President Biden wants to spend in excess of $1 trillion to combat climate change, but more than one-third of Americans are unwilling to chip in a single buck. A poll of 1,200 registered voters released Tuesday by the Competitive Enterprise Institute found that 35% were unwilling to spend any of their own money to reduce the impact of climate change, with another 15% saying they would only go as high as $10 per month. Another 6% said they would be willing to spend between $11 and $20 per month. At the other end of the spectrum were those who said they would part with between $901

I would first have to see any evidence of climate change. The weather around here is just like it is every other year. They keep telling us The Sky is Falling, but it just looks blue to me.

I am not willing to spend anything on Democrat hoaxes, the number of which is already huge, and increasing rapidly. I want to cut government spending by 50%. The government is unable to get the taxes out of taxpayers for all their spending, because none of it is of any benefit, or even the slightest interest, to the taxpayers. The French Revolution occurred because of fiat money. The French passed spending bills for a round of spending not paid for with taxes. Nothing happened. So they passed a second, then a third, still nothing. So they passed a 4th round, then a 5th round. Then the French Guildar collapsed, and the currency became worthless, and the French guillotined the government for it. We are on the 3rd round of our fiat currency spending in 5 months of the Biden administration, already at $6T. We will soon be dropping a couple of zeroes, so the computers and calculators will have room for entering the numbers.

After #1's evidence, I would need proof that pouring money after this thing would have any impact other than enriching crooks who seize this opportunity to bilk the taxpayers even further. You know, like politician's relatives and CEOs of companies that dont actually do anything.
We've been ripped off too many times.

I maintain that thinking man can change the earth's cycles of anything is the height of arrogance and folly. The warming today is a continuation of the receding last ice age, which by the way had New York under a mile or so of ice. I doubt seriously there were cars and factories around to start the "global warming" cycle back then. Another point would be if we could affect the climate to such a degree, don't you think we would have set the thermostat at a pleasant 72 degrees over the entire globe. Problem with that is we would lose a tremendous amount of land mass. So enough with the fantasy, start on something feasible.

"Climate change" is not about climate. It is about money, power, and control.

If the federal government spends $1 trillion to combat man-made climate change, it will violate the first amendment by supporting a religion. Climate has changed on the Earth continuously since before recorded history. Man's impact on the climate is a belief not a fact. Therefore, it is a religion.

A quaint notion; our government has no interest whatsoever in what the people want or need. We already spend a fortune chasing the green unicorn, thanks to Boy Barry's necessarily skyrocketed utility bills via EPA mandates, Compassionate George's renewable fuels mandate, the globalists' offshoring of US industrial capacity, and who knows what else.
