For 110 years, four generations of Mills family members earned their money by expanding their great-grandfather’s Chicago apron business into a medical supplier that ranked among the nation’s largest private companies. But soon after Democrats turned their attention toward raising taxes for the wealthy this year, the family signed a deal to cash out billions. The “opaque world of private US corporations” as opposed to the transparent world of US government, I suppose.

I think the alternative to the "opaque world of private US corporations" is the much more public (required by law) dealings of publicly owned (stock market) US corporations. And if they want to retain this business, they can sell it off, take their capital gains, pay the low taxes now, and then after a time, buy it back.

Families, Individuals, and Family-Owned Businesses that have succeeded and acquired any wealth are the targets of this administration. The financialization of this country is destroying the original idea of The United States. Bloomberg printed a promotional opinion piece last week that America should be a nation of Renters. Capital Gains Tax combined with high inflation will drain not only the pockets of the wealthy but the "Middle Class". You are owned Lock, Stock, and Barrel by the US Government. They tax your earnings, assets, and property at the rates they choose (voting for your representative is a con job to give you a sense of being in control.) You cannot leave this country without their permission (Passports). You cannot live or immigrate to another country with out paying huge fees or fines. WE ARE SLAVES that have been brained washed into believing we are FREE. It is only going to get worse folks.

Good grief! Look around any hospital, any medical office, any medical supply store - even Costco - and you’ll see the Medline brand. From OTC products to disposables like catheter bags to wheelchairs… Are the original owners Democrats? I wonder how many Democrat business owners are being smacked by Biden’s irresponsible, punishing policies? As for the “opaqueness” of private business, why should it not be?

No sweat as there are bound to be a lot of eager Chinese buyers out there, and if a trusted advisor is needed Hunter Biden can fill that bill.

Chicago   — A veteran mail carrier is fed up and speaking out – exposing the behind-the-scenes issues affecting mail delivery. (Snip) The carrier, who wants to remain anonymous, believes the severe USPS staffing shortage is partially due to the emergency federal employee leave enacted this year – which gives postal workers up to 600 hours of paid leave for COVID-related reasons. That’s right, 600 hours – roughly four months of paid time off if employees qualify. “There’s rumors that people that’s using that COVID leave don’t need it,” the carrier said. And that’s not all. The carrier said his supervisor told him package delivery is now a priority over first-class mail.

I used to think corporate bureaucracy was bad because it’s inefficient. That’s true, but it’s not the biggest problem. Rather, there’s a new invisible force at work in the highest ranks of corporate America, one far more nefarious. It’s the defining scam of our time — one that robs you of not only your money, but your voice and your identity. (Snip) This new woke-industrial Leviathan gains its power by dividing us as a people. When corporations tell us what social values we’re supposed to adopt, they take America as a whole and divide us into tribes.

Educators around the country have come out to condemn a 'Dismantling Racism in Mathematics' program which tells teachers not to push students to find the correct answers to math problems because doing so promotes white supremacy. The program is centered around a workbook for teachers entitled 'A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction' which asserts that America's education system – even mathematics instruction – reinforces the dominant power structures of white colonizers. Grading students, asking them to show their work, requiring participation and even pushing them to get the right answer are depicted in the workbook as harmful to minorities.

“This isn’t the first time Biden’s warned the gov’t would use every weapon in its arsenal against Americans,” quipped Tom Elliott, remembering how Biden said something like this at a rally early last year. Maybe the Second Amendment should be extended to include F-15s. Seriously, though, this dumb gun-control talking point is deathless even though it’s never been clearer how untrue it is. Watch, then read on. There are many lessons to be learned from America’s adventure in Afghanistan but an easy one is that a crudely equipped force using guerrilla tactics is fully capable of prevailing over one with superior firepower. Cornell University has introduced an astronomy course to explore the connection between the term black holes and “racial blackness” — proof, say critics, that even the hard sciences aren’t immune to universal “racial hysteria.”The course, titled “Black Holes: Race and the Cosmos,” uses work from black studies theorists, artists and fiction writers to challenge “conventional wisdom” about the role that race plays in astronomy.“Conventional wisdom would have it that the ‘black’ in black holes has nothing to do with race. Surely there can be no connection between the cosmos and the idea of racial blackness. Can there?” reads the college catalog description.

In one of the best arguments for the Second Amendment ever spoken by a president, Biden asserted that no one can stand up to the government without F-15s and nuclear weapons.
