I turned a game off the other night when I saw a rainbow sign of some sort superimposed on the pitching mound, and fans with rainbow flags in the stands. Enough already.

MLB dropped our minor league team. But now they have their own league and attendance is UP. Enjoying cheering for The River Riders as much as we did the Cubs, but for a small fraction of the price.

Watch Sunday Night BB only when my team is playing. Coverage stinks. My usual commentators are not on, announcers talk wayyyyyyyy too much (let the game breathe in the name of Doubleday for crying out loud). Otherwise I watch my MLB team as often as I can. They can have their social stuff - I FF thru it or steel myself against buying anything connected with it. The MLB ministers have messed up the game like the despots they are. In the meantime Play Ball!

Interesting bit of irony: Responding to the Chi-Com Flu, MLB fell for BLM and ended up shooting themselves in the head.

I worked with a group of guys who were die-hard baseball fans. They loved the game, played when they were young, coached their kids in Little League, went on group vacations for spring training, spent a fortune on tickets each summer. Not one of them has tickets for a game this year. They turned their backs on MLB when MLB embraced leftist politics - last summer it was players taking a knee in solidarity with BLM, this year it's been the All Star Game move and "pride" flags and logos all over the stadiums. I don't think they'll ever attend another MLB game.

Love the game. Hate the MLB. The game is Americana. It's summer. To fully experience and appreciate it watch an afternoon semi-pro game (no night game lunacy), and right after they've mowed the outfield grass. It's heaven. And the relief pitcher is God.

It's no longer about the game. It's aboutt the cause. Major league sports panders. to the left wing cause of the day and has left their fan base behind. Come to think of it, so has the NCAA. Sports have become insufferable.

We enjoy watching our two local teams, although rarely see the Dodgers because we don’t subscribe to the channel their management did a deal with. We record the games and watch them on half-hour delay - that way we can excise the commercials and the commentator chitchat. ESPN’s special baseball coverage is hopeless. Bad announcers, including an annoying woman. Spoils a perfectly good game which I found belatedly is not always boring. New rules may kill it...

Major league sports, Hollywood, so-called "news" media, the FBI, courts including the Supreme Court, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Disney, Victoria's Secret, Twitter, Facebook, etc., etc. - the Left befouls and destroys EVERYTHING it touches and it tries, with great success, to touch everything. When will enough people begin to recognize this pernicious philosophy for the deadly evil it is? Or is it already too late?

Here's an idea MLB, Owners, Players Union. Antifa Night, BLM Night, We Love Karen's Night, Defund the Police Night, Fauci Rocks Night, We Back Critical Race Theory Night, Rename Critical Race Theory Night, LeBron James Night, Slavery Ok For Uighur's Night, Down With Fair Voting Night, Stacey Abrams Night, Congress Night, You won't make much at the door because the crowd will be victims and shouldn't have to pay, but when you next speak to Soros, I'm sure he'll pick up their tab. Giveaways for all nights will be a free vaccine shot, double MLB mask, and a Nancy Pelosi Bobblehead.

When I was a kid, I was a die-hard Cubs fan. My "sports hero" was Mr. Cub. I used to love to listen to Jack Brickhouse and Lou Boudreau call the games on WGN radio. During summer vacation, I played baseball all day long, except to do my chores. When the players went on strike for the first time, I was shattered. How could they?? I lost interest in baseball and all other professional sports and haven't looked back. I can find better things to do with my time.

Funny how it happens. You start by getting pizzed of at baseball players who won't stand for the anthem let alone sing along. Then comes a so called pandemic where they just collect their fat paychecks and don't play baseball. Then they play a little bit of baseball in empty stadiums for TV and the likes of Dr. Fuzzy. Then they want me to come back and I don't remember missing it. Sorry, no season ticket seat licensee this year. I've found other ways to entertain myself. Ditto NFL and NBA.

MLB should invite all Black Lives Matter movement members and supporters into their ballgames “free” as their reparations contribution to Black society and see what happens? They could even throw in “free” beer as a kicker.

Psaki told Fox News' Peter Doocy at Monday's press briefing that while she and President Joe Biden hadn't spoken specifically about the incident, Biden is 'incredibly proud to be an American and has great respect for the anthem and all that it respresents, especially for our men and women serving in uniform all around the world.' 'He would also say, of course, that part of that pride in our country means recognizing there are moments

Today is Prime Day. Imagine trying to explain that to an alien or to a time traveler from the 20th century. “Amazon turned 20 and on the eve of its birthday, the company introduced Prime Day, a global shopping event,” reads Amazon’s formal telling of the ritual’s 2015 origins. “Our only goal? Offer a volume of deals greater than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members.” The holiday was invented by a corporation in honor of itself, to enrich itself. It has existed for six years and is observed by tens of millions of people worldwide. I hope you are spending it with your loved ones.

A US hammer thrower turned away from the American flag as the national anthem played while she and two other athletes stood on the podium at the Olympic trials Saturday, later saying she was “pi**ed” that “The Star-Spangled Banner” played as she received her bronze medal. Gwen Berry — who qualified for her second US Olympic team during the trials — shifted to face the stands rather than the flag before holding up a black shirt that read, “Activist Athlete.” “I feel like it was a setup, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of the anthem being played. “I was pi**ed, to be honest.

DENVER  — As the delta variant continues to spread throughout the country, the World Health Organization is asking vaccinated people to still wear masks to stop the spread of COVID-19. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, however have not changed, allowing fully vaccinated people to go without a mask. In Denver-area hospitals, doctors tell FOX31 at least half of the unvaccinated COVID-19 patients are sick with the delta variant. The variant is significantly more contagious, and the symptoms patients feel are worse than from the original COVID-19 virus. Doctors continue to stress the message, that it’s the vaccines that will ultimately stop the spread. CORRECTION*
