President Joe Biden delivered his first address to a joint meeting of Congress Wednesday night as he pitched his economic plan took a dig at Wall Street and invoked the Jan. 6th riot to level criticism at former President Donald Trump.Speaking to a slice of lawmakers that reflected the growing muscle of the progressive wing of his own party, Biden said there were 'good guys and women on Wall Street – but Wall Street didn't build this country. The middle class built the country. And unions built the middle class.' 'Look, I’m not out to punish anyone. But I will not add to the tax burden

Paying people to sit around and do nothing ever built anything. If your time, sacrifice and sweat didn't go into an accomplishment, it will have no value to you.
Money and manufacturing will go offshore again and only the middle class will be affected, as usual. The rich will not hand over a large chunk of their earnings and I don't blame them.

A union never created anything. Unions owe their existence to big corporations, traded on... Wall Street. The middle class came about not only because of unions. It rose up because the US offers conditions favorable to the establishment of a middle class Hard working people made the middle class. Stop romanticicizing the unions.

More than once -- especially when he wasn't speaking -- Biden displayed the same mindless expression you used to see on the face of Jim Ignatowski from the sitcom, Taxi. Oh, how this nation has fallen.

Biden lied and defrauded his way into the presidency.... he's doing the same thing now with your wallet and your future. Feel free to believe him if you want to end up like Venezuela.

Gosh JoeBoy you forgot a small detail. If you create a JOB, somebody has to be willing to DO IT.
When you're printing free money nobody wants to DO IT.
Old Soviet Russian joke. They pretend to pay us and we pretend to work.
Nice infrastructure you got there. Shame something should happen to it.

Will start with minimum wage $15.00 per hour to appease low income workers and we will see the damage that comes with that!

I was busy doing some yard work and didn't even know this demented jokster was on the tube yesterday evening. Even had I known, I'm not about to waste my time listening to his leftist garbage. Nanie behaved last night and didn't tear up her copy of the speech again?

I didn't take time to read this entire, commendably complete book (article). It is part catalogue of horrors, part gallery of nightmares. We are ruled by loathsome criminals. But this I got from a cursory digestion: we are now past the End of the Beginning. We are at the Beginning of the End. If this tyrannical regime cannot somehow be ended, we will hit bottom; sooner rather than later.

I can say without contradiction that I have gotten a job from a poor man. Also there is a vast difference between Trade Unions, Government Unions, and Labor Unions.

His lack of knowledge of our history is appalling. Who does he think built the railroads, subways, power lines and telephones systems? The Good Fairy? No, it was Wall Street Bankers and other entrepreneurs who risked their capital to do so. And if anybody said they did some rotten things, yes they did. But so did our government when we built the TVA.

Economics is not one of the "arts" ... it is one of the "sciences". It is the least understood however!
Everyone with any opinion thinks they understand how markets work and wealth is created. It is this total lack of understanding of economics that has caused the world's problems. Yes ... think about it. Trying to get people to work for free, governments thinking it's okay to take what you have and give it to another, taxing for "the common good" that isn't good nor does it benefit everyone ... it only benefits a few. All because people don't get economics.
They wouldn't try to build a plane without understanding aerodynamics nor build a bridge with no understanding of engineering, yet they play with economics all the time. And always end up burned!

Savings and investment from citizens built this country. And the citizens chose what to invest in, not the government. Stock brokerages have been around over 300 years, because that is a means of accumulating the savings and directing it into investments. Biden is an idiot.

It's all propaganda and even Joe's feeble little pea-brain knows it. We don't need to create jobs in an economy that had 2% unemployment. COVID did not shut down the economy, democrat "officials" did. "Help Wanted" signs are everywhere. Those are real jobs, Joe, not your unionized green fantasies which will amount to nothing. I wish I could get close enough to slap this idiot.

In other words, Henry Ford didn't build automobiles. (Did you ever see him and his rich investor friends sweating all day on the assembly line?) No, it was the United Auto Workers who built the cars, and they, not Ford, should get the credit and the financial reward.
