Prediction: The nays of Texas will likely be upon him. The obvious electoral disaster ahead hasn’t stopped Democrats in the Lone Star State from attempting to draft Robert “Beto” O’Rourke for a gubernatorial bid, though. The Associated Press reports this morning that O’Rourke is giving it serious consideration, despite running to the hard Left in the presidential primary in 2019: There’s no road trip, no soul searching. No beard or blogging. But Beto O’Rourke is making a political life decision again. Three years after becoming Democrats’ breakout star out of Texas, and a year removed from crashing back to Earth in a short-lived presidential run, O’Rourke is again weighing another campaign

I shudder to even think of it, but after how the Demon-Rats absolutely mastered the art of election theft -- combined with the stranglehold they have in some of the big cities like Houston and Austin (where they will control the vote counting) -- they could conceivably steal the governor's race even in pretty solidly Republican Texas.

With the years of democrat planned illegal immigration from across the border, mainly "benefiting" Texas and with the influx of democrat economic refugees from the deepest of blue states, bringing with them their predilection too glorify all things pro-communism, plus an admixture of refined cheating abetted by the media, anything is possible. Texans may not want Beto so much as breathing Texas air, much less adding another communist to Austin, but the state is rapidly filling with political shock troops of the left, so all bets are off, election-wise, unless we can bring in a counter balance of Normal Americans from other red states.

Seems to me he has bad timing. With Gov. Abbott ready to sign he Open Carry Bill on his Desk, Texans are happy as heck with their Governor. Along comes the Three Times Loser wanting to replace the Good Guy who believes every Texan should be able to carry the Gun they own. Hmmmm Beto is looking like a Cartoon Character about now! Never will he be Tall enough to make the Voters in Texas believe he is Bigger than Abbott!

Over a dozen Republican state treasurers sent a clear message to financial institutions Tuesday, threatening to pull their assets if they “de-bank” fossil fuel firms. John Kerry, the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, is leading the Biden administration to push banks to help reduce the carbon emission in the United States, according to Axios. This has also been criticized by the Senate Republican lawmakers on the Banking Committee. All the Republicans already sent a letter to stop pressuring banks to make energy-related lending commitments. The state treasurers, who collectively control hundreds of billions worth of assets, are doing the same thing. Fifteen treasurers led by West Virginia

Along with its ongoing ethical problems, a deceptive marketing campaign, and a continued hatred for non-liberal voices, it’s been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year for the Jeffrey Zucker-led CNN. And as per the latest Nielsen ratings, CNN has continued to hemorrhage viewers with primetime and entire day total viewership down over 70 percent since January. Nielsen Media Research has the breakdown and it’s not pretty, no matter how the Zucker Borg would spin it. Since a January high of roughly 798,000 primetime viewers and 530,000 total day viewers in the 25-54 demographic, CNN has fallen off a cliff and into the pit of misery

As recently as a few months ago it was common to see opinion pieces blaming the rash of hate crimes against Asian Americans on President Trump and rhetoric about the “Chinese virus.” Now, just a few months later, we have a spike in anti-Semitic attacks and the left is suddenly struggling to make the same kind of generalizations about who is responsible. The climate of hate argument only seems to operate in one direction. Yesterday, PBS News Hour interviewed Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League about the rise in anti-Semitic violence. To his credit, Greenblatt said that what has been happening over the past month is unlike

Yesterday, Peter Doocy asked Jen Psaki why President Biden wasn’t pressing for more information on the Wuhan lab leak theory. “We have repeatedly called for the WHO to support an expert-driven evaluation of the pandemic’s origins,” Psaki replied. That answer was very troubling, I observed in our story on Psaki’s response. Is there an American investigation still ongoing into the question from the Biden team, I asked? Because it doesn’t sound like it, from what Psaki was saying — and because we surely can’t trust anything that WHO concludes on the matter, given their prior actions. Turns out that was a good question to ask. Because now there are reports

A breakthrough infection is when a fully vaccinated person becomes infected with COVID-19. The new CDC report shows that such breakthrough infections may occur in just 0.01% of all fully vaccinated people.

Pelosi’s campaign has reportedly gone a step further by the speaker promising the contribution matching would come from her personal fortune. But, reports show Pelosi has not made a single contribution from herself.

Just a thought occasioned by the fact that the United States recorded 13,541 cases yesterday, the lowest single-day number — by far — since the virus started rolling last March. The best we’d managed since April 1, 2020 was one day last June when cases slipped under 19,000 briefly as the country enjoyed a summer respite from its terrible first wave. But testing was still sparse back then. There were probably many infections going undetected. Last June was also the last time we saw a seven-day average in daily cases of 25,000 or lower, again with lower testing. Right now we’re at 25,083. Is this it? The imminent demise of COVID?

We’ve heard about what Barack Obama reportedly thinks about Donald Trump from Edward-Isaac Dovere’s new book Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats’ Campaigns to Defeat Donald Trump, but Obama also had some things to say about Joe Biden… and they aren’t very flattering. According to The Daily Mail, which has previewed Dovere’s book, Obama was “dubious” about Biden’s presidential aspirations in 2016. “Obama, for his part, went from assuring his aides not to worry, that his vice president was just working out his grief at his son’s [Beau’s] death by entertaining the fantasy of running for president, to becoming worried that Biden was actually getting lost in his fantasy.”
