Lachlan Murdoch, the successor to his father Rupert as the executive chairman and CEO of Fox Corporation., has made news himself in recent days for standing up to the woke mob that was, yet again, clamoring for the head of a Fox News host. This time --- for the umpteenth time --- the host in question was Tucker Carlson. Tucker had drawn the wrath of the mob for pointing to the obvious. Biden spoke to reporters about the border crisis after a round of golf at the Delaware Country Club on Saturday. He commented on the crisis as he explained why he reversed his position on raising the caps set by former President Donald Trump on refugees. “The problem was that the refugee part was working on the crisis that ended up on the border with young people,” he said to reporters. “We couldn’t do two things at once.

Few moments in life are as profoundly lonely as the day after the funeral of a loved one. And if the loss is of a lifelong companion – one's 'strength and stay', as the Queen so elegantly described her husband of 73 years, the Duke of Edinburgh – then it marks the point at which a life, irrevocably changed, must somehow carry on without them. The important paperwork and admin that always accompanies a death is largely done. The well-wishers and consolers have paid their tributes and shared memories. But when the door finally closes and Elizabeth is left alone without her Philip,

Ida B. Wells, born into slavery in 1862 and orphaned at 16, rose to fame as a journalist by shining light on things we didn't want to see — in particular, the horror of lynching. Five thousand Americans were lynched over 90 years, three quarters of them black. The numbers don't account for the notoriety of the practice; rather, the demonic zeal of its practitioners does. Even reading about it will turn your stomach. Do not look at the photos they displayed with pride of charred bodies.
