trying to play us, I'm convinced. The clue was the meme about 1/6.

Over the last few weeks, radio stations owned by I-Heart-Radio have promoting the gay agenda with these odd commercials that are sponsored by Proctor & Gamble products like Charmin, Puffs and Pampers. Doesn't P&G realize the financial damage they're doing to themselves?

"Wokeness" is a wholly owned subsidiary of "social justice", which is a major part of American pop culture. Occasionally "patriotism" sneaks in, such as the post-9/11 era, but it generally fizzles out to something more "pop". It is all about being new and improved, a continual process. And where do "pop" companies want to be? It's not hip to be square/stale. That's the divide "conservatives" must learn to bridge. Any demonstrations to free the Capitol Insurrectionists? They're being held like Mandela...but we all have jobs and a clean permanent record...don't need the hassle.
