Since last year, the department tasked with overseeing foster care and child welfare in New Mexico has been encrypting and routinely deleting its communications, making much of its work essentially untraceable. The leadership of the Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has directed staff to use Signal, a secure communication app, and has set chats to automatically delete. More democrat shenanigans courtesy of our whacko far left governor Lujan Grisham. And of course nothing at all will happen, this will just go away like all the rest of the scandals around the country. I love this quote, "“We destroy records every day because we have to; otherwise, we’d run out of space,” Blalock said..."

As a former court-appointed guardian ad litem, this makes me deeply concerned for the children in New Mexico's child protective services system. What are they trying to hide?

Does the state have any sort of an "official records law"? Most states require that all this communication be documented and preserved as official records. If not, time to get such a law passed.

A ban on oil and gas leasing on federal land could have dire consequences for New Mexico and the U.S. fossil fuel industry, as such a move was proposed by presidential hopeful and former-Vice President Joe Biden. Biden, who was nominated by the Democratic Party to challenge President Donald Trump in November’s election, previously announced that if elected President he would work to gradually phase out the leasing of federal public land to the oil and gas industry.

The news media and other crime families are singing the praises of the Biden campaign for its brilliant strategy of counter-programming the Republican Convention with Democrat riots and looting. NBC’s Chuck Todd, in an interview with the life-size cardboard cutout of himself he keeps in his bedroom for when his wife is away, said, “Republicans have debased themselves with calls for absurd patriotic unity, programs for garish prosperity and a foreign policy selfishly designed to help the United States before anyone else.”

A video circulating on social media (see below) shows the unnamed officer drive up to a protester and have a short conversation. “You having a good day today?” says the officer through his passenger side window, which is rolled down. “Not really, you’re around,” replied the protester. “I’m sorry for that. But just don’t worry man, cuz guess what? I’m leaving. You guys won,” the officer says. “F***ing two months baby, I’m out.” “You’re about to resign?”

He wasn’t representing Bernalillo County when he opposed efforts for common sense gun violence reforms. And he isn’t with us now," Heinrich said. The senator claims Sheriff Gonzales is inviting the Trump administration to send federal forces to help patrol the city.

FARMINGTON – A natural health store in Farmington has received community backlash in person and on social media after posting an anti-Black Lives Matter and Antifa sign, asking supporters of those groups to shop somewhere else. Wildly Natural Foods posted a sign earlier this week that said, “If you support ANTIFA and/or BLM please shop elsewhere.” When Sam Bibo, a resident of Durango for the last eight years, saw the sign posted on Facebook, she asked family friends who live in Farmington to visit the store to see if it was true.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New data from Johns Hopkins University shows that the Navajo Nation is now leading the nation in COVID-19 cases per capita. According to the data, the Navajo Nation has 2,304 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people. In comparison, New York has a rate of 1,806 per 100,000. New Jersey follows at 1,668 cases per 100,000. Much of the Navajo Nation lacks water and electrical utilities. At a time when disinfecting and hyper sanitation is critical to fight the virus, many homes don’t even have the basic infrastructure of running water.

Nearly a quarter of the people reported as coronavirus deaths in state statistics don’t have the virus listed on their death certificates – at least not yet – the state Health Department said Friday, adding more uncertainty to how many people the virus has killed in Colorado. The number of coronavirus deaths in state figures topped 1,000 earlier this week, and the number stood at 1,150 deaths as of Friday afternoon. But officials with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment revealed during a call with reporters

To understand why Mayor Nate Duckett wants Farmington, N.M., to reopen while the governor wants it shut, it helps to know something about what he calls his city’s “death spiral.” Perched in a rural corner of northwest New Mexico, Farmington watched its wealth vanish as its oil and gas industries went elsewhere. Its population is one of the fastest-shrinking in America. What keeps the lights on in Farmington is a coal-fired power plant whose fate remains uncertain. And all of that was before the virus leveled what remained of Farmington’s economy.

Cheney, R-Wyo., is the chair of the House Republican conference and has taken heat from many on the right over her vocal condemnation of Trump after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol by a mob of his followers. That has spurred Trump's wrath in multiple forums and triggered a handful of Republicans to announce primary challenges to her

When U.S. Catholic bishops hold their next national meeting in June, they'll be deciding whether to send a tougher-than-ever message to President Joe Biden and other Catholic politicians: Don´t receive Communion if you persist in public advocacy of abortion rights. At issue is a document that will be prepared for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops by its Committee on Doctrine, with the aim of clarifying the church's stance on an issue that has repeatedly vexed the bishops in recent decades. It's taken on new urgency now, in the eyes of many bishops, because Biden.... is the first to hold that office while espousing clear-cut support for abortion rights.

Kamala Harris hasn't been looking well lately. She gave a maskless interview to CNN's Dana Bash a week ago, and she looked much more jowly and wrinkly than she did just three months ago, when she took the oath of office. She has a bit more junk in the trunk now, and gone are the purple, maroon, and ivory suits; it's black or navy all the time now, the better to hide the extra jiggly bits. A lot of her sentences now begin with "Well, I mean," signaling the intellectual vacuity she's settled for, as though she's completely given up on trying to sound smart.
