The Biden administration moved Thursday to ban menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars, fulfilling a key goal of anti-smoking groups who say the products harm minorities while sparking a debate about government overreach and the potential creation of an underground market. The Transportation Security Administration announced Friday it will extend a federal mandate that requires people to wear masks in transportation settings, including at airports, on commercial aircraft and on commuter bus and rail systems, through Sept. 13.
