President Biden wants to spend in excess of $1 trillion to combat climate change, but more than one-third of Americans are unwilling to chip in a single buck. A poll of 1,200 registered voters released Tuesday by the Competitive Enterprise Institute found that 35% were unwilling to spend any of their own money to reduce the impact of climate change, with another 15% saying they would only go as high as $10 per month. Another 6% said they would be willing to spend between $11 and $20 per month. At the other end of the spectrum were those who said they would part with between $901

The Biden administration ended an inquiry into a possible connection between the origins of the novel coronavirus and a lab in Wuhan, a CNN report published Tuesday claims. The State Department launched the previously-undisclosed inquiry last fall under President Trump–but the effort was shut down this spring because of “concerns about the quality of its work,” CNN reported, citing three unnamed sources. Allies of Mike Pompeo, Trump’s Secretary of State, were looking into the possibility that the coronavirus pandemic may have started in Wuhan Institute of Virology and not in nature, CNN reported. But after the changeover in administrations, concerns were raised

Some liberal goof asserted that Ron DeSantis resided somewhere on the Asperger’s Spectrum in a recent tweet that I can’t dig up with just a cursory search, but said pinko tweeted that like it was a bad thing. It’s not. It’s a great thing, and we need more GOP pols with that condition’s political manifestation. People with Asperger’s tend to miss social cues and fail to respond as society expects, but many are also focused, driven, and generally amazing in their areas of interest. When you put those qualities together in a right-wing officeholder, that means you have a Conservative Terminator. Conservativing is what he does; it’s all he does.

A rise in violent crime is endangering slim Democratic congressional majorities more than a year out from the midterm elections and threatening to revive “law and order” as a major campaign issue for Republicans for the first time since the 1990s. Homicides in cities increased by up to 40% over the previous year, the biggest single-year increase since 1960, a trend that has not abated so far in 2021. Sixty-three of the 66 largest police jurisdictions saw a rise in at least one category of violent crime, ranging from homicide and rape to robbery and assault, according to the Major Cities Chiefs Association.

The slight goes beyond breaking a promise made repeatedly. It may create a legal mess for the Speaker of the House if a recent Department of Justice decision is heeded.

The Left and the media long suspected that the Department of Justice memo upon which former Attorney General William Barr based his decision not to prosecute then-president Donald Trump for obstruction of justice contained a “smoking gun” that would prove Trump guilty and discredit Barr’s conclusions.
Judge Amy Berman Jackson apparently put that theory to rest when she ordered the release of part of the memo that dealt with how Barr reached that decision. Barr relied on advice from several sources, including the Office of Legal Counsel. The OLC recommended against prosecuting Trump, not only because there are constitutional issues with prosecuting a president for obstruction,

Ron DeSantis torched a reporter Monday who asked whether the governor signed a Big Tech censorship bill because of former President Donald Trump.“You’re loyal to former President Donald Trump, and Donald Trump is now a resident in Florida and he was de-platformed,” the unidentified reporter asks. “Is this bill for him?”“The bill is for everyday Floridians, this is what we’ve said and it will allow any Floridian to be able to provide what they’re doing. But I do think that’s another issue that has been brought to bear: when you de-platform the president of the United States but

The D.C. mayor wants $400 million devoted to creating more affordable housing. Mayor Muriel Bowser will deliver her budget to the D.C. Council on Thursday. With the new project in the Petworth neighborhood Spring Flats nearing completion behind her, Bowser said she plans to commit $400 million toward housing when she presents her budget. “My budget will include enough local rental supplement program vouchers to ensure that 50% of the homes produced using the FY 22 Trust Fund dollars are for residents making between zero and 30% of the median family income, and we know that’s a big deal,” Bowser said.

Actor and comedian Ricky Gervais perfectly summed up Twitter during a recent stand-up routine and shared the footage online, to our benefit.“I don’t know who’s following me. I’ve got 12 million followers — I don’t know who is following me,” he said in the clip. “They could be following me without me knowing, choose to read my tweets and then take that personally.”Gervais laid out what that experience would equate to in real life. Despite what many may believe, Twitter is not real life.

The media and Maricopa County officials have been claiming that voter result databases were not deleted; and they reference the ability of the auditors to recover the deleted information as proof the voter data was never deleted. However, according to technical forensic expert Ben Cotton, the ‘D’ drive of the EMS Primary Server was in fact deleted. It was only because of his extensive experience in the data forensics field that he was able to recover the deleted files; which is exactly what he said at the Arizona State Senate hearing on May 19th.(Video)QUESTION – ““Did you determine that the D drive was deleted?”

At least six people — including two teens — were shot in separate incidents across the Big Apple overnight, cops said. The youngest victim was a 17-year-old boy who was blasted in the back around 10:15 p.m. Sunday during a dispute at Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 120th Street in Harlem, cops said. He was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition. Shortly before 1 a.m. Monday, an 18-year-old woman was shot in the back when someone fired rounds from a car at Beekman Avenue and St. Mary’s Street, near St. Mary’s Park, in Mott Haven, police said.

I am now 100% convinced that the 49th Governor of the state of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, is trolling the whole state and daring anyone to stop her. Really. Buck Throckmorton over at Ace of Spades has an expert rant, decrying the incredible racism and white supremacy of the word 'Latinx,' courtesy of the Democrats.
He begins:
Question: Who uses the term “Latinx”?
Answer: White, left-wing English speakers.
Question: Who doesn’t use the term “Latinx”?
Answer: Latinos and Latinas.
Per a Pew Research Poll conducted in December 2019, only 3% of Hispanics use the term “Latinx.” Three percent! You are more likely to find a Whole Foods customer wearing a MAGA hat than you are to find an Hispanic who identifies as Latinx.

Twenty-one-year-old Lucas Gerhard was arrested almost two years ago in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, for sending an obvious joke to friends via a private Snapchat. Since then, he spent 83 days in jail, before being transferred to house arrest, where he is unable to go to school, leave the house, or use the internet. And this is all because he made a private joke about his legal AR-15. This is a heinous assault on both his First and Second Amendment rights. Moreover, it takes place against a backdrop of leftist prosecutors and governors across America bending over backward to release violent criminals.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took a sarcastic jab at social media platforms on Monday, asking if Dr. Anthony Fauci should be deplatformed after he said earlier this month he was "not convinced" that COVID-19 developed naturally.
DeSantis referenced Fauci’s remarks at a press conference ahead of his signing of a Florida bill that will penalize social media platforms for suspending the accounts of political candidates.
During the event, the Republican governor argued that social media platforms had previously cracked down on accounts who posted claims that the COVID-19 pandemic may have originated at a lab in Wuhan, China.

The Biden administration is using the Jan. 6 incursion into the Capitol building as a pretext for a domestic spying campaign that will supposedly target “violent extremists” but is more accurately described as the beginnings of a Biden police state.
Last week, we learned that the Defense Department plans to monitor service members’ social media posts for “concerning behaviors.” According to The Intercept, which broke this story, the plan is to enlist a private firm to do the spying, so as to avoid nasty entanglements with the First Amendment. The Intercept reports that:

Though relationships between the press and politicians are supposed to be adversarial by nature, it’s no big secret that Ron DeSantis and the mainstream media’s exchanges are more combative than most. There are two big reasons for that. He’s the popular Republican governor of a red state and one who chose a vastly different (and what appears to be a far more successful) approach to handling the coronavirus outbreak than the more draconian ones preferred by the MSM in blue states with Democratic governors like New York and Michigan. Not only that, but DeSantis was a staunch ally of President Trump

President Joe Biden certainly wasn’t elected for his oratorical skills. But the American people who did vote for him at least expected their incoming president would be able to speak basic English in speeches and at meetings. Those people would be wrong. On Monday, President Biden was called in to receive a hurricane briefing from FEMA. The Washington Post gave the set-up.“President Biden said he would ‘insist on nothing less than readiness’ as he visited the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Monday ahead of the official June 1 start of the Atlantic Ocean hurricane season,” the Post reported.

The world is so plagued by contradictions right now that I sometimes find myself quietly mouthing the opening sentences of Charles Dickens's A Tale of Two Cities (and I bet I'm not alone in this admission). In terms of safety, health, opportunity, and prosperity, there has never been a better time in human history, but hardly anyone living anywhere is celebrating. Barack Obama sold "hope" on his march to power, but Black Lives Matter and Antifa preach only despair at every turn. An American government invested in projecting strength abroad stokes fear at home. It has never been easier to acquire knowhow of almost any kind,

zIn the four years he was President, Donald Trump rebuilt the economy after the policy disasters of the Bush-Obama years, significantly curtailed illegal immigration, confronted and exposed the Chinese Communist Party, and with Operation Warp Speed conquered the China Coronavirus pandemic. While this list is impressive, his most significant long-term accomplishment may well place him in the pantheon of the American presidents that saved the nation: he fortuitously ripped open the floorboards and exposed the termites stealthily and relentlessly consuming the cultural, societal, and governmental foundation of the country.

COVID19 is a bad virus. The media has programmed us to believe that if we get with six feet of it, we’ll die. That’s not true, but the mental damage has been done. The Biden administration said Monday that it would appeal a judge's order directing it to release in its entirety a legal memo on whether President Donald Trump had obstructed justice during the Russia investigation. But it also agreed to make a brief portion of the document public.U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson earlier this month ordered the Justice Department to release the entire March 2019 memo as part of a public records lawsuit from a Washington-based advocacy organization. She said the department, under Attorney General William Barr, had misstated the purpose of the document in arguing that it was legally entitled to withhold it

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) campaign committee has repeatedly deceived donors by personally promising she would match campaign contributions but has not matched a single cent, according to a report.
Pelosi has been using a popular deceptive tactic used in political fundraising to gather more donations. According to the report by Axios, the tactic that has been under intense scrutiny is to promise donation-matching.
Pelosi’s campaign has reportedly gone a step further by the speaker promising the contribution matching would come from her personal fortune. But, reports show Pelosi has not made a single contribution from herself.

The White House on Monday reiterated that immigration czar Vice President Kamala Harris has no plans to visit the border — as new video shows a group of about 50 illegal immigrants overwhelming Border Patrol agents in Texas on Sunday, in the latest example of the ongoing crisis on the southern crossing. Despite the alarming footage, White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Monday said Harris, who was appointed by President Biden to oversee the border in March, still has made no arrangements to surveil the situation in person and talk to local officials there.

Just a thought occasioned by the fact that the United States recorded 13,541 cases yesterday, the lowest single-day number — by far — since the virus started rolling last March. The best we’d managed since April 1, 2020 was one day last June when cases slipped under 19,000 briefly as the country enjoyed a summer respite from its terrible first wave. But testing was still sparse back then. There were probably many infections going undetected.
Last June was also the last time we saw a seven-day average in daily cases of 25,000 or lower, again with lower testing. Right now we’re at 25,083.
Is this it? The imminent demise of COVID?

A measure long sought by conservative activists allowing Texans to carry handguns without a license is on the cusp of becoming law after the Texas Senate approved a compromise on the bill Monday, sending it to Gov. Greg Abbott.
Abbott has said he would sign the permitless carry proposal into law.
"We should have 'constitutional carry' in Texas," Abbott told North Texas radio host Rick Roberts in April. Just before midnight Sunday, the House approved the deal, hashed out behind closed doors, in an 82-62 vote. The Senate approved the deal Monday in a 17-13 vote.

We’ve heard about what Barack Obama reportedly thinks about Donald Trump from Edward-Isaac Dovere’s new book Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats’ Campaigns to Defeat Donald Trump, but Obama also had some things to say about Joe Biden… and they aren’t very flattering.
According to The Daily Mail, which has previewed Dovere’s book, Obama was “dubious” about Biden’s presidential aspirations in 2016. “Obama, for his part, went from assuring his aides not to worry, that his vice president was just working out his grief at his son’s [Beau’s] death by entertaining the fantasy of running for president, to becoming worried that Biden was actually getting lost in his fantasy.”

Dan Crenshaw has a thing or two to say about woke military recruitment.
Over the weekend, the Texas congressman slammed the service as it relates to political correctness, particularly regarding a United States Army marketing video.
As you’re likely aware, it’s a new look for American defense, not the least of which is accomplished by it being a cartoon: Older ads were a bit harder-edged: Perhaps more notably, America’s updated approach starkly contrasts that of Russia: China looks to take a different angle as well: That brings to mind a headline at — oddly — AmericanMilitaryNews.com: “Bill Maher Video: China Dominates World While US Busy with ‘Never-Ending Woke Competition.'”

If Rep. Liz Cheney thought the “strange new respect” she garnered from the left-wing media over the last several months would be long-lasting, she’s learning quickly that’s not the case. Apparently, simply being anti-Trump doesn’t mean much if you choose to not toe the line on every single issue.
With that said, I regret to inform all of you that the honeymoon is over. Who could have possibly foreseen this except everyone paying attention? This is the problem with seeking backslaps from Chuck Todd, Jake Tapper, The Washington Post, and the rest of the mainstream media. As a Republican, you are always just a tool

Prediction: The nays of Texas will likely be upon him. The obvious electoral disaster ahead hasn’t stopped Democrats in the Lone Star State from attempting to draft Robert “Beto” O’Rourke for a gubernatorial bid, though. The Associated Press reports this morning that O’Rourke is giving it serious consideration, despite running to the hard Left in the presidential primary in 2019:
There’s no road trip, no soul searching. No beard or blogging. But Beto O’Rourke is making a political life decision again.
Three years after becoming Democrats’ breakout star out of Texas, and a year removed from crashing back to Earth in a short-lived presidential run, O’Rourke is again weighing another campaign

A Bronx man busted for firing at a pair of NYPD officers outside a cell phone store was shooting to kill, police said Monday. Cops arrested Calvin Peterkin, 39, charging him with attempted murder of a police officer in the Wednesday night confrontation. The officers were responding to a call to the Boost Mobile store on E. 174th St. and Vyse Ave. in East Morrisania when they came across Peterkin outside. He had an ongoing dispute with the store’s workers, and was waving a gun at them, police said. When the officers arrived at about 6:30 p.m., he shot at them and they returned fire,
